Well, Hallie could've gone up into the King's Storeroom, but I assume she thought it would take too much time to scale the wall and went thru the Tomb of the Headless Kings door which was right there.  But if she'd gone up into the King's Storeroom she would've been taken out there instead, but her partner Jared could've gone across the rest of the top floor and gotten to the Dark Forest.  They certainly would've had enough time to get to the Useless Map.

Thou what I wanna know is if they could've taken a different path in The Pendant of King Kamehameha? the only other episode in which a team with only one Pendant of Life meets all three Temple Guards.  The Guards in that one were pretty hard to avoid.

In a sense, I believe that it was a lot like Golden Cricket Cage of Khan & Stone Head of Evil King. They were very similar layouts, in which all of the runs could've gone straight up the Observatory & avoid two Temple Guards, but they all scaled the central shaft (or at least attempted to), & met those Temple Guards. Someone else said that a while ago, so I don't deserve credit that whole idea.
You're right about that, I mean she took a route downward, but I think she should not have taken the Ledges way now because she would have knocked the couloumn with her hands and gone downwards into the Tomb. And even though that's one guard, Jarred could have got a 'Harriet Tubman' kind of situation...ya know, running up to the Crypt....

At that point of time it was already two snakes. Also, I'll be adding my diagram soon!
Uh...I'm new...how do I add an image(diagram)?

Not all the rooms are like forests actually. The Forest of Fallen Logs is basiclly just like the Pit of Despair except there were vines and logs in it and the Bamboo Forest was filled with bamboo. So only the Dark Forest looks like a forest. And about the snake question...at that point of time it was already two snakes. Also, I'll be adding my diagram soon!

I can't eat properly at the Throne of the Pretender Restaraunt because the chairs and walls keep on revolving.

The Crypt's Fast Food serves some nice food, except there's too much bone in it too....

In the The Useless Map of the Chibcha Cheiftan, when the front runner knocks over the coloumn in the pit the King's Store Room door opens. THe frontrunner wanted to go up there but instead she went into the tomb. If she had gone up into the Storeroom she would'nt run into the Tomb guard would she? And if she took the Ledges she would only get one guard right? Does anyone have anything to say? :?:

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends. The Orange Iguanas have proven themselves worthy, and now have earned the right to enter Olmec?s Temple. But before we get started, Olmec will give us some information on how to retrieve the Sail of John Cabot.

Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Room of the Golden Books. Press in the right book, and enter the Forest of Fallen Logs. Next, climb into the Telescope Tower. Push the telescopes into the bases and that will lead you into Medusa's Lair, or into the Room of the Ancient Warriors.Place your self in the right armor to open the door to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed for the Navigation Tower. Turn the compass needle and ride down into the Teleportation Room. Here, you might smash through the stone wall into the Dark Forest, where you can grab the Sail. But beware the Temple Guard that may inhabit the trees! Find the key in he tree to enter the Bamboo Forest. If you escape you may have a chance to go into the Clock Room. Align the hands at 12 to unlock the doors. Next, race through the Forest of Fallen Logs, allowing you to finally crawl back throug the Ledges and back through the temple gates. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won one and a half pendants in the temple games. Who's going first?

Gabe: I am!

Olmec: Very well, Gabe. When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the temple and make your way towards the sail. Hidden inside the temple are temple guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant in for an extra life and go onbut if you are caught without a pendant, you will be taken out of the temple and it will be Evelyn's turn to enter and try her luck. If you can reach the sail, all the doors in the temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. Return through the gates with the Sail of John Cabot in three minutes and you'll be handsomely rewarded, and here's how!

(Prizes announced)

Kirk: Okay we wanna get the Orange Iguanas a vacation. Gabe, here let's get in position! Put your mouthpieces in 'cause you never know when you're gonna go. Let's set the clock for three minutes....

(Clock bangs down)

Kirk: OLmec, will you lower your gate, please!

Olmec: Hmmmmm......

(Gate is lowered)

Kirk: On your mark, Get SET, GO!!!!

(Gabe heads up into the temple and up into the Room of Golden Books. He presses all the books. Only the Ledges opens)

(He heads down into the Ledges and opens the Clock Room door wher he meets his first......TEMPLE GUARD!)

(Gabe aligns the hands to twelve and goes up to Medusa's Lair with 2:14 left)

(He sticks the right snakes with 1:58 left)

(Third set of armor in the Room of the Ancient Warriors opens the door to the Bamboo Forest)

(Gabe opens the Dark Forest door and grabs the sail with 1:00 left! He picks up speed and rushes along the top floor)

(At the Forest of Fallen Logs, he manages to climb across the walls with 0:14 left...)

