I knew the Vikings could pull it off. :P The NFC north is not looking that great right now either and the Packers still have a shot at winning the division. ;) I know the Ravens play the Lions in a couple of weeks, so maybe we can help out the Packers.

The refs are at it again!

With the Giants leading 24-17 on Washington, the Redskins are trying to drive down. On 2nd down, it looked like they were short, but the refs gave it to them so they tried the deep ball, and it was incomplete. After that, the ref said it was now fourth down and that the last play should've been third down! They would fumble fourth down and lose.

Yeah, the Skins got shafted bad by that call. How do the officials not know what down it is? That is like the fundamentals of football. And that would've been a game winning drive for the Skins too. Not that it matters, both teams are done for anyways.

Also, the Seahawks dominated the Saints tonight. They held them under 200 yards and only gave up one TD too. That is very good considering how elite the Saints offense is. I don't see how Seattle doesn't make it to the SB this year. I could see Seahawks vs. Broncos in the SB now.

Week 14 will be here soon for us. That means we only have 4 games left of the season. :(

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5
Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars (Might as well go for them as they have played better than the Texans. Loser of this game will probably finish last in the division)

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8
Indianapolis Colts @ Cincinnati Bengals (Bengals have been more solid at home and the Colts still have yet to impress me)
Atlanta Falcons @ Green Bay Packers (Both teams are done, but I am going with the Falcons since Ryan is playing and the Packers are injured to hell)
Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots (The Browns are done.)
Oakland Raiders @ New York Jets (The Jets have only scored 6 points in the last 2 games. Both teams are out of the playoff conversation anyways)
Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles (Could go either way, but the Eagles are at home and they should score a lot of points against the Lions offense)
Miami Dolphins @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Steelers need to win this game to have a chance at the wildcard, and the Dolphins offense is pretty inept)
Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sorry TSM, but the Bucs have been more impressive lately)
Kansas City Chiefs @ Washington Redskins (They are on a 3 game losing streak, but the Redskins are no good and they should score a lot on their horrible defense)
Minnesota Vikings @ Baltimore Ravens (Ravens are holding onto that last wildcard spot. The Vikings are missing Ponder again and they won't beat the Ravens at home)
Tennessee Titans @ Denver Broncos (Denver is going to destroy the Titans)
St. Louis Rams @ Arizona Cardinals (They are a more better team that the Rams)
New York Giants @ San Diego Chargers (Both teams have been disappointing this season, but the Chargers are more impressive though and are better than their record indicates)
Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers (Seahawks are the best team in the league after dominating the Saints on MNF)
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints (Carolina will win their home game against the Saints, but they won't beat them in the Super Dome)

MONDAY, DECEMBER 9
Dallas Cowboys @ Chicago Bears (The Bears are done for good)

I'll post my picks now as well.

Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars (Lightning's gonna strike twice! )
Indianapolis Colts @ Cincinnati Bengals (Hard to trust the Colts right now. They'll be a pathetic 4 seed.)
Atlanta Falcons @ Green Bay Packers (I actually like the Packers in this one. It's too hard to trust the Falcons.)
Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots (This is going to be a blowout in ugly proportions.)
Oakland Raiders @ New York Jets (At least Oakland has been competitive the last few weeks. Jets suck.)
Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles (I really like what the Eagles are doing. This could be a surprise team if they make the playoffs. Lions are hard to trust too.)
Miami Dolphins @ Pittsburgh Steelers (We're gonna help your team out TRJ by beating your closest rival for the 2nd wild card. We still want it though! ;) )
Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Yeah, gotta go with the Bucs here. They've found themselves, sort of.)
Kansas City Chiefs @ Washington Redskins (It's in D.C., but that won't matter here. KC easily.)
Minnesota Vikings @ Baltimore Ravens (The Ravens control their own destiny. They have the experience and talent to pull it off. Vikings suck too.)
Tennessee Titans @ Denver Broncos (This could be a massacre.)
St. Louis Rams @ Arizona Cardinals (Tough break last week for Arizona, but I like them in this game.)
New York Giants @ San Diego Chargers (Gotta give it to the home team. The Chargers really need this win.)
Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers (Upset alert! Two good teams, but I'll give it to the home team in this case.)
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints (I really want to pick Carolina, but it's in the Super Dome.)
Dallas Cowboys @ Chicago Bears (This could be the game that ends the Bears' season.)

