The camera makes its way through lush greenery, and the palms move away as ambient animal noises are heard. Portions of a temple are shown, and suddenly the jungle ends, and we see Olmec?s face light up and shout, ?LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE!?

The show?s title card?a pendant of life?crashes together on the screen, and the camera shifts to focus on the temple and its rooms. ?With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!?

The pendant splinters and Kirk is seen crawling out of the Jungle Crevice to run right into the center of the stage and up the Steps of Knowledge as he begins his narration.

?Thank you, thank you!? says Kirk. ?It's nice to see you! Thank you, Olmec. Welcome to the Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we going to hear about today??

Olmec replies, ?The Legend of The Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit!?

?Ooh, the Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit!? says Kirk. ?Well, one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the gauntlet?will it be The Red Jaguars??

At this point, the camera focuses on each team as they are introduced.

?The Blue Barracudas??
?The Green Monkeys??
?The Orange Iguanas??
?The Purple Parrots??
?Or the Silver Snakes??

?They?re going to have to pass some tough mental and physical tests,? continues Kirk, ?and in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec?s temple, but first they?ll have to cross the moat, and Olmec?s gonna tell us how they have to do it today.?

Olmec instructs:
?Before you lies an ancient log, and a path of vines that has fallen across the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, step out onto the log, and grab on to the vines?because the log will begin to spin. If you fall off the log, you must got back and start again. If not, grab the next vine and make your way across the spinning log. When both partners have reached the other side, run over and hit the gong!?

Kirk hits the Silver Snakes? gong to demonstrate, which?in turn?lights up a bright silver.

?The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round,? finishes Olmec. ?Teams!? calls Kirk. ?Are you ready??

The teams excitedly reply, ?Yeeaahhhh!?

Kirk then asks, ?Olmec, are you ready??

?Yeeeeeessss?? replies Olmec.

?Teams!? shouts Kirk. ?On your marks, get set? GO!?

?There they go, onto the logs!? commentates Kirk as six players edge forward, grabbing out for their first vines before stepping onto the spinning logs. ?It?s a tough crossing,? comments Kirk. ?They have to hold on tight and keep running up the log while they move sideways, or else they?ll fall?oh, the Purple Parrots fell in!? The Green Monkeys are next to fall in, followed by the boy on the Orange Iguanas. The boy on the Silver Snakes makes it across in just under 20 second, and the Red Jaguars have their first player across shortly after. ?It?s still a tough match?? says Kirk, as he watches the girl on the Blue Barracudas try to keep herself on the log while trying to make progress sideways. ?We?re looking for our first team??Kirk is cut off by the ringing of a gong?the Silver Snakes have finished! ??and we?ve got our first team!? shouts Kirk, right as the girl on the Red Jaguars steps off onto the deck, and she, with her partner, runs over to hit the red gong. ?And our second team, too!? announces Kirk.

After about 50 seconds into the Moat crossing, the fog off the top of the water begins to dissipate. ?Oh, our teams are getting tired,? comments Kirk, ?but if they want to win this race, they?ve got to move fast!? The girl on the Orange Iguanas finally begins to start crossing the Moat, while the Purple Parrots are still trying to get their first player across. ?Looks like we?re gonna have our third team soon?? Kirk says, as the Blue Barracudas slam down on their gong. ?We?re looking for one more team now!? declares Kirk. The girl on the Green Monkeys falls into the water, giving the Orange Iguanas a chance to catch up. Seconds later, the girl on the Orange Iguanas joins her partner on the deck, and they both gong in to become the fourth team to advance. ?Okay, we?ve got our four teams! Stop right there!? shouts Kirk.

We see Kirk next to the Silver Snakes. ?The Silver Snakes did a great job,? he remarks. ?They were over in a flash. And going on to the Steps of Knowledge,? he announces, ?are the Silver Snakes?and the Orange Iguanas?and the Blue Barracudas?and the Red Jaguars.?

?The Green Monkeys and the Purple Parrots gave it a great effort,? he says. ?They?re not going away empty handed?we?ve got a great gift for them, and here?s what it is.?

