Well, I survived the blizzard. I might've caught a cold from spending almost three hours with shovels and a snowblower outside yesterday, but that's really about it.

It got much worse elsewhere, though.  Winds were so bad down around the coasts that waves crashed over the seawalls and some places got flooded.  I just found out a kid died of carbon monoxide poisoning because of a problem with the heater in the car he was in (apparently the tailpipes were blocked by snow).  I definitely feel lucky, all things considered, because the worst in my area was just the two-foot-high snowbanks that had to be shoveled.

I don't think we're completely done, either.  Almost the entire width of the driveway has been cleared out, but there's no place to put the trash barrels and recycling bins out front on Tuesday.  The snow's just piled up so high on both sides that it's crazy, so somewhere a little space still needs to be cleared out.

The temperature's actually up in the upper thirties right now, though, so a little bit of it is melting, but I've heard it might just freeze again within the next day or so.  I'm gonna need a bigger jar of road salt...

Meanwhile in Singapore, I'm surviving flash floods, loud Chinese drumming on the streets for the Lunar New Year, and more bullshit from the government which this time also involves them calling nurses "unskilled."

Oh, right, and of course I'm also surviving the second year of the IB Diploma program, but let's not talk about that considering I have a week's break (meaning homework and projects from all six subjects).
