I gave this room a 7. It wasn't my favorite room, but I definitely preferred this Pit Room over say.... the Wall Climb. I liked the objective this room had, where a player actually had to complete the room without pressing any buttons. The downside to this room is, sometimes the players took too long getting out of that room *coughVeronicacough* and it really held up a lot of players. Especially those that couldn't get back on the podium/top ledge in the room. Overall, it was a good room, and one of the better Pit rooms. ;)

I gave this room a 6.

I like the objective, but it was entirely too time consuming when players had to go anywhere other than the Tomb afterwards.

I gave the Pit of the Pendulum an 8. I loved the concept of this room, and even though some people did struggle with it, it was way better than all the Pits before it (maybe other than the Rock Quarry). I also liked it better than the Wheel Room Pit. BTW? What WAS the Wheel Room/Pit of Despair called? Olmec referred to it as the Pit of Despair, but Kirk Fogg referred to it as the Wheel Room. We may never know.

I just say Wheel Room. It's easier that way.

I say Pit of Despair due to Olmec mainly :P. Also due to Kirk's horrendous Fogg-Ups of rooms.

I pretty much go with whatever they have Olmec announce it as because that's going to be the official name.

Also, I am going to be very interested to see how the final results of this compare with the results of the temple room hurt/heal game.

Yeah, maybe I'll do a comparison of both this thread and the old thread. It'll be interesting to see how much our opinions have changed in over a year. ;)

I gave the Pit of the Pendulum a 7. It was one of the best forms of the Pit on the show. I liked how the players had to knock down the column to move on, and there were different ways to do this like using the rope or pushing it with their hands. Plus, it was kind of nice to see the players actually see what paths were open to them without having to pushing actuators to find the next open door. However, I still liked it better when the players could just go up to the door they want and press the actuator to choose their route like in the old Pits. Also, I felt like there was too much going on in this Pit too. It felt like a lot of players wasted time in here because of the foamy blocks or how hard it was to climb the wall. I am not just talking about Bifocal Monocle or Marble Armrest, but quite a few contestants wasted time here. Overall though, this Pit was very unique. I do like the Rope Swing one better used in S2L4-L5 though.  ;)

Yeah, I also liked the S2L4/L5 Pit the best. Just the rope, rock slabs, and green Pit balls looked great. But yeah, the Pit of the Pendulum was a good Pit room too. And like you said, I liked how the contestants had to actually complete the objective to move on. It wasn't just a "hit the actuator" room like you'd usually see. ;)

I gave this room a 4. I think giving the Pit Room Space an objective wasn't a good thing to do, especially in Season 3. I liked it better when contestants could choose which door they wanted to try to open. Also, if a contestant fell off the pendulum but had to climb up to an upper door, the wall was difficult to climb because of the ledge.

I agree. I don't know how much that was affected by the lack of dead ends in S3 layouts. But yeah, this Pit could be very time consuming and frustrating.

I actually liked it better when the contestants were required to complete an objective so a door would open. It made the room more challenging.

I gave this room a 5. I'm indifferent to this room, but I really didn't like it. It was just "there" and never really stood out to me. Plus, the objective was only done twice. I just feel like a room like this was so out of place for a temple. The Room of the Secret Password was better.
