Henry Hudson is definitely an episode that people make out to be worse than what it really is. It was a decent episode with some strong moments. The biggest highlight of this episode is Derek and Sherra's domination. The artifact used for this episode is very interesting. It's the type of artifact that makes you want to listen to the legend to understand why there is an Upside-Down Compass. I do remember the the Green Monkeys getting leniency in their Steps of Knowledge answers too. Then again, most of the S3 answers were really lenient. Remember Lacey and Asher's tiebreaker question in Sforza? Sherra and Derek start showing their domination in this round by sweeping the Steps.

The Green Monkeys were no match for the Purple Parrots either. I never understood why players would step on the same sinking step in the "pole stepping" game. Hello, it was a memory game after all? At least Sherra got the hint though. Derek also had an impressive come back in his individual game and got all four fish before time was up. In the end, the Purple Parrots sweep the Green Monkeys and earn their first of two temple appearances of S3.

The temple run is definitely overlooked. It was a tough layout and the Purple Parrots weren't a bad team at all. To outer space's dismay, Sherra did NOT take a direct path. Just because a player is forced to take a certain route that happens to be a direct path doesn't mean they did it on purpose. She had no other choice, was she suppose to screw around in the Pit like Veronica? And the Chamber-Pit door didn't open until Sherra completed the Chamber objective. Derek took a couple of detour himself, but he also avoided the King's Storeroom completely. So it kind of evens out. At the end of the temple run though, he manages to drop the monkey torso over the middle. Really, Derek?   The producers must've learned from Kelly from "Montezuma" because the camera pans out of the temple when the torso drops. And as a result, we have a very poor edit. Overall, the temple layout was tough and the Purple Parrots were kind of slow. They still made it far though and it is no where near a disaster people make it out to be. And if you compare this episode with the other episodes that day (Kilimanjaro, Bent Shaving Pan, and Xerxes), this episode is pretty much successful compared to those three piles of crap.

Good review and choice of an episode. Forgettable episodes like "Henry Hudson" need to be reviewed because people often overlook them and don't realize how strong certain parts of an episode are. Judging from the remaining episodes needed to be covered, it looks like you are doing Mary Shelley and Annie Taylor next. Good choice on Annie Taylor, you can never go wrong with that one.  :mrblue:  I will probably post "Bandit Queen" tomorrow myself and will probably do "Golden Stallion" afterwards.  ;)

Yeah, compared to Xerxes, Bent Shaving Pan, and Mt. Kilimanjaro, Henry Hudson was like the Apanuugpak of its filming day. Not to mention, Sherra and Derek were the only team that day to win 2 pendants. Mt. Kilimanjaro even shares the exact temple game sequence as Henry Hudson did. Only Casey and Heather barely won their games, but Sherra and Derek dominated. I'll take Henry Hudson over the utterly boring Bent Shaving Pan, and the abysmal Mt. Kilimanjaro and Xerxes any day. While Henry Hudson is a forgettable episode, it's far from terrible that people make it out to be.

And yeah, I'm definitely gonna do Annie Taylor next. That has got to be the best episode ever, and I can't wait to see just how high it ranks. Bandit Queen is an awesome episode too. I'd love to see how that episode ranks too. :mrsilver: :mrblue:

Here is my review for "Bandit Queen". This was a great episode and was definitely worth watching again and reviewing.  :mrsilver: For some reason though, Photobucket is down right now so I can't add the pictures just yet.  :? I promise to add them though once it is back up. ;) I already have them saved, just need to upload them.  :mrsilver:

THE SECRET MAP OF THE BANDIT QUEEN

MOAT: 7.5/10

The moat crossing used for this day was probably the most unique moat crossing used in the entire show's history. In this moat, one player is standing on an ancient raft while the other player is standing in the moat behind the ancient raft. The player in the moat had to push the player on top of the raft to the other side. If the player on the raft touches their partner's hands or falls off, then they must start over again. The Orange Iguanas and Blue Barracudas made it across with no problem. The Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes struggled though, and both teams took some nasty dives into the water. The Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes both make it across eventually anyways.

