I STILL don't get the love for Ahmed Baba. I STILL don't get it. Shane was average, boring, and just plain overrated. He deserves the criticism he gets. He deserves to be criticized for all eternity and I'll never, ever like him. The more overpraised he gets, the more and more I hate him. Shane is by far the most overrated contestant in the history of the show. I hate Shane, he is extremely overrated and nothing special at all. He was slow, hesitant, and downright clueless at times.

 I guess I'm literally the only person on the whole, entire forum that doesn't like Shane. I guess I really am alone on all my opinions.

Shane doesn't deserve any love. He deserves all the criticism he gets. All this overrating makes  me hate him even more.

Honestly, none of the male Green Monkeys really stand out from S2. The best GM from that season was Olivia Emma.

Yeah, Olivia Emma is the star of all the Green Monkeys from Season 2. But none of the guys stand out that much at all. Especially not Mr. Overrated Shane. I still just don't get it. Even the very first time I saw the temple run, I was just not impressed at all. I think I might even hate Tall Turban more than I do of other maligned wins on the show. Like I said, the more people praise Shane, the more I hate him. He deserves all the criticism he gets. But I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like Shane. But, that's already been discussed.

Plus look at the poll. It was almost a THREE way tie. This one is FAR from decisive. In fact if you or I switched our vote it would force a tie.

Plus, a lot of voters here are getting their wish anyways. Shane is gonna win the whole thing. But I'm still keeping my vote because not only do I like Justin A LOT better, but I doubt anyone wants to go through the hassle of breaking a tie. To me, scaling the whole central shaft and STILL having 1:47 left on the clock at the time of capture, is much more impressive than a contestant who lucks into his layout, yet other players enter 9 rooms, (Chandra, James from Ponce de Leon), and get taken out one room away.

Not a lot, three. Out of seven voters. So to put it another way not even a majority of voters feel that Shane is better.

I don't think Shane is overrated. If he was overrated, the poll wouldn't be as close as it is. No one said that he was amazing or anything like that. If Chandra or James hadn't gotten taken out one room away and scored a solo victory would you hate them? They made the same mistakes that Shane did and ended up making things worse for their team, but they aren't ridiculed, so why hate Shane just because he got lucky with his layout and because people thought he was decent?

Seriously PPF, get off Shane's ass. He didn't do anything to you, so why such hostility towards him? In fact, you've complained about him so much that he is now one of my favorite players ever. I already liked him to begin with, but you've given me more of a reason to like him. Go Shane!

Really though, shut the fuck up. Your countless complaints about Shane has gotten really old. You know how much I'm not a fan of Galileo's Cannonball, but I rarely complain about it. The only time I did was in that match GM1 posted not too long ago and that was it. I've gotten over it and I really don't mind that episode, so why do you keep bashing Shane? I've honestly had enough of this shit. Get over it and move on.

Moving on, Shane from Ahmed Baba wins the best Green Monkeys male player award.

I definitely agree that the hostility toward Shane was a little over the top. But I also felt like your reaction to that was over the top as well. Definitely not trying to call anyone out here. I love this forum and I know I'm also the new guy and it's not really my place, but I just want us all to be able to get along and to be able to express our opinions in a respectful and non-hostile manner.

Most of these boys made some kind of mistake in the temple, but I voted for Brett from Dr. Livingstone as the best male player. He was the only player that actually got the job done in his run. Even if he moved at a slow pace and entered every room unnecessarily, he still won it all. That is more than what these guys can say. So my vote is going to Brett.

I really really really really wanted to vote for John.

But he didn't even have to enter the Temple. And even though he had a couple decisive moments for his team, he wasn't quite as important to his team as Brett was to his. So had to give the nod to Brett.
