Hidden Temple Park / Re: LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE REVIVAL MOVIE
« Last post by TempleFan322 on Yesterday at 07:39:00 AM »
Not sure where to put this one, but since it involves a Legends revival, I'll put it here.

My coworker texted me the other night about how Universal Studios in Orlando was apparently in talks with Nickelodeon about a fantasy camp. By that I mean either a camp or a giant attraction for old school Nickelodeon stuff, where you could participate in GUTS, Double Dare, even Legends. Like that Splat tour they did and showed clips of during commercial breaks during The Splat's programming block. Good Lord I hope it's true.

Episode 4: The Papier-Mâché Figure of Akabeko

(Camera moves through a thick jungle taking two wrong turns and finally revealing King Olmec)

Olmec: Legends of the Hidden Temple!

(Title card forms)

Olmec: With your guide, Kirk Fogg!

(Title card shatters)

Olmec: And here he is now!

(Kirk swings on a rope into the new Legends set)

Kirk: Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Thank you Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we gonna hear about today?

Olmec: The legend of the papier-mâché figure of Akabeko.

Kirk: Oh, the papier-mâché figure of Akabeko. Well, the legend is set and one of these six teams will have a chance to retrieve the papier-mâché figure. Will it be:

(Camera shows each team cheering)

The Red Jaguars?

The Blue Barracudas?

The Green Monkeys?

The Orange Iguanas?

The Purple Parrots?

Or the Silver Snakes?

They'll have to pass some pretty tough physical and mental tests, and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's temple. But first, the must cross the moat, and Olmec will tell them how they'll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before each of you is a wooden raft with an oar. When Kirk gives the signal, stand on the raft and paddle yourself to the other side. Then it will be your partner's turn to do the same. If you fall off, go back and start again. When both players have crossed the moat, run over and hit the gong. (Kirk hits the Silver Snakes' gong) The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.

Kirk: OK teams, are you ready?

Teams: YEAH!

Kirk: Are you ready Olmec?

Olmec: I was born ready!

Kirk: (laughs) On your mark, get set, GO!

The Treasure Room / Re: Revival EP: Polyphemus's Blinded Eye
« Last post by Legends Explorer Alec on June 23, 2017, 09:49:21 AM »
Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about Polyphemus's blinded eye. Pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you one step closer to Olmec's temple.

Olmec: The most well-known Cyclops in Ancient Greece was Polyphemus. He was the son of Poseidon, god of the sea, and Thoosa, a sea nymph. He lived on the island of the Cyclopes, and one day, after coming back from herding his flock of sheep, he found uninvited guests in his cave. These men were none other than Odysseus and his crew.

Polyphemus: Hey, what are you little guys doin' in my hangout? Well, since yer all here, why not stick around fer dinner?!

Olmec: Polyphemus blocked the entrance to the cave with a round slab, then devoured one of Odysseus' men right on the spot! The next morning, while the great Cyclops was away, the crew was in a state of panic.

Odysseus: Stand your sanity, my warriors. I believe I can get us out of this predicament with this un-watered wine. It was given to me by my friend Maron, and I shall give this to the beast when he returns.

Olmec: That night, he gave the wine to the beast as he was gnawing on another crew member, causing him to get terribly drunk. When assured he was asleep, Odysseus and his men then took a huge olive club with a sharpened tip, and rammed it into the Cyclops' eye!

Polyphemus: OOOWOOOOWW!! MY EYE!! WHERE'D EVERYBODY GO?!

Olmec: Odysseus sailed away with the remainder of his crew, escaping the island for good. Years later, the eye of the poor plucked giant found its way to the Temple. Your quest is to find the eye, and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you Olmec, now tell us, where is the blinded eye?

Olmec: Polyphemus's blinded eye can be found in the Room of the Secret Password.

Kirk: Teams, you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you'll move down to the next level. But if you're wrong or ran out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your first question.

Kirk: Welcome back! The Red Jaguars have earned the right to enter Olmec's temple. But before they get started, Olmec's gonna give them some information to help them retrieve the hypnotic flute of the Pied Piper.

Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeleton and pass into the Pit of Despair. Here, you must choose your next path. You could race up to the King's Storeroom, smash the clay pots and find the key that could take you down into Medusa's Lair. Place the snakes in Medusa's head and pass into the Room of the Ancient Warriors. Place yourself in the correct armor and open the door to the SHRIIIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog where you could smash to the Dark Forest. But beware of the Temple Guards that may inhabit the trees. Find the key in the tree, and you'll enter the Spider's Lair. If you escape, you could gain entry to the Throne Room. Sit upon the Throne of the Pretender, then race through the pit, CLIMB through the Ledges, race down the stairs and back through the temple gate. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won 1½ pendants in the temple games. Who's going first?

