And with a 4.75 average, time to end the poll for The Observatory - Celestial Lights.

Up next is The Wall Climb. ;)

I gave the Wall Climb a 3. It was so ugly and the amount of time spent in some of these temple runs were ridiculous. The ropes in the Pit were anything but helpful and the contestants who wanted to use the upper doors struggled because of them. They were better off using the holes in the wall. Probably my least favorite form of the Pit and I am glad that it got replaced. Stupid ropes.

I gave this room a 3. Yet another Season 1 room I hate. If I had to pick a least favorite Pit room, it would be this one. Seriously, all you have to do is climb wall, press button, move on. Simple as that. I did like it better with the ropes, but that's it. Needless to say, I'm glad this Pit variation didn't last too long, and I preferred the Wheel Room/Troubled Bridge more.

Why do you always post at the same time as me, TRJ? It's a little weird. :P

And by the way, who preferred the Season 2 Pits and the Pit of the Pendulum over this room? Come on, you know you liked those better. ;)

Of course, the Treasure Room has to be included because it's such a little darling around here. And it was miraculously a Pit Room. :P

And how can you incorporate a large treasure chest in a Pit room? It would make for an interesting Pit variation. :afro:

I gave it a 4. Yeah it's not the best room but it definitely offered a nice challenge. And the players got to choose their path.
Top 10 episodes:
1. Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
2. Lion Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta
3. Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
4. Milk Bucket of Freydis
5. Jewel Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great
6. Much Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
7. Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid
8. John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Goldmine
9. Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress
10. Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible

And with a 3.25 average, time to end the poll for The Wall Climb.

Up next is our second to last room, The Treasury of the Golden Orbs. ;)

Day 42 - Treasury of the Golden Orbs

I gave this room an 8. I was gonna give it a 7, but then I figured an 8 would be more fitting. Even though this room only lasted a short time, I really liked this objective and the challenge that it had. I liked the whole "place orb on the right pedestal" concept. And unlike the rooms before it, you had to actually FINISH the room before proceeding. With all the pedestals, it was like it was foreshadowing the King's Storeroom, which would take over this room space for the following season. This was MUCH better than the Treasure Room by a long shot. Why this wasn't incorporated into a room sooner, if not ALL of Season 1, is beyond me.

And tomorrow we cover the last room ever. This was certainly a fun ride, wasn't it? ;)

I gave the Golden Orbs a 7. I can't believe the producers took almost the whole season to replace the utter waste of space known as the Treasure Room. If they included more rooms like this one earlier on in the season, then maybe more Season 1 runs would get respect. The objective itself was an actual challenge and not pressing some lame button pressing room disguised with some other "objective" like the Golden Idols and Treasure Room. I really want to give this room a higher score, but it was so short-lived and the objective was a little iffy. I mean if you watch the three runs where the objective was completed (Ron never completed it in Anne Bonny), it was the same pedestal that worked all the time. Just like the Bamboo Forest, this room deserved much more air time. The Treasure Room shouldn't have even happened.

Well, at least tomorrow's final room is a legendary one. I certainly saved the best for last there. ;)

We all know that it is not the Treasure Room (Sorry, I have to make fun of this room one more time before the thread ends.)  :mrred:

But yeah, the Jester's Court was one of the centerpiece rooms of the temple. It might even have the second highest score.  :mrorange:
