Yeah, who on earth gave them a 5? I mean, this was said somewhere before on this forum, but they weren't a bad team, it was a bad outcome. And I really don't blame Hallie for entering the Tomb at the last second. It wasn't that she was taking a direct path, (like some people like to claim), she just didn't want to waste time climbing the Pit walls ala Veronica. Furthermore, if you're under a three minute time limit and have a hard time getting back on the platform, do you take the easier way and enter the Tomb, or waste time climbing?

I was one of those "people on earth" to give Useless Map a 5. They were unlucky to encounter all three guards with only one pendant, but that situation was avoidable and would have been avoided if Hallie had stuck with her initial decision to climb up the wall in the Pit and go directly into the King's Storeroom. They probably would have gotten deep into the temple if time had completely expired, but they seemed pretty average given how they performed during their short time in the temple.

And I'm back! Nice to see a lot of votes for this temple run too. With 8 votes, Useless Map finishes with a 6.50.

And the final triple capture we need to cover is "The Pendant of Kamehameha".  :mrsilver:

I gave Kamehameha a 10. This is a very exciting and memorable temple run that featured two really good players. The outcome of it is also very heartbreaking too. Robbie and Tina were kind of responsible for the triple capture and taking a really long path, but you can't hold that against them. First off, the temple guard layout was pretty unfair for a One Pendant team. Most One Pendant runs had the last guard in one of the entrance rooms. But here, all three guards were past the Wall Climb. Plus, the paths they were forced on was really long too. Both players moved fast and they made it "one room away" with about a minute left after entering all of their rooms. That is impressive.

The ending is very memorable too. While the Dungeon capture was fair, it still felt kind of "cheap". Not that it was his fault or Tina's, but the ending is such a heartbreaker. The audience felt the same too and you can see it in both Silver Snakes players face. Overall, this is a very exciting and memorable run with great players. It was too bad it ended this way, but I think they deserve a 10 overall considering the factors above.

At first, I was going to give them a 9. Then I realized that this run should stand above the rest because I think it's the best triple capture on the show. Sure, it was kind of the team's fault for being caught, but that doesn't take away from their overall performance. This was one of the strongest season 1 teams and they almost entered every room with about 50 seconds left. That is impressive.

Because of that, I gave them a 10! :mrsilver:

I gave them a 9. Robbie and Tina were a solid team, despite their outcome. I would give them a "10," but I figure a "9" would be a little more fitting. Definitely one of the, if not the strongest triple capture on the show. Also, it's funny how both 1 pendant triple captures were the last two to be featured in this thread. Just thought I'd point that out.

Alright, I'll give this one a 10 as well. Robbie and Tina really deserve it.

I hate to be that one guy, but I gave them an 8.  On speed alone, they would definitely be a 10, but I can't overlook the fact that the triple capture was entirely their own fault.  They took literally the worst path possible given the fact that they only had one pendant (if they had both pendants, it would've been fine).  Someone said that the Temple Guard placement was unfair for a one-pendant run, but I disagree.  They could've at least dodged the Throne Room guard on the thought that the run wasn't going to be THAT easy.  Plus, even if they did put one guard in an entrance room, that wouldn't have mattered because they went through both entrance rooms.

The fact that they lost by triple capture was 100% their own fault, so I can't give them more than an 8.

I wholeheartedly agree with THK, but I gave Robbie and Tina a 9. I am torn by the Kamehameha team. They brought the triple capture upon themselves by entering nearly every room of the temple, but at the same time cleared those rooms at an impressive rate.

On a slightly unrelated note, the major culprit of this run was when Tina decided to not follow Robbie into the Cave of Sighs. If she had been caught by the last guard in the Room of the Three Gargoyles, we would have the same impression of her as we do of Ryann. In that case, I believe this run would completely lose its "magic."

I have some sympathy for these two to a certain extent also. Season 1 teams didn't really know better about the direct path being a negative factor in their temple run. But PP4L is right, the team pretty much set themselves up for the triple capture by Tina entering the Gargoyle Room. That meant that the team would've met all 3 of their guards. I like this run a lot though, and I gave it a perfect score because of the combination of the team performance, excitement factor, and how memorable the ending was. Just like Hallie and Jared, if only these two won their team game.  :(

FINAL RANKINGS

1. "The Pendant of Kamehameha" - 9.25
2. "Henry VIII's Great Seal" - 8.75
3. "The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King" - 7.80
4. "The Missing Eye of David" - 7.75
5. "The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain" - 6.50
6. "The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb" - 6.40
7. "The Lost Love Letter of Captain John Smith"- 5.20
8. "The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce" - 4.67
9. "The Lost Logbooks of Magellan" - 4.20
10 "Elizabeth I's Golden Ship" - 3.80
11. "The Walking Stick of Harriet Tubman" - 3.33
12. "The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman" - 2.75
13. "The Crown of Queen Nzinga" - 2.20
14. "The Secret Battle Plan of Nathan Hale" - 1.71

So yeah, I pretty much agree with these rankings. The top 5 triple captures are the ones that I can only tolerate. I like how the bottom 4 triple captures are from S2 also. That season easily had the worst triple captures on the show. The only one that I like from S2 is the "Missing Eye" one. Other than that, I am glad that Kamehameha and Great Seal all ranked high. And I agree with these ratings too.