(Gabe races through the Golden Books and makes it back through the gates with 0:02 seconds left!)

Kirk: He made it! He made it! Can you believe it? They got it all folks, they got it all! We gotta get out of here...I do n't wanna but we've gotta check us out next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple-buh-bye!

(Pendant Splits)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, let?s get to know our team players. On the Green Monkeys, we have Andrew. He is a soccer player and he is really acurrate at shooting! You don't wanna play against him! And his partner Cathrine comes from Georgia and let's hear it  for the Green Monkeys!

(Applause)

Kirk: And on the Orange Iguanas we have Gabe. He makes some pretty good jokes(unfortunetely we won't be hearing them)and he's really good at swimming. And his partner Evelyn is a great artist let's hear it for the Orange Iguanas!

(Applause)

Kirk: Ok teams, go set up for your games, and I?ll tell you what?s going to happen. In the temple games, teams are competing to win Pendants of Life. They need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games. Olmec, tell us about temple game number one.

Olmec: Cabot renamed Labrador. Now you will do the same. When Kirk says go, you will grab the letter 'L' and crawl under the tube, open the hatch and place it there then take a letter 'N' and go back and place it on the holder. If you get all the letters for Labrador, just get all the other letters. The first team that spells out 'Newfoundland' or the teams that is further along at the end of sixty seconds wins.

Kirk: They've gotta rename a state! Let's set the clock for sixty seconds!

(Clock bangs down)

Kirk: Ready, get set, go!

(Event Occurs)

Kirk: Well, the time is up! Let's check it out over here. The Orange Iguanas got one..two..three...four letters switched. The Green Monkeys got three, the Orange Iguanas get the half pendant of life! The next game is also worth a half pendant. Let's hear about it, Olmec!

Olmec: John Cabot sailed from England to Labrador and renamed it. Now, you must do the same. When Kirk gives the signal, you will jump into your 'boat', race down the ramp and sail to Labrador. Then get out and plant the flag on Labrador. Then go back and plant another one. The first player to get all six flags or the team that's further along at the end of sixty seconds wins!

Kirk: We've gotta plant some falgs. Set the clock for sixty seconds...

(Clock bangs down)

Kirk: On your mark, get set, GO!

(Event Occurs)

Kirk: Okay, Andrew managed to plant all six flags on Labrador so that gives the Green Monkeys the half pendant! The final game will give you a full pendant and so Olmec, tell us about it!

Olmec: According to the legend, the sail floated away when the Mathew sank. But it needed the wind to do that, and you're going to do the same thing. When Kirk says go, you will grab the sail, place it on your scooetr and roll it over to your partner. Then your partner must take the sail and place it on the pedestal. The first team that gets their sail up wins.

Kirk: Whoever wins this goes to the temple. Okay! No clock this time. On your mark, get set, GO!!

(Event Occurs)

Kirk: Okay, looks like the Orange Iguanas got the sail on the pedestal first! They get the full pendant and so the Orange Iguanas are going to the temple! Green Monkeys, come on, come over here. You did a great job and you're not goin' away empty handed. We've got a nice gif for both of you and here it is.

(Prizes are announced)

Kirk: Okay, only the Orange Iguanas are left. They blazed through it all. Now let's see about the final round. The Orange Iguanas are going to the temple and are goin' to retrieve the Sail of John Cabot, right after this!

Kirk: As the quest continues, it?s now time for Olmec to tell us about the Mathew's Sail. But everyone, pay close attention because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple.

Olmec: One of the more unknown explorers of the Exploration age was John Cabot. Unlike many other explorers, he was not famous or made great discoveries. In 1498, he sailed from England to Labrador and called it Newfoundland. When he went back, he wanted to sail again, so he asked for permission.

Cabot: Your majesty, will you fund my trip?

Olmec: he asked the King of England

King: Okay, but make some more discoveries

Olmec: replied the King. He was in luck, however and got four more ships from some merchants. In May of 1499, his ships set sail. One came back for repairs. The others never returned. The original ship, the Mathew sank. But legends has it that when the ship sank, the sail floated away. The sail is now in the temple. Your quest is to retrieve the sail and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you, Olmec. But tell us, where is the sail?

*Camera shows the Sail, and zooms out to show its location*

Olmec: The Sail of John Cabot can be found in The Dark Forest.

Kirk: Teams, you are standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question about the legend you just heard. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. Go ahead, stomp on it!

(Orange Iguanas stomp in first)

Kirk: Okay, Orange Iguanas. You'll have to answer the question. If you're right, move down one step, but if you're wrong and run out of time, you'll have to give another team a chance to answer. The first two teams that make it to the bottom step will go on to the next round. Olmec, we're ready for your first question.