Wow, only three road teams picked on my end. :P

Texans vs Jaguars (X) (This has got to be by far the lamest primetime matchup ever!)
Colts vs Bengals (X) (Everyone can agree the Colts are overrated)
Falcons vs Packers (X) (Homer pick)
Browns vs Patriots (X) (They will kill the Browns)
(X) Raiders vs Jets (Fuck the Jets)
(X) Lions vs Eagles (The Lions are being handed the division on a silver platter)
Dolphins vs Steelers (X) (Maybe Tomlin will trip somebody here too!)
Bills vs Buccaneers (X) (Bills have fumbling problems)
(X) Chiefs vs Redskins (Chiefs will get back to the winning ways)
Vikings vs Ravens (X) (Ravens should get the six seed)
Titans vs Broncos (X) (AFC Favorite)
Rams vs Cardinals (X) (Cardinals have surprised me this year)
Giants vs Chargers (X) (Biggest question, will the Chargers sell out?)
Seahawks vs 49ers (X) (Seahawks sometimes struggle on the road, so the 49ers can take advantage of this)
Panthers vs Saints (X) (I want to pick Carolina, but it's at the Superdome)
(X) Cowboys vs Bears (Bears are falling apart)

The Texans are getting shutout by the Jaguars! :o

Houston really needs to fire Wade Phillips.

Oh how the mighty has fallen! How did the Texans go from possible Super Bowl Contenders to possible losing 11 straight, including two from the JAGS! Kubiak has got to go!

The Texans were never a Super Bowl contending team. They are a really good team, but that is about it. Even though they won 12 games last season, they started to slip at the end of the season too. They got blown out by the Colts, Vikings, and Patriots after being 11-1 or something like that. And they were lucky that the Bengals sucked in the playoffs last year too, or else they would've been one and done. I have never been sold on that team, but I didn't expect them to be this bad. There are too many things wrong with them from their coaching to their QB problems. I'd never imagine them to have the worst record in the league.

I think I remember reading something crazy about the Jags a little while back. They can still make the playoffs if they go 7-9!

Of course, everyone ahead of them needs to lose, a lot.

I just used ESPN's playoff machine and yes, the Jags can STILL make it at 7-9!

Here's what needs to happen for the Jags to make it in, starting with this week:

-Jags beat the Texans
-Vikings beat the Ravens
-Broncos beat the Titans
-Patriots beat the Browns
-Raiders beat the Jets
-Giants beat the Chargers
-Steelers beat the Dolphins
-Bucs beat the Bills

Week 15:

-Jags beat the Bills
-Broncos beat the Chargers
-Chiefs beat the Raiders
-Bears beat the Browns
-Panthers beat the Jets
-Patriots beat the Dolphins
-Cardinals beat the Titans
-Bengals beat the Steelers
-Lions beat the Ravens

Week 16:

-Jags beat the Titans
-Bills beat the Dolphins
-Browns beat the Jets
-Packers beat the Steelers
-Raiders beat the Chargers
-Patriots beat the Ravens

Week 17:

-Jags beat the Colts
-Patriots beat the Bills
-Bengals beat the Ravens
-Browns beat the Steelers
-Texans beat the Titans
-Broncos beat the Raiders
-Chiefs beat the Chargers
-Jets beat the Dolphins

A lot of things in this are unlikely, but with the way things have been playing out this year, I wouldn't be surprised if the Jags did get in. XD

If the Jags got rid of Gabbert a lot sooner, they probably would've had some more wins right now. But then again, this happens every year. Some team starts off crappy, but then they get hot and have a good finish. It happened with the Panthers last year who were 3-9 and finished 7-9. And the Redskins who were 3-6 and finished 10-6. The Bucs and Jaguars are basically paying like those teams now. Too little too late though for them.  :?