LEGEND: 8/10

One of the roughest and toughest outlaws of the old west was a woman named Belle Starr, but was also known as the Bandit Queen. She was originally born in Missouri, but soon moved west and in 1880 she married a Cherokee name Sam Starr. Their cabin became an infamous hideout for outlaws, including the infamous Jesse James. Legend has it Jesse James buried his treasure near Belle's cabin. The only way to find the treasure was with a map. Jesse James did not know where to find his map though, and asked Belle Starr to help him and promised her half of the gold if she found it. Just then, a group of Desperadoes were heard galloping in the background and Jesse James lured them away to protect his gold. Eventually, Belle found the Secret Map and vowed to not take the gold until Jesse James returned. He never did, and she kept the Secret Map with her the whole time...

This was a pretty enjoyable legend. It sounds believable and any legend about the Old West was definitely worth listening to. The only part about the legend I thought was a little too silly was the voice acting for Jesse James. I don't know if they were trying to make him sound dumb intentionally, but it just didn't work for me.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 8/10

This was a good Steps of Knowledge round where all the questions were ripped from the legend. The Silver Snakes answers the first 3/5 correctly and the Red Jaguars eventually joined them for the temple games. One highlight of this Steps round was the Blue Barracudas answering "never mind" to one of the questions Olmec asked. Really? You are in an elimination round kid, try to at least make a guess.  :?

TEMPLE GAMES: 9/10

The temple games featured Jackie and Russel of the Red Jaguars and their opponents Zac and Miriam of the Silver Snakes. The temple games were very close and came down to a one-pendant tiebreaker. The temple games in general were pretty unique and featured some rarely used temple games on the show. Zac in general was a monster in the temple games and it was fun to watch his domination.

Temple Game #1 - Loot the Old Mine

Zac and Russel had to traverse through a mine shaft that was filled with loot and rubble. Each guy had a bag of jewels attached to a rope and both players had to make their way through the maze-like mine shaft. Along the way, they could knock rubble out of the way in order to clear their path. Once they make it to the outside of the shaft, then they had to pull their bags of jewels through. Zac was a monster in this temple game and he smoked Russel. Russel didn't even make it out of the mine shaft while Zac pulled his bag of jewels out. The Silver Snakes win and earn their first half-pendant.

Temple Game #2 - Bucking Bronco

Both Miriam and Jackie had to ride a wild bronco like the ones Jesse James and other outlaws rode on in the Wild West. Both girls had to stay on their horse and try to not fall off. If they did fall off, then their opponent would get a point. The girl with the most points at the end of 60 seconds would win. Miriam did an excellent job in holding onto her horse while Jackie looked pathetic and fell off 5 times. The Silver Snakes earned their second half-pendant which put them ahead a score of 1-0.

Temple Game #3 - Find Jesse James' Treasure Map

In this team game, both players were linked together by a single chain and had to complete a large maze. Both players had to move together in order to reach the hole at the bottom of the maze. The team that made it through the hole at the bottom of the maze would be the winner. In the end, the Red Jaguars won and earn the full pendant. With a final score of 1-1, the teams were forced into a tiebreaker.

In the tiebreaker, the question was "What did Jesse James offer Belle Starr if she found his Map?". The answer was "half his gold". Zac answered the question as "Half of his award...treasure...gold." Olmec counted it correct and the Silver Snakes were granted entry into Olmec's temple. Some people say that Zac got a lucky break here, but I disagree. His answer was pretty much spot on and he just didn't say "gold" the first time he gave it. Besides, there has been sketchier answers that were counted as correct. (Like the tiebreaker in "The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza" and the "Musical instrument that does a jig" in "The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain".

