Season one half-pendant runs

I know that there were alot of half-pendant runs in the first season (Elizabeth I's Golden Ships, Lost Logbooks of Magellan, Henry the VIII's Great Seal, etc.). My question is did they hide the half pendants in all the half-pendant runs?

Like in Elizabeth the I's Golden Ships, the team only progressed into four rooms and the half-pendant is no where in site. Or in Henry the VIII's Great Seal I did not see it at all either.

Also, how many season one episodes were there when we see the half-pendant? The only one that comes to mine is the Treasure of Anne Bonny and another episode where the contestant finds the half-pendant in the Shrine.

Honestly, I don't think the half-pendant was always hid in the temple (like Henry VIII's Great Seal). However, there are a few where if you look closely, you can find the other half pendant.

And example of this would be "King Tut's Cobra Staff" they never point it out, but the half pendant is hanging on the Treasure Room-to-Shrine door acuator.

Also, the "Alexander and the Gordion Knot" temple run shows the second runner picking the half pendant up in the Shrine where the base of the statue would go when you put it together. "The Codebook of Mata Hari" features the frontrunner moving aside the half pendant at the same spot.

Yes we all know there were way too many half-pendant runs in the first season, along with too many MORON TEMPLE RUNNERS! (IE John Henry's Lost Hammer) Now, about Elizabeth the 1st's Golden Ship, my only guess is that the production crew was banking on the Red Jaguars going up into the Observatory, either to bypass the Heart Room Guard or to find the half-pendant somewhere in that room then go down. As for Henry the 8th's Great Seal, I just reviewed the footage, and I saw no half-pendant, so your guess is as good as mine. But I can conclusively say that they DID hide the half-pendants in ALL of those eps. It's just that they hid them TOO WELL!

Here's what I think about Elizabeth the First's Golden Ship.  Maybe they would've been forced into the Cave of Sighs from the Room of the Three Gargoyles and the half Pendant was on the other actuator there.

That's a lot of runs that the team did not even find the half-pendant. I still always wondered where the half-pendant was in Elizabeth I's Golden Ships and Henry the VIII's Great Seal. I guess you're when you said they didn't hide the pedant in every run.

^^^^ You forgot Alexander and The Gordion Knot which I know for a fact that the girl contestant found the half-pendant in the Shrine.


I think some runs were "choices" runs. In Henry VIII's Great Seal, if they would have entered the temple through the top room rather than the Cave, they probably would have won.

Yeah Shay could've started off in the Gargoyle room and they would've avoided the Cave one. Same thing for Gabby in Elizabeth the I's Golden Ship.

I am glad in the later season that they made them more obvious. The only three I did not see the pedant at all were:

The Missing Eye of David
The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian Queen
The Lost Love Letter of John Smith

They show you the pendants in the Lost Love Letter and the Mummified Hand episodes.

The Lost Love Letter half pendant location was on the same spot it was for King Tut's Corba Staff... They do a huge close-up on it after Whitney is caught by the third temple guard.

The Mummified Hand half pendant is in the same spot it was located at for The Much-Heralded Helmet (above the left column of markers in the Chamber of the Markers). Kirk points it out at the end.

I mentioned before that in The Trojan Horseshoe, Lucretia waved to her partner before entering the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.  Wouldn't this point at the half Pendant being on the actuator in the Room of Golden Idols?

I don't think Dragon Lady and the Blue Pearl was a 1.5 pendant run. I think Albert and Jennfer won 2 pendants in that episode, not 1.5. Just pointing that out.

...No she doesn't. I'm watching it right now and she doesn't... She does adjust her helmet though.
