Pretty cool.

Originally, I was thinking that I was against a revival, since I want the integrity of the 90’s show to persist, but you might be changing my mind!

I never saw your video (a shame, as I want to watch it) but if you did all that, I’m surprised that got blocked down.

Bad news: my top 5 chokes video was taken down because Viacom's a terrible company. They're the ones who claimed the video and took it down. I could file a dispute, but I'd rather not go through that process. It would be too much of a headache.

I’m probably the only one, but I like when Viacom takes these things down, just not for the reason you think.

If you remember, almost all Temple Runs were available on YouTube in Early 2016, then, most of them were taken down. Silently, I thought this must have meant that Viacom still sees LOTHT as a valuable asset, and one week later the movie was announced.

I’m not saying Season 4 is getting announced next week, I doubt that’ll ever happen, but it’s good to see that Viacom still cashes in and sets out for anything that hurts LOTHT’s bottom line. Money turn heads.

Shows like the Loud House having a special LOTHT episode, with LOTHT Music in the episode is another example of Viacom making money off a show that’s a quarter century old.

I agree with GM1 about Bobby from Shaka Zulu probably forcing the doors open with his hands. If you watch the run, you can hear a thud noise and the door doesn't open naturally. It wouldn't be unusual for him to get it open since the doors have been opened in the past, both by contestants and by themselves. The same thing happened to Billy in Lost Hammer where he tried to force the golden doors open with his bare hands. Whether Bobby cheated or not though, I think we can all agree that this was not the intended path to the artifact.

Personally, I blame the producers for this.

The passageways from the swamp area never had any physical doors (like the Pit,Ledges, Shrine and virtually every other room).

So, the intentions were that if a contestant were to go through the doors they would be stopped by the second set of doors leading into the next room. The bottom room of the center shaft, had that big golden door that would be locked unless the task unlocked it.

The golden doors room, however, at least in early  Season 1, could be opened and closed manually, this was fixed in S2 as Shane from the Turban episode clearly doesn’t press an actuator from the swamp, but has to go back to press it.

Additionally, the golden doors rooms were often left ajar, so my guess is he tried to press the actuator, went through and manually pushed the door open, which again, in Season 1, was often required. How many times did a contestant have to “slide open the door” from the Pit to the Observatory, or open up the door from the Throne Room to the Swamp? In later seasons when doors opened they usually had more force in them so a contestant could clearly see that it’s opened.

As we’ve seen in videos like the Season wrap-up, while the Temple Runs were taking place, the actual temple run music was being played.

Throughout the run, however, there are other familiar actuator cues and production elements that take place when something is done in the run, though it’s clear that some cues are added in post-production, while others play in real-time.

One example of something that is added in post-production would be the “smashing the pots” sound during S2 of The King’s Storeroom. If you listen to it, the sound is identical every single time, even if the smash is weak or incomplete, it still sounds like it smashed and hit the ground. In S3, when it was moved up-top, you can hear that it’s natural, as it goes into the triangle of broken clay.

Another example of something that (might) be added in post-production is the Dark Forest to Shrine passageway opening cue. considering these doors can be forced open (unlike the shrine doors) and you don’t hear it when “all the doors unlock” I feel like that might be artificial post production.

Then however, there are many things that I feel did play out in real time, like the Crypt skeleton, the Jester’s Court laugh and Medusa’s shriek, all because they are in-consistent, and echo or don’t play at all at times.

Anyone else have any cues that you suspect might have been added afterwords and not played during the actual run?

an Hale run because the artifact was originally located in the Throne Room. During the temple games, you can see the Battle Plan sitting on the Throne Room. When they retaped the temple run, they moved the artifact to the Shrine because the Throne Room was removed by the time S2L5 came around. Although that doesn't mean there wasn't a problem with the Throne Room. The Golden Stallion team most likely encountered a production error with the Throne Room during their temple run. And that run came after Nathan Hale. ;)

As for the reason the Nathan Hale run was postponed, it's definitely possible that Christina was the mysterious puker that Kirk mentioned in his interview. In his interview, Kirk mentioned that they had to stop the run and clean the balls up in the Pit. So it definitely was a S2L1 or S2L2 episode since those temple runs had the balls in the Pit. I'm just not convinced that it was postponed because they forgot to put a key into a pot. That would've been a huge inconvenience to Christina and James when all the production team had to do was replace the pots and start the run over. It's an interesting theory, but I'm not really convinced.

True, I’m just trying to illustrate how there are so many more feasible reasons for a postponement than no key in a clay pot. Pretty much any other reason would make more sense than that. The “no key” just confirms that the run took place.

I'd have to agree. And yes, it was definitely Christina who threw up in the Pit of Despair. Why else would they have had to postpone the run?

Right? Frankly, I’d be surprised if they cleaned her up after a traumatic experience and then put her right back out there that night.

Of course, it could have been another problem, say an actuator issue, or an issue with the Throne rotating that would require a mechanic to conduct repairs, but that’s just speculation. All I’m saying is there are so many more plausible possibilities than no key in a fake clay pot.