TEMPLE RUN: 7.5/10

Zac Turney is one of the most well-known male runners on the show. He owns the record for the fastest temple exit on the show. The win in general was probably one of the Silver Snakes best wins. Why doesn't this win get a higher score? His partner, Miriam, was a pretty slow and hesitant runner that brings this run down a lot. Miriam stalled too much in the temple when she got into the Dark Forest. According to Zac's interview, she was afraid of entering the Dark Forest and instead, decided to waste time running back and forth between that room and the Dark Forest. She eventually and thankfully gets taken out by a Temple Spirit. Zac didn't have much time to himself in the temple, but he races along the bottom floor of the temple, completes his objectives, and race out of the temple with the Secret Map with the fastest temple exit on the show. This run would've received a higher score if it wasn't for Miriam. If she had gotten taken out any later, they might've not even won. But still, this run was very solid in the Silver Snakes earned it. One of their best wins on the show for sure.

FINAL VERDICT: 8.0/10
"Bandit Queen" was a solid Silver Snake episode and quite possibly their best one on the show. Every round was entertaining and the highlight of this episode was Zac Turney. He dominated almost every round of this episode and his temple performance was definitely stunning. Admittedly, I do find the temple run a little bit overrated. But that is mostly due to Miriam's hesitations and stalling. Zac was definitely a solid and fantastic contestant and the Silver Snakes deserved their win. If you are interested more about Zac, there is an interview on the internet about his Legends experience. Some of the highlights include how his partner Miriam was afraid of entering the Dark Forest (which explains her stalling in that room), the Red Jaguars parents' being total jerks, and how his younger broth Levi appeared in "The Marble Armrest of Xerxes". I highly recommend reading both his interview and watching this episode. You definitely don't want to miss this one!  :mrsilver:

Bandit Queen is a great episode. All that needs to be said is that Zac was a beast, enough said. :mrsilver: Maybe you could try Photobucket now? I'm sure it's back up again, and you'll be able to upload your photos. Or use Imgur like I do. ;)

I finally got the images for Bandit Queen added to the review.  :mrsilver:  Although I might drop Photobucket anyways since memory usage is starting to be an issue on that site. I am also thinking of taking all these episode reviews when we are done and posting it to an actual site. Just like the King's Storeroom in a way and I will try and polish it up. ;)

For my next project, I am thinking of doing "Empress Eugenie".

Yay, the pictures are finally up! :mrsilver: And posting the episode reviews on an actual site is a wonderful idea. Just make sure you give me credit for the episode reviews I did. ;) And you have got to use Imgur, like TSM suggested. Which is what I suggested the first time you posted this review. :P

EDIT: By the way TRJ, I updated the OP for you, as well as highlighted Good Luck Watch for you. Since you were gonna do that one next. ;)

It's been a while since I have done one of these, so I decided to do "Empress Eugenie" next as promised. It was a good episode overall, even though the Green Monkeys should've won. It definitely would've made that last production day special if Jay and Janeen won.

THE GOOD-LUCK WATCH OF EMPRESS EUGENIE

MOAT: 6.5/10

The very last production day of the show used a moat crossing that was used earlier in Season 3. In this case, it was the vine and net crossing that was featured in "The Mystical Spellbook of the Imperial Wizard" and "The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglass". The directions for the moat crossing were simple - the first player had to swing across the moat with a vine and reach the net on the other side. They then had to climb over the net and reach the other side. Their partner had to move the same way in order to cross. While it was a creative moat, the teams all seemed to struggle in this one. The Purple Parrots and Green Monkeys were the last two teams to clock in for the next round respectively.

LEGEND: 8/10

Empress Eugenie was one of the most powerful French women at her time. She met Napoleon III in a garden when her watched stopped and she asked him for the time. Her and Napoleon got married and she became Empress of France. One day, Napoleon was about to make peace with the Prussians, but Eugenie refused to have peace with the enemy. She felt the French Army was strong enough to take care of them. When Napoleon got to the front of the line though, he was hopelessly outnumbered and the general asked to retreat. With half of the French army wiped out, Eugenie still refused to retreat and galloped into battle with her Watch around her vest. A bullet struck Eugenie, but in reality it actually hit her Watch. Eugenie eventually escapes and Napoleon surrenders to the Prussians.