Dee reads the prize:
?It?s a gift package from Mrs. Butterworth?s! Now available in apple, cinnamon, and butter cinnamon?but does she only talk to kids? You butter believe it!?

The screen transitions to a shot of the four teams atop the Steps of Knowledge. ?As we continue our quest,? says Kirk, ?it?s now time for Olmec to tell us about The Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit. But teams?pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec?s temple.?

Olmec narrates the legend:
?In the late 10th century, the People?s Crusade arose?and leading it was Peter the Hermit, a French priest. In 1095, he went to a meeting with Pope Urban II.

??So, Petey,? said Urban. ?How?s everything been going??

??Not good, your holiness,? replied Peter. ?In fact, something worries me.?

?Peter than began to give a long speech. He wanted to keep the city of Jerusalem and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre safe from invasion. At the end of it all, he had convinced an army of 100,000 citizens, who began to make their way towards Jerusalem. But by the time they had reached the city wall, Peter had lost half of his army.

??Now what do we do?? a crusader shouted.

??Okay, we?ve got to be quick.? Peter said. ?It?s best that you go in first.?

The crusaders one by one entered the city and began the First Crusade, but Peter the Hermit didn?t follow them in. Legend has it, he had seen so many deaths that he himself was afraid.

??Come on boy,? he called to his horse, and he rushed away until the battle was over, leaving his exquisite gold-lined gauntlet behind in the process. Your quest is to find the Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit and bring it back here.?

?Thanks, Olmec,? says Kirk after a short pause, ?but tell us?where is this Gold-Lined Gauntlet??

?The Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit can be found? in The SHRIIIIIIIIIINE? of the Silver Monkey!? reveals Olmec. The camera travels towards the temple?s upper floor, and we fade to the gauntlet lying on a shelf in the Shrine, with a spotlight shining on it.

?But of course,? says Kirk in response. ?Okay, teams. You are now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec?s gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you?re right, you?ll move down to the next level, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I?m gonna have to give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams that make it to the bottom level?? Kirk runs down the steps, then walks out of view ??will be one step closer to Olmec?s temple. Olmec, we?re now ready for your first question??

Olmec asks: ?Was Peter the Hermit?French, German, or Span??

The Blue Barracudas are first to ring in: ?French!?

?That is correct,? replies Olmec. ?Okay, step down, Blue Barracudas,? says Kirk, motioning for them to move down one step. ?All right, next question, Olmec.?

Olmec asks: ?In which war was Peter the Hermit involved in?World War II, the Crusades, or??

The Orange Iguanas cut him off: ?Crusades? the Crusades??

?? that is correct!? says Olmec after a short pause. ?Pulled it out of the clutch,? comments Kirk as the Orange Iguanas move down to the second step. ?Olmec, your next question, please.?

Olmec asks: ?Before fighting in the Crusades, was Peter the Hermit?a painter, a priest, or the president??

The Silver Snakes stomp down: ?A priest??

?That is correct,? declares Olmec. ?We?ve got a three-way tie on the second step!? announces Kirk after some applause. ?Still plenty of time, though. Next question??

Olmec asks: ?In 1095, did Peter the Hermit meet?Constantine, Pope Urban, or Kirk Fogg??

The Red Jaguars ring in: ?Uh, the Pope? ? Pope Urban??

Olmec remains silent, then answers, ?? that is correct.? Kirk laughs as the Red Jaguars step down. ?See, that?s why you don?t try and be funny,? Kirk jokes, ?because you get confused yourself. Okay, next question, Olmec.?

Olmec asks: ?How did Peter the Hermit convince the people to start the Crusades?he wrote a letter, he delivered a speech??

The Silver Snakes buzz in: ?He gave his speech???

?That is correct,? says Olmec. ?Okay, the Silver Snakes are just one step away from the Temple Games!? comments Kirk. ?But who?s gonna be our first team? Next question??

Olmec asks: ?Did Peter the Hermit lead?the Second Crusade, the People?s Crusade, or the??

The Red Jaguars ring in: ?The Second Crusade??

?Incorrect,? replies Olmec.