Jenna: I am!

Olmec: Very well, Jenna. When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the temple and make your way towards the hypnotic flute. Hidden inside the temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on. BUT if you're caught without a pendant, you will be taken out of the temple, and it'll be Alec's turn to enter and try his luck. Hidden somewhere in the temple is the other half of your pendant. If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life. If you can reach the hypnotic flute, all of the doors of the temple will instantly unlock and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the gates with the hypnotic flute in three minutes and you will both be handsomely rewarded and here's how:

Dee Bradley Baker:

First, you're both going to get…Sharper Image SBT5002 Water and Light Show Bluetooth Streaming 2.1 Speakers with Subwoofer and Dancing Lights! Create a dazzling display of lights and music with the Lightshow Water Bluetooth Speakers from Sharper Image with built-in AC power to plug to any outlet. From the Sharper Image.

The Treasure Room / Re: Revival EP: Goliath's Severed Head
« Last post by Legends Explorer Alec on June 21, 2017, 10:01:17 PM »
Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about Goliath's severed head. Pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you one step closer to Olmec's temple.

Olmec: One of the greatest Philistine warriors was Goliath of Gath, who was a giant among his comrades. For forty days in the Valley of Elah, he challenged the opposing army of the Israelites twice a day.

Goliath: Hear me, weaklings! I am the champion of my kind! The greatest of all Philistines! I demand that you bring forth the greatest of yours so that we may decide the outcome of this war with a single combat!

Olmec: But the Israelites feared his power, and Saul, king of Israel, couldn't find anyone brave enough to step up to him. But on the 40th day, a challenger finally appeared.

Goliath: Is this a joke? I ask for a champion, but given a Sheppard's boy to fight with?

David: I am David, son of Jesse, and yes, I am your challenger!

Goliath: How can you possibly expect to vanquish me with only a staff and a mere sling?

David: Haven't you heard that great things come in small packages?

Goliath: If that is so, then I shall "unwrap" you, and see what's inside!

Olmec: With that, Goliath began his advance towards David, who armed his sling with a rock he found in a brook. With it, he took great aim, and the rock was flung at the giant, slamming him right in his cranium, causing the mighty Philistine to fall like a tree.

David: Now we'll see what YOUR insides are like!

Olmec: David then used Goliath's own sword to decapitate his head, causing the shocked Philistines to run away in terror. The Israelites gave a victory celebration in David's honor afterwards, and years later, Goliath's head was brought to the Temple. Your quest is to find the severed head, and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you Olmec, now tell us, where is this severed head?

Olmec: Goliath's severed head can be found in the SHRIIIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey.

Olmec: The Philistines occupied the southern coast of…Lebanon, Syria, or Canaan?

(Male Green Monkey rings in)

Kirk: Green Monkeys

Male Green Monkey: Syria?

Olmec: Incorrect.

(Female Red Jaguar rings in)

Kirk: Red Jaguars

Female Red Jaguar: Canaan?

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Come on down!

(Red Jaguars move down)

We're looking for two teams. Next question.

Olmec: Goliath was from the Philistine city-state of…Gath, Gaza, or Ekron?

(Female Silver Snake rings in)

Kirk: Silver Snakes

Female Silver Snake: Gath.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Nice job!

(Silver Snakes move down)

Now you're on the board! Next question.

Olmec: Which of these words best describes Goliath's height?

(Male Silver Snake rings in)

Kirk: Silver Snakes

Male Silver Snake: Giant.

Olmec: That is not one of our three choices. The three choices are: Runty, Common, or Towering?

(Female Red Jaguar rings in)

Kirk: Red Jaguars

Red Jaguars: Towering.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Nice job!

(Red Jaguars move down)

Next question.

Olmec: The battle between the Philistines and the Israelites took place at the Valley of–

(Male Green Monkey rings in)

Kirk: Green Monkeys

Male Green Monkey: Elah.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Come on down! Welcome!

(Green Monkeys move down)

Next question.

Olmec: How many days did this last? 25–

(Female Silver Snake rings in)

Kirk: Silver Snakes

Silver Snakes: 40.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Nice job!

(Silver Snakes move down)

It's anybody's game! Next question.

Olmec: For those forty days, Goliath made his challenge to the Israelites–

(Male Blue Barracuda rings in)

Kirk: Blue Barracudas

Male Blue Barracuda: Twice.

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Now you're on the board!

(Blue Barracudas move down)

We still need two teams. Next question.

(Male Red Jaguar rings in)

Kirk: Red Jaguars

Male Red Jaguar: Saul.

Olmec: That is correct!

(Red Jaguars move down)

Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends, now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, I wanna talk to our team players. On the Red Jaguars we have:

Jenna: Jenna Palmer, nice to meet you Kirk. (Jenna shakes Kirk's hand)

Kirk: Nice to meet you too, Jenna! Now how old are you?