This was one of the most memorable legends on the show IMO. The legend made Empress Eugenie out to be a warrior and not a pushover. Any legend about Napoleon always seems to turn out interesting. He has been featured in other legends too like "The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud" and "The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon". I have to also admit that the Good-Luck Watch was one of the best designed artifacts on the show. The details of the Watch look beautiful and the producers really did put a lot of thought into making it.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 8/10

All four teams were smart in this Steps round, and no bad or even wrong answers were given at all. There were no silly questions given out at all either. Jay of the Green Monkeys and Nate of the Purple Parrots answered most of the questions though. They both got soe questions right before the answer was revealed. It was a decent Steps round with good teams.

TEMPLE GAMES: 7/10

The temple games featured Courtney who loves to ice skate and her partner Nate who loved to play basketball and wants to be a lawyer when he gets older of the Purple Parrots. Their opponents were Janeen, who loved to dance and science, and her partner, Jay, who likes to play paintball and wants to be an architect when he gets older. The temple game sequence was pretty interesting, but it lacked competition though. You could tell that Janeen and Jay were the more dominant team as they dominated their individual games and won their team game handily. In the end, the Green Monkeys swept the temple games to go onto Olmec's temple.

Temple Game #1 - Galloping Horse

The first temple game had Janeen and Courtney on a galloping horse. Each player had to hold onto their horse and try not fall off. If they fell off though, then their opponent will earn a point. The player that falls of the least amount of time will win. In the end, Janeen proved to be much stronger and won with a score of 4-0.

Temple Game #2 - Ticking Watch

In this temple game, Nate and Jay were on a giant wheel with a picture of Olmec on it that was suppose to resemble a clock. They had to spin the wheel clockwise until they made a complete 180 degree turn on it. Once they made one full rotation on the clock, they woul earn one point. While rotating the clock though, the guys had to be careful to not fall off it. The player that makes the most rotations would be deemed the winner. Kirk had a lot of fun in this temple game with the "Clock" and "Watch" puns. Jay was the stronger player in this temple game, and won with a score of 11-7.

Temple Game #3 - Load the Cannon

The very last temple game had the teams loading the cannons with cannonballs in order to help the French Army out. Both players had their backs to each other and were tied together by a bungee cord. The first player had to run out and grab a cannonball and throw it over their head to their parter. Their partner then had to grab the cannonball and place it into their cannon/bin. While grabbing the balls and throwing them, the teams had to work together since they were tied together. If one player moved too early, they might mess their other partner up in completing their task. The player with the most cannonballs in their cannons would be the winners. The Green Monkeys were the more consistent team and won with a score of 7-5.

Apparently, Kirk didn't know how to count during this temple game either. He kept saying that the Green Monkeys were behind when they were ahead the whole time. Even on the last production day of the show, Kirk still can't get it together.
TEMPLE RUN: 7/10

You know when an artifact is located in the bottom of the central shaft that the team will have a hard time reaching it. For the Green Monkeys in this temple run, it wasn't any different for them. Jay and Janeen did reach the Good-Luck Watch, but when you watch the run and compare it to the other S3 Headless Kings runs, this team really should've won. Janeen is the main culprit on why this team didn't win though. She was way too slow and hesitant to be a frontrunner. It was almost as if she was afraid to complete every room objective. Her temple performance was even starting to piss Jay off too. Luckily, Janeen gets taken out in the Shrine with about 1:30 left on the clock as she cowers in fear from her temple guard.

Jay was an amazing second runner though and he really hauled ass once Janeen got taken out. He got unlucky in the Jester's Court though when the middle painting didn't work the first time he tried. A stage hand had to tell him to try the middle painting again, and Jay was able to grab the Good-Luck Watch with a few seconds left. That is all he could do before time was up. This team really should've won in the temple though. Their layout was pretty much in their favor. For example, the Quicksand Bog and Secret Password door were locked during this run. It was all thanks to Janeen on why they lost. Overall though, this temple run is pretty exciting and the ending was a nailbiter. It would've been a legendary temple run if the team actually won though.

