The Treasure Room / Re: Revival EP: Paris's Poisoned Arrow
« Last post by Legends Explorer Alec on Yesterday at 04:55:30 PM »
Kirk: Welcome back to Legends, now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, I wanna talk to our team players. On the Red Jaguars we have:

Nicole: Nicole Parizeau.

Kirk: How old are you Nicole?

Nicole: 13.

Kirk: It says here that you have family in France. Now tell me about that.

Nicole: Well I'm French and I go to France at least once a year.

Kirk: When do you go to France?

Nicole: Usually on holidays. I remember the bombing in Paris a few years back.

Kirk: Where were you at the time?

Nicole: Here in the U.S..

Kirk: That's good. Now who are you?

Felix: Felix Keith. I'm 12 years old.

Kirk: It says here that you ride your bike a lot.

Felix: Yeah, last year I tried doing a 360 and I fell off and broke my arm.

Kirk: Tough luck. Kids don't try that at home. Let's hear it for the Red Jaguars!

And on the Blue Barracudas we have:

Amanda: Amanda.

Kirk: How old are you Amanda?

Amanda: 11.

Kirk: It says here that you do gymnastics.

Amanda: Well I've been doing it since I was young and I'm very flexible. I can balance and even do splits. Watch.

(Amanda shows her split)

Kirk: Nice. I don't think I can do that. Let me help you back up.

(Kirk helps Amanda back up)

Now let's talk to your partner. Who are you?

Blake: Blake.

Kirk: How old are you?

Blake: 13.

Kirk: It says here that you play the guitar.

Blake: Yeah, I think I'd become a good guitarist. I basically taught myself how to play it.

Kirk: Who says you need lessons to be a good guitarist? Those are the Blue Barracudas; let's hear it for 'em!

Episode 18: Philotheus of Pskov and the White Cowl

(Camera moves through a thick jungle taking two wrong turns and finally revealing King Olmec)

Olmec: Legends of the Hidden Temple!

(Title card forms)

Olmec: With your guide, Kirk Fogg!

(Title card shatters)

Olmec: And here he is now!

(Kirk swings on a rope into the new Legends set)

Kirk: Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Thank you Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we gonna hear about today?

Olmec: The legend of Philotheus of Pskov and the White Cowl.

Kirk: Oh, Philotheus of Pskov and the White Cowl. Well, the legend is set and one of these six teams will have a chance to retrieve the White Cowl. Will it be:

(Camera shows each team cheering)

The Red Jaguars?

The Blue Barracudas?

The Green Monkeys?

The Orange Iguanas?

The Purple Parrots?

Or the Silver Snakes?

They'll have to pass some pretty tough physical and mental tests, and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's temple. But first, the must cross the moat, and Olmec will tell them how they'll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before you is an ancient rope net that hangs above the moat. When Kirk gives the signal, make your way across using the net above you. If you fall into the water, go back and start again. Once the first player is safely across, their partner will cross the same way. When both players have crossed the moat, run over and hit the gong.  (Kirk hits the Silver Snakes' gong) The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.

Kirk: OK teams, are you ready?

Teams: YEAH!

Kirk: Are you ready Olmec?

Olmec: Of course I am!

Kirk: On your mark, get set, GO!

Purple Parrots - 0:16
Silver Snakes - 0:25
Red Jaguars - 0:33
Orange Iguanas - 0:42

We've got our four teams right here! They are: The Red Jaguars, the Orange Iguanas, the Purple Parrots, and the Silver Snakes!

The Treasure Room / Re: Revival EP: Nora of Kelmendi's Family Dagger
« Last post by Legends Explorer Alec on October 18, 2017, 06:51:20 AM »
Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about Nora of Kelmendi's family dagger. Pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you one step closer to Olmec's temple.

Olmec: One of the most noble warriors of the 17th Century was Nora of Kelmendi. Also known as Helen of Albania, her beauty and fame spread from Maltsia to Shkodra. There, at Rozafati Castle, the Pasha got word of her too.

