Soundstage 18 / Interesting BrainSurge Fact
« on: August 03, 2010, 09:55:08 AM »
Yeah, you guys are probably right. While I'm glad BrainSurge is doing alright, it's sad that kids today aren't into game shows. I mean, you look at these classic Nick game shows, and they all combined fun, exercise, and even educational values. Kids could use shows like that today. Really, the only good show left on Nick (besides BrainSurge) is SpongeBob, and mainly the older episodes, when the show still had intelligent writing. Penguins of Madagascar is alright, but other than those I don't watch much on Nick these days.

BrainSurge is actually from the same company that produced Legends.

http://www.stonetv.com/credits.html

Towards the bottom of the page, Legends is mentioned under ''Stone Stanley Credits''.

Maybe I'm going out on a limb, but since BrainSurge has been doing pretty well (it was renewed for a second season), is there some slim chance that Legends could see a revival?

The Dark Forest / Nick Movie Rumor
« on: July 25, 2010, 01:21:48 AM »
I'm thinking this is a hoax, but it would be very interesting if true.

I just hope they release All That on DVD (through Amazon) or other live-action shows, it's only the Nicktoons who are getting the love.

Soundstage 18 / Nick Arcade Remake

I think a remake of Nick Arcade could definitely work today, with new technology like online gaming and the Wii.

LOL!!! You BOTH need to post a "Retaliation" vid against those youtube newbs!!! I recommend something with the copyright dates of BOTH GUTS and Ninja Warrior!

Well, I kinda posted a retaliation comment haha....I of course noted that GUTS started in 1992, Ninja Warrior in 1997. I also noticed that this person calling GUTS a ripoff also couldn't spell (he called Guts "epic loose"), and when I looked at his page, he looked like he was about 10 years old. Just a typical YouTube idiot.

As for the new show, it really surprised me. It followed the original a lot closer than I thought it would, even right down to the piece of the radical rock and the "No ifs ands or buts, this family's got GUTS!" The events were great, the Crag was great, but the problem was that everything seems to be a lot shorter than it was, and there are only three events this time instead of four (counting the Crag.) And of course, everyone knows noone can host GUTS like Mike and Mo did, but the new hosts did a decent job. They could've hired someone worse, I'm sure. Other than that, I enjoyed it and I will be watching even more of the show.

Of course, all the retards on YouTube are calling it a ripoff of "Ninja Warrior"   Even though that show started 5 years after GUTS did, and has nothing in common with it.

Well, Mike O' Malley is still in the entertainment business. I saw the movie "Meet Dave" in July, and Mike was a supporting character (he played an NYPD officer). I wonder if he would have accepted the role of host again, if he was offered.

I'm not sure what Mo is doing now. I think she does some cartoon voices.

The Heart Room / Daily Episode Log - GaS/TurboNick

It has been on this computer-controlled loop for about 3 years now. So who knows when the network will 'crash'.

The Dark Forest / When did Nickelodeon Jump the shark?

Just when I thought Nick couldn't get any worse, they come out with this AWFUL new show "The Mighty B". I watched the first episode and it was the worst piece of crap I had ever seen in my life, to be frank. Unoriginal, unfunny, hideous looking animation, etc. etc.  It was absolute GARBAGE and I wish I didn't take the 30 minutes out of my life to watch it. Nick will just hire anyone to make a cartoon now. It's sad what has become of the network.

According to YouTube's own blog Viacom has backed down and will not be receiving anyone's information, IP address, or viewing history. THANK GOD!!!  :)

Strange, especially considering nobody is even running GAS...it kind of, just runs itself now by some computer.

Me too!  :) Because honestly I'd rather watch the 5 billionth rerun of Legends than the 5 billionth rerun of Degrassi. Kenan & Kel and All That are all that's worth watching on The N.

So any updates on what's going on with Nick GAS? Is it still on Dish Network?

The slime geyser and time capsule were moved to the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando, so they still live. You can actually see where the time capsule used to be, there is a metal square on the ground where it used to be.

I just wish someone would go to the hotel and take pictures of the geyser and time capsule. People have been saying that they're safe and sound at the hotel, but not one picture has surfaced on the internet. They must be in the back, because the picture of the hotel on Wikipedia doesn't show any slime geyser.

The TEENick hype AND the fairly oddparents hype if you ask me. SpongeBob is the only good show on Nick now. Ned's Declassified however was also a good show and an exception to the suckiness of TEENick, sadly it's now canceled and hardly even on Nick anymore. As for FOP, like someone said, it has THE most repetitive formula ever thought of, and I just don't know how that monotonous cycle continues to get ratings. It really should just end right here and right now. Nick will find a way to get along without it, they did during that year-long hiatus period, they can do so again for the rest of their existance.

I also liked Jimmy Neutron, but that started kinda sucking by the third season.