Olmec: John Cabot sailed from England, Spain...

(The Orange Iguanas ring in.)

Orange Iguanas: England.

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Orange Iguanas move down to the second step.)

Olmec: Cabot sailed ion his first voyage in the year of...

(The Orange Iguanas ring in.)

Orange Iguanas: 1498

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Orange Iguanas move down to the third step.)

Olmec: What did Cabot call Labrador? Maine, Newfoun...

(The Orange Iguanas ring in.)

Orange Iguanas: Newfoundland.

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Orange Iguanas reach the bottom step.)

Kirk: Whoa, just like that, the Orange Iguanas are going to the temple games. Go on, Olmec!

Olmec: Which part of England did Cabot sail from? Bristol, London or....

(The Blue Barracudas ring in.)

Blue Barracudas: London?

Olmec: Incorrect.

(The Green Monkeys ring in.)

Green Monkeys: Bristol?

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Green Monkeys move down to the second step.)

Olmec: According to the legend, the ship sank and...

(The Purple Parrots ring in.)

Purple Parrots: The sail floated away.

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Purple Parrots move down to the second step.)

Olmec: What did the King do when Cabot...

(The Blue Barracudas ring in.)

Blue Barracudas: He funded Cabot's voyage.

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Blue Barracudas move down to the second step.)

Olmec: How many ships did Cabot take on his second voyage?

(The Green Monkeys ring in.)

Green Monkeys: Umm...Five

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Green Monkeys move down to the third step.)

Olmec: How many ships returned to...

(The Green Monkeys ring in.)

Green Monkeys: One

Olmec: That is correct.

(The Green Monkeys reaches the bottom step.)

Kirk: These two team are moving on to the Temple Games. They are the Green Monkeys and the Orange Iguanas. Blue Barracudas and Purple Parrots gave it a great effort, and they're not going to go home empty handed. We got a prize for both of them, and here it is.

(Prize is announced)

Kirk: That's great. Hang on to your seats though, 'cause the Green Monkeys and the Orange Iguanas are going to compete to enter Olmec's temple, right after this!

(the camera zooms in on an ancient lush jungle, the palms are moving away as an elephant is heard. all the palms are gone, showing Olmec)

Olmec: Legends of the Hidden Temple.

(The camera shifts to the temple and its rooms)

Olmec: With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now.

(The Pit door opens and Kirk jumps out and walks on stage)

Kirk: Thank you, thank you! It's nice to see you! Thank you, Olmec. Welcome to the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lots of treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we going to hear about today?

Olmec: The Legend of John Cabot and the Mathew's Sail.

Kirk: One of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Sail. Will it be The Red Jaguars? The Blue Barracudas? The Green Monkeys? The Orange Iguanas? The Purple Parrots? Or the Silver Snakes? They?re going to have to pass some tough mental and physical tests, and in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec?s temple, but first they have to cross the moat, and Olmec will tell us how they?ll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before you hangs a vine. When Kirk gives the signal, the first player will swing and go to the nets. Once they are on the nets, they climb up, drop down and wade to shore. Then the partner does the same. If a person falls into the moat, then they must start from the beginning. Once the second player is on the other side, they must run over and hit the gong. (Kirk hits the Silver Snakes' gong). The first four teams to hit their gong will go on to the next round.

Kirk: Teams, are you ready?

Teams: Yeah!

Kirk: Olmec, are you ready?!

Olmec: Let's get rocking!

Kirk: On your mark? get set? GO!!!!!

(Event occurs)

Kirk: We have our four teams.  Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Purple Parrots! The Orange Iguanas! The Green Monkeys! And the Blue Barracudas! Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes did a great job. We got a nice gift for them, and here's what it is.

Sorry, I forgot to add these! :)
The Clock Room
There is a large clock in the front of the room. The player has to align the hands at twelve to open the doors(Takes place of the Throne Room).
The Telescope Tower
At the back of this room are three telescopes. The player must choose one of them and place it into the T-Base placed at the front of the room. If it was the right telescope, the doors will open(takes place of the Observatory).

The Forest of Fallen Logs
Similar to the Pit of Despair, but there are several large 'logs' around the room. A couple of vines hang from the ceiling. This is an actuator-based room.
The Navigation Tower
If the player came from the Teleportation Room(more on that later), he had to take a treasure map(rolled-up)from the back and put it in one of three map holders. If the player came from the right, he had to turn the compass needle to raise the top tube allowing acess to the elevator.
Like the Pirate's Cove, but that's what I have.
The Teleportation Room
Several blue lights shine on the players. The player can break the wall, open the Shrine tube(allowing acess to the ladder), or take the elevator up the tube to the The Navigation Tower.