FINAL VERDICT: 7.3/10
"Empress Eugenie" is one of those episodes that would've been better if the team actually won. Not to mention, if the Green Monkeys actually won, they would've ended the show with a rare bottom of the central shaft win and a 4/4 production day. But still, the whole episode was very good and the producers put an extra effort into it in order to make it memorable. Some of the highlights include the well-designed artifact and interesting legend. The temple loss is also pretty exciting and the Green Monkeys came close. Jay in particular was fun to watch and he knew that he had to put his butt into gear in order to win. Overall, this was a very memorable episode and I would recommend it to anyone like the other episodes from that day.

The moat was not used in "The Snow Cone of Mt. Kilimanjaro." It had the side scrolling net:

So you might want to fix that. Overall, great review. I really need to start writing these again. ;)

I knew there was a net game used in Snow Cone, but I forgot that it didn't have the vines.  Not to mention Imperial Wizard and Snow Cone weren't on the same days. I forgot Imperial Wizard was on the other crappy day with Smashed Printing Plate and Robert the Bruce.  I am going to fix that now. ;)

It's about time I start writing more episodes again, and this time, it's "The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor." :mrblue:

THE LUCKY PILLOW OF ANNIE TAYLOR

MOAT: 7/10
MOAT: 7/10 (TRJ)

For this moat, the players had to shimmy upside down on a poll. It was a decent round, albeit a tad long. The thing that drags it down for me though, is the Silver Snakes. They couldn't even get one person across the moat before all four teams had gonged in. The Silver Snake girl was beyond pathetic and continuously fell into the water the whole moat crossing.

(Credit goes to The Red Jaguars for his contribution to this section)

The six teams had to cross this moat by having each player shimmying across an "ancient fallen rod". When Kirk gives the signal, the first player had to shimmy across the rod while hanging upside-down. When they cross safely, then the second player had to cross the same way. Once both players reach the other side safely, then they can hit their gongs to move onto the next round. The first four players that make it the other side will safely will win. This moat was a pretty tough challenge for the teams as it relied on upper body strength to get across. This moat did take a little extra time to finish too. The Orange Iguanas and Blue Barracudas crossed with no problem, but the Red Jaguars and Purple Parrots struggled. Despite the lengthy moat, I enjoyed the unique challenge that it had to offer. And honestly, all of the moats during this day was long too. Just look at the Atocha and Emiliano Zapata moat!

LEGEND: 9/10
LEGEND: 10/10 (TRJ)

This legend was about Annie Taylor, and her journey across the Niagara Falls in a barrel. She strapped herself in the barrel and rested her head on a lucky heart shaped pillow for good luck. Sure enough, her journey all the way to the bottom of the falls had her come out unscathed. Annie Taylor cited her lucky pillow for her successful journey, and even received a plaque for it. However, her lucky pillow was soon forgotten, and eventually made its way to the temple. This in my opinion, was an excellent legend. The whole story itself was a very interesting listen. I mean, traveling down Niagara Falls in a barrel? That takes some guts. :o

(Credit goes to The Red Jaguars for his contribution to this section)

One of the greatest daredevils of all time was Annie Taylor. When she turned 50 she decided that she would be the first person to go over Niagara Falls inside a barrel. She had a carriage maker build her a barrel with a harness to hold her in place. The county coroner thought that Annie had gone mad when he heard of her plans and insisted that she should not do it. But Annie did not listen to him. With the crowd watching, Annie put herself inside the barrel, strapped herself in, and put a heart-shaped red satin pillow behind her head. Annie drifted in the water and went over the waterfall while her barrel remained intact and came out injury-free! When a reporter asked how Annie did it, she gave all her credit to her Lucky Pillow. The town put up a plaque in her honor, but the Lucky Pillow was soon forgotten about. The Lucky Pillow eventually made its way to Olmec's Temple.