Jenna: 14.

Kirk: It says here that you have 22 pets, now tell me about that.

Jenna: Well, I have six cats, two dogs, three parrots, four rabbits, and seven snakes.

Kirk: Is your family rich?

Jenna: No.

Kirk: Then how did you get all those pets?

Jenna: Half of the cats didn't have a home at first and my brothers found all the snakes in my backyard.

Kirk: Now who's the other Red Jaguar?

Jenna: That's my friend Alec Wallace. (Alec waves at the camera)

Kirk: So let's hear it for the Red Jaguars!

But we can't forget about the Orange Iguanas. Now who do we have here?

Sherri: Sherri.

Kirk: Now how old are you, Sherri?

Sherri: 13.

Kirk: It says here that you're on a dance team, now tell me about that.

Sherri: Yeah, we compete with other dance schools. My team won many awards.

Kirk: You're such a great dancer, you know that?

Sherri: Why thank you Kirk! *giggles*

Kirk: Now who's the other Orange Iguana?

Sherri: Brendan. (Brendan waves at the camera)

Kirk: So let's hear it for the Orange Iguanas!

Why don't you girls get set up for the next temple game and guys you look like you're ready for the first one. In the temple games, teams are competing to win Pendants of Life. The winning team will need those pendants to protect them from the dreaded temple guards as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games, and Olmec will tell us about the first one.

Olmec: According legend, the Piper led the rats out of town with his flute. You however, must do it by hand! You are trapped inside a shaft with rats squirming around the bottom. When Kirk gives the signal, take a rat, and climb up the shaft. Once at the top, toss the rat out, then drop back down and start again. The player that gets all six rats out OR the player furthest along in 60 seconds wins!

Kirk: Alright, let's put 60 seconds on the clock! On your mark, get set, GO!

Alec: 6 (0:25 remaining)
Brendan: 4

He's got six! That's it! We've got the Red Jaguars here with six rats thrown out; the Orange Iguanas threw out four. That means the Red Jaguars get a half a Pendant of Life! The Orange Iguanas don't have a pendant, but they can catch up in the next game. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: The Piper successfully managed to drown the rats in the Weser River, and now it's your turn. But instead of bringing the rats to the river, you shall bring the river to the rats! Before you is a ramp, and at the top are three buckets containing Weser River water. When Kirk gives the signal, make your way up the ramp, dump one of the buckets on the rats below, then slide back down and start again. The player with all three buckets toppled OR the player furthest along in 60 seconds wins!

Kirk: Alright, players get in position. Let's put 60 seconds on the clock! On your mark, get set, GO!

Jenna: 2
Sherri: 3 (0:29 remaining)

That's it right there! The Orange Iguanas pulled down all three buckets while the Red Jaguars pulled down two. That means the Orange Iguanas a half a pendant of life! Our third and final game is worth a full Pendant of Life. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: The Pied Piper's flute was specially made with hypnotic powers. Now, you shall make one yourself! Beside you are six pieces of a flute. When Kirk gives the signal, you and your teammate will alternate going up and down the pole, placing a piece of the flute on the top. The team to get all the pieces of their flute together OR the team with the most pieces in place at the end of 60 seconds wins!

Kirk: Alright, teams get in position. Let's put 60 seconds on the clock! On your mark, get set, GO!

Red Jaguars: 5 (0:00 remaining)
Orange Iguanas: 4

That's it! Time is up! The Red Jaguars got five of theirs while the Orange Iguanas got four. That gives the Red Jaguars a full pendant, giving them 1½. The Red Jaguars are going to the temple!
10
Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the hypnotic flute of the Pied Piper. Pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the legend will bring you one step closer to Olmec's temple.

Olmec: In 1284, the town of Hamelin was suffering a terrible rat infestation. Nearly everyone was overrun with the vermin. Legend has it that one day, a man wearing pied clothing and a flute came along with a solution.

Piper: Listen Mayor, just leave it to me! I can use my special flute to get rid of every rat in this town!

Mayor: Ha! I'll believe it when I see it, but if you're not pullin' my leg, I'll make sure you get paid in full.

Olmec: Outside, the piper went straight to work, blaring a haunting melody on his flute. All the rats were immediately entranced and fled straight to him. He then led the rats into the Weser River, where they drowned. But after this, the Mayor withdrew his promise and the piper left with nothing. The next day, he played his flute again, this time luring away all the children. This caused the citizens to pay him several times the original price. His flute years later was discarded after his retirement, and made its way to the temple. Your quest is to find the flute, and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you Olmec, now tell us, where is this flute?

Olmec: The hypnotic flute of the Pied Piper can be found in the Throne Room.
