Seriously, why does Lost Hornpipe deserve to be runner up? Besides the "musical thing that does a jig" answer on the steps, it was only memorable for the temple run. Catherine the Great deserved the runner up spot more. It was more memorable for the camerawork and for it being the last episode AND a win. I don't know, I guess Lost Hornpipe was so memorable after all. So what do I know? =/

Well, I prefer Pirate Captain over Jewel-Encrusted Egg because it was memorable from start to finish. Great legend, fun SoK, very competitive temple games, and of course the best temple team ever.
It was just a classic to me. Don't get me wrong Jewel-Encrusted Egg is another fantastic and memorable episode. However, it felt like the production in Jewel-Encrusted Egg was more "forced" while Pirate Captain felt more "natural". But I am cool with Jewel-Encrusted Egg getting runner-up. Especially if it is a Red Jaguars episode.
And more importantly, congrats to Annie Taylor for winning!
This was an amazing and exciting episode all the way through. It is the most talked about episode around here for good reason too! Missy's emotions totally made this episode special, as well as Kirk, Olmec's, and John's support and enthusiasm.

And of course, here are my thoughts:
#20: "The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta"
(good)
#19: "The Dragon Lady and the Blue Pearl"
(good)
#18: "The Lucky Medallion of Atocha"
(a little higher)
#17: "The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanuugpak"
(good)
#16: "Henry VIII's Great Seal"
(higher, maybe even Top 10. And this time I'm remembering/ranking right!)
#15: "Robin Hood & Marian's Ladder"
(good)
#14: "The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible"
(good)
#13: "The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus"
(higher)
#12: "The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen"
(much higher)
#11: "Galileo's Cannonball"
(higher, maybe even Top 5)
#10: The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
(higher)
#9: The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan
(a little lower)
#8: "The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid"
(a little lower)
#7: The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
(good)
#6: The Milk Bucket of Freydis
(good)
#5: John Sutter & the Map to the Lost Gold Mine
(good, maybe a little higher)
#4: Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress
(good, maybe a little lower)
#3: The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain
(good)
#2:The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great
(good)
#1: The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
(perfect!)
Regardless, I'm glad Lucky Pillow won. It's memorable in every single way. Whoo hoo!

(higher, and I agree with the top 5)
#10: The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
(good)

Looking back, I never should've gotten rid of Galileo when I did. It should've been Top 10, if not Top 5. Same with Secret Map, that should've ranked much higher too. And Cricket Cage should not have been Top 10. Maybe I should've gone "much lower" with that. But of course, it only ranks high because of the abomination that was their temple run.
Oh well, Lucky Pillow had won yet another elimination game. So that's all that matters in the end.

Honestly, I might've put Mussel-Shell Armor closer to the top 10 too. It was a very memorable episode in my book. I mean Gator alone makes this episode, as well as Amanda's enthusiasm. And I remember the really fast moat and silly legend. Oh yeah, Gator was the star of this episode.

I don't know about Apanuugpak. It was only memorable for the quick moat and temple run. And of course Gator.
It was a great episode, but not exactly Lucky Pillow or Catherine the Great levels of memorable. I think it's fine where it is.

Every single poll ends with Annie Taylor winning. How did it lose to Lost Hornpipe in the big tournament?! I feel like it's the only episode that would ever come close to being a unanimous all-time favorite.

Yeah, that's a mystery to me when Lucky Pillow couldn't even win that. Yet it's won almost every single elimination game here. Oh well, not everything goes according to plan I guess.

Annie Taylor is a strong episode that can win almost any game, award, or tournament. For the most part, it usually wins these topics.
But episodes like Pirate Captain, Lawrence of Arabia, Apanuugpak, and Lost Gold Mine are episodes that are strong enough to win them. But I am glad Annie Taylor won this one.

Yeah, I agree. The only time Lucky Pillow would not win an elimination game is if we're going by worst and/or most forgettable episodes. Or anything that has nothing to do with Season 2. So it does work out in the end.