I enjoyed this legend and it remains as one of my favorite legends on the show. Annie Taylor was an interesting historical figure to cover because you don't hear much about her. The legend did a great job staying true to the real Annie Taylor story and didn't have any silly characters or lines in it. Furthermore, the Lucky Pillow was a very beautiful artifact and much better than most that were featured on the show.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 8/10
STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 8/10 (TRJ)

This was a solid round. There was only one wrong answer given, but the rest of the questions were correct. John and Missy were both extremely intelligent during the steps and were down to the final step in a heartbeat. Stuart and Jamea of the Purple Parrots eventually joined them on the final step. Both teams were very enthusiastic and you can totally tell they were excited to be advancing to the temple games.

(Credit goes to The Red Jaguars for his contribution to this section)

For the most part, this round was pretty good. All of the questions asked by Olmec surrounded the legend for the most part. The Blue Barracudas got all of their questions correct and made it to the bottom first. The Purple Parrots soon joined them and Stuart even got one correct without Olmec revealing any answers. There was one wrong answer from the Orange Iguanas, but it was a tough question anyways and was not mentioned in the legend. I would've liked to see a little more competition too in this round. Overall, it was still an enjoyable round to watch.

TEMPLE GAMES: 8/10
TEMPLE GAMES: 9/10 (TRJ)

The temple games featured great competition and great comebacks throughout. In the first game, John and Jamea had to climb up Niagara Falls by climbing the walls and make hand and foot holes along the way. As soon as they got to the top, they had to grab the handle and ride the waterfall back down. John kind of struggled in this game, so that gave Jamea an advantage and helped her win the game for the Purple Parrots. In the second game, Missy and Stuart had to plug a leak that sprang in one of the five holes. Poor Missy just kept on getting squirted. But she did score at least once. Stuart scored five times, so he earned another half pendant for his team, making the temple game score 1-0 at that point. In the third game, the teams had to paddle on a boat, through the rapids, then grab a lifesaver and make it back to safety. This is where the Blue Barracudas came from behind and won the game, just barely edging out the Purple Parrots. With the final pendant score being 1-1, it was tiebreaker time. John correctly guessed that the "St. Lawrence River" is what emptied into the Great Lakes and earned a trip to the temple! All with a priceless boob grab too! :mrblue:

(Credit goes to The Red Jaguars for his contribution to this section)

The temple games featured John and Missy of the Blue Barracudas facing off against Jamea and Stuart of the Purple Parrots. In the first temple game, Jamea and John had to climb up the cliffs of Niagara Falls by pushing in the holes of the cliff to create a path up to the top. Once they reached the top, they had to ride the waterfall back down. The first player to ride the waterfall after 60 seconds will win. Both John and Jamea struggled in this temple game to find the right holes in the wall to climb to the top. John was having even more trouble finding the right foot holes to reach the top. Despite neither player reaching the hanger at the top, Jamea was ruled the winner because she was further along than her opponent. In the second temple game, Stuart and Missy had to place plugs inside the holes to prevent Annie's barrel from leaking. If they were correct, then they will not be squirted with water and rewarded a point. The entire game was a luck-based game and every hole the two players tried using was just a complete guess. In the end, Stuart got more correct guesses than Missy and earns the Purple Parrots another half-pendant. With a score of 1-0, the Parrots enter the final temple games while leading! In the team game, both players were inside a boat and had to use their oars to retrieve a lifeboat from the other side and bring it back to the dock. While inside the boat, neither player can put their feet on the ground or else they will have to start over. The first player that brings their lifeboat back to the dock after 60 seconds will win. This temple game came down to the wire, but the Blue Barracudas made an incredible comeback and edge out the Purple Parrots! Due to the final 1-1 score, the teams are forced into a tiebreaker!

