I gave the Broken Trident a 7. This was a neat and original idea for an artifact, and it was actually relevant to the historical figure they covered. I really liked the storyline they used in this episode, and the artifact name was pretty cool too. I would've rated this artifact higher if the Trident didn't look so fake. I know it is not possible to find a real broken trident, but at least make it look a little realistic. The Marble Armrest was not made out of marble, but it looked like it came from a real marble armrest. But still, it was a cool idea for an artifact and I loved the legend.  :mrsilver:

I also gave the Broken Trident a 7, for the same reasons. :mrsilver: The trident kind of looks like a menorah too.

I gave the Dead Man's Hand a 3. Just look at the artifact... it is literally playing cards glued together. Granted, that is what that deck of cards is called. But it feels so lazy and lame. It was kind of a neat concept though for an artifact. On a side note, this is such a deceiving artifact. Everyone thinks that it is referencing an actual dead hand, like the Shriveled Hand and Mummified Hand.

I also gave it a 3. I mean, it's just a pair of cards. Say it with me now: Season 1 artifacts suck!

I can't imagine Sarah and Josh running out of the temple with this in their hand. It was just a set of cards for crying out loud.

Kind of like how we're lucky Shem didn't actually escape with the Golden Earring. If he had pulled a Poseidon, he'd never find the earring.

I gave it a 4.

It's not the most amazing artifact ever, but again, it is exactly what it's supposed to be. So it does it's job well.

Yeah, I can't really think of a way to make these artifacts better. I mean a Dead Man's Hand is that exact pair of cards after all. I wish they did something a little more fancy though then just glue the cards together. I mean it would look so silly if someone brought a set of cards back to the temple gate with a victory. At least they didn't put an actual hand holding the cards or anything.  ;)

Look at it this way: At least we didn't see any paste stick out on any of these cards. Now THAT would've looked cheap. ;)

EDIT: And I just got Post 5,000 of the Chamber! :mrred:

Dead Man's Hand finishes with a 3.80.

Next up is "The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein". If you've noticed, I have been jumping around a little bit with some of the artifacts and not following the list in exact order. I am jumping around by using RNG or requests. ;)

I gave Hans Holbein an 8. It was a decent painting and the figure in the painting actually looks like Henry VIII. However, the episode title is a little misleading. It makes you think that the Missing Portrait is Hans Holbein when he was the one that actually painted it. The only problem I have with this artifact is that the frame is so ugly. The Priceless Portrait is a much better artifact that the Missing Portrait. It is still a beautiful artifact though and it is better than most on the show.  :mrblue:

TRJ, haven't I been requesting to you since this thread started to rank Stone Marker sometime soon, if not next? Come on, you already ranked Paintbrush, now how about the artifact that you for some reason named yourself after? You know you want to. ;)

And I gave the portrait an 8. It was a neat artifact, and I like the frame.
