Trivium - "Torn Between Scylla And Charybdis"


Metalcore doesn't usually do it for me, so I was a little anxious before I checked out this band (they're supposed to share the main stage of this year's Mayhem Fest with Megadeth, Disturbed and Godsmack)... but so far, listening through Shogun is surprisingly good.  It's closer to thrash metal with a little metalcore/melodeath seasoning if anything. :P Not sure about the older stuff, but...

Eh, I tried Dragonforce but couldn't get into it.  There was just something about their sound that didn't click.