The Blue Barracudas hit their marking: ?The People?s Crusade.?

?That is correct!? declares Olmec. ?And now the Blue Barracudas are tied with the Silver Snakes on the second-to-last step!? announces Kirk. ?This match is heating up! Olmec, next question.?

Olmec asks: ?How many people did Peter the Hermit have in his army when he started?100,000, a million, or 200??

The Silver Snakes stomp down: ?100,000??

?That is correct!? shouts Olmec. ?We?ve got our first team going to the Temple Games!? exclaims Kirk. ?It?s the Silver Snakes?they?re psyched! We?ve still got room for one more team, though. Who?s it gonna be?the Red Jaguars, the Orange Iguanas, or the Blue Barracudas? Well, we?ll see. Next question, Olmec.?

Olmec asks: ?Did Peter the Hermit lead his army into?Jerusalem??

The Blue Barracudas interrupt: ?Jerusalem!?

?That is correct!? yells Olmec. ?We?ve got our two teams going on to the Temple Games!? announces Kirk as he runs over to the teams on the bottom step. ?They are the Silver Snakes? and the Blue Barracudas! Orange Iguanas, Red Jaguars? come on down? they gave it a great effort, and we?re not sending them away without a great gift?here?s what it is.?

Dee reads the prize:
"It?s a $100 savings bond from Nestl?! Hey, kids?here?s an easy act to follow. Turn an ordinary glass of milk into a thick chocolatey treat. Nestl? Quik?it?s magic in the making!?

The screen wipes to reveal Kirk with his hands on the two remaining teams? shoulders. ?These two teams are gonna be playing for the rights to enter Olmec?s temple,? he says, ?and they?re gonna do it?right after this!? We fade to a shot of Olmec, looking up at the foliage below him. He opens his mouth and his eyes glow red as the titlecard appears over his face, and then we fade to commercial.

The pendant-logo splits, the camera zooms out from a shot of a spring bubbling near the Moat, and then we fade to Kirk and the two teams.

?Welcome back to Legends,? says Kirk, standing in front of The Tiger?s Den with the two remaining teams. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest?so let?s hear it for Shane and Amber of the Silver Snakes? and David and Catherine of the Blue Barracudas!? The audience applauds for the four players before Kirk continues.

?You guys ready to play?? Kirk shouts. The players cheer and yell in response. ?Well, then go get ready!? The players all walk off in different directions. Kirk then continues his explanation.

?In the temple games, teams are competing for pendants of life?? Kirk grabs a pendant out of his pouch and holds it up to the camera. ?The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards, as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games, and Olmec will tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec explains:
?The journey the Crusaders made to reach Jerusalem was neither a simple one nor a short one. Luckily for you, your journey will be much shorter?but just as challenging. Before you stands a maze of several portions: a camp, a lake, and a jungle. When Kirk gives the signal, grab your flags and run through the maze, placing a flag at the end of each obstacle. The first player to cross the finish line will all three of their flags planted? wins!?

?Sounds like a tough route, let?s see if they can do it,? remarks Kirk. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? The two boys launch themselves into the Camp, a walled-off area filled with all sorts of broken things. ?They?ve got to get through all the mess,? explains Kirk, as a split-screen show David on the left, and Shane on the right, climbing over the pile of canvas and debris. Shane appears out of the Camp first, putting a flag in a holder at the end of the obstacle. ?The Silver Snakes have taken the lead,? announces Kirk, just as David exits the Camp, plants his first flag, and heads to the Lake, which Shane is already wading across. David jumps into the water and begins half-swimming and half-walking across the Lake. ?Silver Snakes are going fast, but the Blue Barracudas are catching up,? comments Kirk as Shane climbs out of the water, running down a ramp at the other end of the Lake and planting his second flag. ?The last leg of the race is the Jungle!? reminds Kirk, as Shane launches his way into the elastics, and begins to walk through it, pushing the cords out of his way. David makes a good attempt to catch up, trying to jump as far as he can into the Jungle, and then staying down low, scrambling through it, while Shane remains on his feet. ?He?s gonna make it?? says Kirk, as Shane makes it out of the jungle and plants his final flag. David follows soon after?but the Silver Snakes have already crossed the finish line!