After their amazing comeback in the team game, the Blue Barracudas and Purple Parrots ready themselves for the tiebreaker question. The tiebreaker question was "Does the Great Lakes empty into the - Mississippi River, St. Lawrence River, or Delaware River?" John of the Barracudas answers "St. Lawrence River". After a slightly delay from Olmec, he confirms the answer as being correct and Missy and John enter the rights to enter Olmec's temple! As John and Missy are celebrating, you can totally see John groping Missy's breasts. Overall, this was a very memorable and exciting temple games round. The comeback in the team game and the "tiebreaker touch" makes this a round that you can forget. Plus, Missy almost being in tears after winning the tiebreaker makes this round more enjoyable to watch.  :mrblue:

TEMPLE RUN: 10/10
TEMPLE RUN: 10/10 (TRJ)

If there was an award for "best temple run ever," it would go to this episode. Seriously, this run was just flawless. Missy was such a nervous wreck all day long, and it was such a joy to see her win. Besides trying the door to Medusa's Lair, (which is NOT a reason to hate her), she knew what to do in every room and didn't get turned around once. She also very smartly took the Forest/Shrine passage, and assembled the monkey with no problem. She eventually made it to Medusa's Lair and grabbed the Lucky Pillow with 42 seconds remaining! It was here the audience just went wild. Kirk even went wild, and John was cheering Missy on as she made her way back to the temple gates. She escaped with 21 seconds to spare, making her the first victor to successfully retrieve an artifact from the center of the room. Missy was a wonderful player. This was an amazing temple run and she totally deserved to win. :mrblue: Can you go wrong with this episode? I think not!

If there was ever an award for the "most magical temple win" on the show, it has to be Missy's win. Missy was a very nervous player before entering the temple. She was so nervous and excited that she was in tears before the run even started! The temple run itself was a solid effort by Missy too! After choosing to go first, Missy starts by entering the Ledges where she is temple guard free and enters the Pit of Despair with no problem. After the Pit, she tries climbing the wall in order to try Medusa's Lair where the Lucky Pillow was hidden, but has no luck with the door. The bottom door was the only one open, so she then heads to the bottom floor of the temple. In the Throne Room, Missy meets a temple guard that scares her before she gains entry to the Swamp. In the Dark Forest, Missy cleverly used the Shrine shortcut which grants her access to the top floor. In the Shrine, she has a little trouble assembling the Silver Monkey. She even drops it on the floor and you can see pieces of it falling off. After completing the Silver Monkey, time starts to wind down and the crowd is starting to go crazy! We finally hear Kirk's normal voice again too and Missy finally enters Medusa's Lair and grabs the Lucky Pillow. Now everyone is going wild including John and Kirk, and Missy escapes to the temple gates to score the very first center of the temple win!  :mrblue: At the end of the run, Missy was in tears and John and Kirk were ecstatic! John even gives Missy another celebratory boob grope.

Overall, this was one of the best temple runs on the show. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most criticized temple runs also. People like to over-analyze Missy's performance and try to criticize for every little mistake she made. Truth be told, not every temple run has to feature a player like Gator or Zac. Missy's performance was perfectly fine. Plus, the emotional factor and the enthusiasm from the crown and everyone else made this run extra special. Missy's emotions also added to the memorableness of this run. This run is truly an enjoyable and inspirational experience!  :mrblue:

FINAL VERDICT: 8.4/10
FINAL VERDICT: 8.8/10 (TRJ)

This is by far the best episode and best temple run in the show's history. While this doesn't overthrow Apanuugpak as the highest rated episode ever, it's still pretty high up there. Every round was solid throughout and the temple run was near flawless. This is why I don't understand the hate that Missy gets. Just because she wasn't Gator fast, and just because their layout wasn't hard, doesn't make her a terrible player. You can't say she didn't deserve to win just because she wasn't fast and "took a direct path." She didn't luck into this, this wasn't rigged just to make her look good. No, she earned it and she deserved to win. It makes no sense to call Missy a "bad and undeserved" contestant just because she wasn't fast, yet Paula lucks into her layout and had no objectives, but she gets nothing but praise. In what way is Paula a better player than Missy? Just because "she was so fast" and "her partner was fast crossing the moat" boom, it's suddenly a better win than Lucky Pillow. And we're hypocritical? I don't understand how anyone can hate this win. You must not have seen a bunch of wins to call this boring and predictable just because she's not fast. Even if she had this path in a Season 3 temple, she still would've won with 21 seconds left and it would STILL be as impressive as it ever was. This episode was phenomenal the whole way out, and I definitely recommend watching this episode. :D

