I'll admit I've actually been trying to memorize both versions as trivia, hahah, but I haven't really gotten far on each.  Aside from the first few, all I could really remember is "Sierra" for the English, and XYZ and "Nordpol" (one of the only ones that isn't a name, meaning "North Pole") for the German.

NATO phonetic alphabet, for people who need to spell stuff over radio or something. It's specially designed so no words sound alike. For example, using "dog" and "fog" for D and F would be bad because if there was any static, they'd both sound the same.

Well, one of the tricks is figuring out the ghosts' general patterns.  I don't think they're as visible in the Flash version, but each has a distinct personality which can make their movements easier to predict once you figure them out.