Pasha: I must see this maiden with my own eyes! Bring her here at once!

Olmec: When Nora came down to the city with her parents, the Pasha immediately fell in love with her, and tried to marry her by the laws of the Albanian Canon.

Nora's Father: Sir, only an Albanian can marry our daughter under those laws, and even if you were, we wouldn't let someone like YOU be our son-in-law!

Pasha: Wanna bet?! "Either Nora will become my wife or I will I'll burn all of Malsia to ashes!"

Olmec: A few days later, while the Pasha was readying his army for war, Nora came to his tent.

Nora: Please, there is no need for this onslaught! I shall be your wife!

Olmec: Overjoyed, the Pasha cancelled the invasion. However, that night, Nora took out her father's dagger-one with special powers that no one who had carried it died from wounds inflicted by foes. With it, she stabbed the Pasha in his sleep and fled. Years later, the dagger was brought to the Temple. Your quest is to find the dagger, and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you Olmec, now tell us, where is this family dagger?

Olmec: Nora of Kelmendi's family dagger can be found in the Feeding Chamber.

Kirk: Teams, you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you'll move down to the next level. But if you're wrong or ran out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your first question.

The Treasure Room / Re: Revival EP: Harry Houdini's Milk Can
« Last post by Legends Explorer Alec on October 15, 2017, 09:57:27 AM »
Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about Harry Houdini's milk can. Pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you one step closer to Olmec's temple.

Olmec: One of the most famous magicians in history was the Hungarian-born American, Harry Houdini. In 1908, he introduced to the public an escape act that he made up himself.

Houdini: This, ladies and gentlemen, is what I call the "Milk Can" escape. Here you see is an over-sized milk can filled with water. In a minute, I will be handcuffed, then place myself in the milk can, which will be locked from the outside. When all the locks have been secured, there will be a curtain in front, and I shall have exactly 90 seconds to escape before I drown.

Olmec: The preparations were set. 90 seconds later, Houdini emerged from the curtain, freed from the can and the handcuffs. The audience was dumbfounded.

Audience member #1: It's amazing!

Audience member #2: How did he do that?

Olmec: Houdini kept this part of his act until 1912. When others had started to copy off this routine, Harry had to replaced the milk can with something new. Years later, the milk can arrived at the Temple. Your quest is to find the milk can, and bring it back here.

Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about Paris's poisoned arrow. Pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you one step closer to Olmec's temple.

Olmec: One of the greatest warriors of Greek mythology was Achilles. Legend has it that as a child, his nymph mother Thetis dipped him in the River Styx. His father was Peleus, the king of the Myrmidons.

Peleus: Darling, what are you doing with our son?

Thetis: Just soaking him the river, dear.

Peleus: I can see that, but why? We have a tub the size of a lake back home, you know.

Thetis: Didn't you hear the prophecy? Our son would one day die in battle from an arrow to the foot! The River Styx is an enchanted waters that grants everlasting invincibility! I'm simply saving Achilles from a horrible fate, that's all.

Olmec: But Thetis held Achilles by the heel, which was not washed over by the water of the magical river. Achilles grew up to be a man of war who survived many great battles, until he went to Troy. On that faithful day when he and his Greek soldiers invaded Troy by hiding in a giant wooden horse that was taken into the city, Paris, the Prince of Troy shot a poisoned arrow that lodged right into Achilles' heel, killing him instantly. Achilles was cremated, and his ashes buried in an urn, but the poisoned arrow that killed him was sent to the Temple years later. Your quest is to find the arrow, and bring it back here.

The Treasure Room / Re: Revival EP: Calamity Jane's Extracted Bullet
« Last post by Legends Explorer Alec on October 14, 2017, 04:00:23 PM »
Kirk: Welcome back! The Orange Iguanas have earned the right to enter Olmec's temple. But before they get started, Olmec's gonna give them some information to help them retrieve Calamity Jane's extracted bullet.

Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeleton and pass into the Pit of Despair. Here, you must choose your next path. You could race up to the King's Storeroom, smash the clay pots and find the key that could take you down into Medusa's Lair. Place the snakes in Medusa's head and pass into the Room of the Ancient Warriors. Place yourself in the correct armor and open the door to the SHRIIIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Clockwork Room. Turn the gears to lift the weight, and you can climb down into the Dungeon where you could smash to the Dark Forest. But beware of the Temple Guards that may inhabit the trees. Find the key in the tree, and you'll enter the Bamboo Forest. If you escape, you could gain entry to the Throne Room. Sit upon the Throne of the Pretender, then race through the pit, CLIMB through the Ledges, race down the stairs and back through the temple gate. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won 1½ pendants in the temple games. Who's going first?

Stella: I am!

Olmec: Very well, Stella. When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the temple and make your way towards the bullet. Hidden inside the temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on. BUT if you're caught without a pendant, you will be taken out of the temple, and it'll be Pedro's turn to enter and try his luck. Hidden somewhere in the temple is the other half of your pendant. If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life. If you can reach the bullet, all of the doors of the temple will instantly unlock and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the gates with the bullet in three minutes and you will both be handsomely rewarded and here's how:

Dee Bradley Baker:

First, you're both going to get…Sharper Image SBT5002 Water and Light Show Bluetooth Streaming 2.1 Speakers with Subwoofer and Dancing Lights! Create a dazzling display of lights and music with the Lightshow Water Bluetooth Speakers from Sharper Image with built-in AC power to plug to any outlet. From the Sharper Image.

If you can grab the bullet before three minutes is up, you'll also receive…the Midwest Tropical AquaTable Aquarium! Can be seen from every angle. The clear acrylic tank displays a world of wonder to family and friends! Illuminated from beneath. From Midwest Tropical.

And if you get the bullet out of the temple before three minutes is up, then you'll both be going to the White Mountains! You'll stay at the Mountain Club on Loon Mountain in Lincoln New Hampshire. New England's most accessible big-mountain skiing and riding features a 2,100-foot vertical drop and 61 trails across three peaks. Features exceptional terrain variety for the entire family, including a full progression of award-winning terrain parks.

Kirk: Let's try to get these two to the White Mountains, so let's get started here. Olmec, lower your gate!

(Olmec moans gutturally while the gate lowers)

Kirk: Get in position. Mouthpieces in. Put three minutes on the clock!

(Timer bangs down)

Kirk: On your mark, get set, GO!

(Temple run music starts and HUD moves in on screen)

Stella heads up into the Crypt and tries the middle skeleton which doesn't work. As she was about to try the left, she was caught by a temple guard (2:53)! She gives up her pendant and the camera-left skeleton opens up the Pit of Despair. She jumps down into the pit and opens up the Throne Room (2:37). She enters and sits on the throne, tries to go up into Medusa's Lair and sees that the upward door is locked. She then sees that the door to the Bamboo Forest is open, and makes her way across into the Dark Forest. She opens the door, runs over to the stone wall, busts through and is caught by another temple guard (2:07)! Pedro follows Stella's path up into the Crypt, jumps down into the Pit of Despair, and all the way to the Dungeon. He climbs up into the Clockwork Room, finds the other half pendant on the wind-up key and turns the key once, opening up the Shrine of the Silver Monkey (1:21). He enters the room and encounters a temple guard (1:17)! He gives up both halves of his pendant and starts assembling the silver monkey. Once the silver monkey was fully assembled (1:00), he headed into the Room of the Ancient Warriors.  He tries the middle armor which doesn't work, and then the camera-left which opens up Medusa's Lair (0:49). He jumps across the Pit of Despair without falling, rushes up into the Crypt and out (0:26)!