"Lucky Pillow" is one of the best episodes on the show and is very legendary among the Legends fanbase. Ever since I first watched it, it has remained my all time favorite episode. It is an episode that I can never get tired of watching. The final score shows that this episode was very strong. Every round was high quality and there was never a single dull moment. The highlights of this episode include the very interesting legend and beautiful artifact. The temple games were intense with the Blue Barracudas making an amazing comeback in the team game and then turning around and winning the tiebreaker too! The temple run was also a classic and Missy's win was legendary! Despite all the criticism this episode gets, it remains as a Legends fanbase favorite among many fans. Missy's enthusiasm and emotions make this episode truly special! If you haven't watched this episode already, you are missing out on an unforgettable experience! I would easily recommend this episode to anyone and to watch it many times there after too!  :mrblue:

Annie Taylor is an awesome episode and you can never go wrong reviewing that one. In fact, this is my all time favorite episode ever. :mrblue: All of the rounds were good and memorable, and John and Missy made this episode very memorable. The legend is very memorable and the artifact looked very neat and creative. The temple games were memorable also for the comeback that John and Missy made in the final temple game. John and Missy were behind in that game, but they put their butts into gear and won the game to score the memorable one pendant tiebreaker. Then, they turn around and win the tiebreaker and go onto the temple. Normally, I am not a fan of teams that win their last game only and go to the temple. But John and Missy's comeback was incredible, as was their enthusiasm. And at the tiebreaker, we get the boob touch.  Don't worry, Missy's boobs will get violated one more time later on. :P

The temple win is amazing and is also a classic. I think a perfect 10 for the temple run is fitting. Missy was an awesome contestant and she made this temple win very memorable. I always hate when people bash her for petty things like "taking the direct path" or getting lucky with her layout. Not every contestant has to move as fast as Gator to be considered good. Some contestants like Tarrah, Tiffani, and Missy were good despite not being the fastest on the show. Missy moved just fine and she actually used a shortcut too, which probably helped her avoid a temple guard. She completed her rooms just fine also and brought the Lucky Pillow back to the temple gates and scored the first ever center of the temple win. The ending was probably the best ending on Legends. Missy was crying, John was molesting Missy, and Kirk was happy also.  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:

Seriously, I don't see how someone can't love this win. The whole episode is memorable and enjoyable to watch. Missy and John made this one a memorable experience. There might one or two more episodes that might rank higher than "Annie Taylor", but this one is definitely a top 5 overall on the show. Great review and I am sure you enjoyed watching the episode as I would've also.  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:  :mrblue:

I didn't even need to watch this episode to review it. I've seen it so many times, I did it all from memory. Just like I did for episodes like Sir Gawain and Discarded Seal. But yeah, this episode was just amazing. You'd be crazy not to like it. So what if Missy wasn't fast? It doesn't make her a bad player or make the win undeserved. I usually don't like it when a team comes from behind and only wins the team game. But this episode (and Metal Beard) are the only exceptions I make to that rule. Otherwise, I like it better when a team dominates everything. As for the final score, the only episodes I can see ranking higher than Annie Taylor are Lost Hornpipe and John Sutter. I take it those were the ones you were referring too. :mrblue:

Definitely Pirate Captain and Map to the Lost Gold Mine have the potential to rank above "Annie Taylor". And maybe Lawrence of Arabia and Catherine the Great too. I could definitely rate Annie Taylor without rewatching that episode. Same with Catherine the Great, Map to the Lost Gold Mine, Lawrence of Arabia, and Emiliano Zapata. As for my next project, I think I will do "Catherine the Great" because I am curious about how high the score will rank for that one now. I don't think it will pass Annie Taylor, but it will come close though. After that I might do "Amelia Earhart" because I am also curious about how bad that episode will rank.  :o