?That?s it!? yells Kirk as he runs over to the two thoroughly wet boys. ?We?ve got a winner?it?s the Silver Snakes, and they get the half pendant of life!? The audience cheers while Kirk gives both boys high-fives.

?The Blue Barracudas can catch up in the next game, though,? says Kirk. ?It?s worth a half-pendant?Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.?

Olmec narrates:
?No army can fight in a battle without being protected by their enemies? attacks. Your army has lost their armor, and it?s your job to find it. When Kirk gives the signal, climb up using the two ropes, and grab a shield from the ceiling. Then come back down and place it in your bin. The first player to collect all eight shields, or the team that?s further along at the end of 60 seconds wins.?

?That?s a strange place to store shields,? comments Kirk. ?Okay, let?s put 60 seconds on the clock!?

The clock bangs down into the corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? Amber and Catherine immediately start pulling themselves up the ropes, but Catherine?s feet keep slipping off the knots in the rope. ?It?s not easy,? reminds Kirk, ?when those ropes are swinging all over the place and they?ve got to hold onto both of them!? The Silver Snakes are first to grab a shield, and Amber drops down onto the floor with 46 seconds left on the clock. ?It?s 1-0 for the Silver Snakes!? announces Kirk, but Catherine is catching up, and she grabs a shield from the ceiling. She lands, and places it in her bin, but the Silver Snakes are already more than halfway up again. ?Ooh, nice move by the Silver Snakes!? remarks Kirk as Amber grabs a shield and falls down at the same time. [0:30] The score is now 3-3, but the Silver Snakes are still holding their lead against the Blue Barracudas. ?It?s neck-and-neck,? commentates Kirk, ?but it may all come down to the wire, folks.? With seconds ticking down, the audience cheers more loudly, egging on the players to move faster. Amber snatches off a fifth shield from the ceiling and drops back down with eight seconds to go, as Catherine is still climbing her way up. She reaches up and grabs a shield?but TIME IS UP before she can hit the ground.

?Okay, stop there!? shouts Kirk. ?That one didn?t get in before time?s up?? He points to the shield that Catherine is still holding. ?All right, so we have one? two? three? four? five for the Silver, and one? two? three? four for the Blue?the Silver Snakes get another half pendant of life!? Catherine pumps a fist as the audience cheers.

?So now the Silver Snakes have one pendant,? reminds Kirk, ?and the Blue Barracudas don?t have any, but we?re going into our third and final game?it?s worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Peter the Hermit led the People?s Crusade, one of the many Crusades that took place. Today, you?ll be recreating one of its battles. When Kirk gives the signal, load your slingshot, and lob a cannonball at one of the soldiers at the wall. Then your partner will load their slingshot and do the same. The first team to knock down all four soldiers, or the team that?s further along at the end of 60 seconds? wins.?

?Knockin? down some soldiers,? Kirk comments. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock!?

The clock slams down into the corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? The two girls are first to fire a shot each, but both Amber and Catherine miss. ?Now they?ve got to let their partner try and get one of those soldiers down,? Kirk comments, right as David hits one of the statues and it topples over. On the other hand, the Silver Snakes are now missing. [0:43] ?The Blue Barracudas started off good, but now they?re having some trouble,? comments Kirk when Catherine sends a cannonball flying into the Vine Drop. Shane knocks a soldier over with 30 seconds to go, followed by Amber knocking down a second soldier shortly after. ?Woah, now the Silver Snakes are catching up!? announces Kirk, as the Blue Barracudas speed up, trying to take back the lead. [0:21] The Blue Barracudas manage to knock down a second soldier, but the Silver Snakes knock down a third at about the same time. ?Ooh, the Silver Snakes are not giving up!? exclaims Kirk, as he watches one of the Snakes? statues fall over backwards. No additional progress is made afterward, and time runs out as the clock explodes.

?Okay, that?s it!? shouts Kirk as he runs back into view of the camera. ?Come on over here, teams. Okay, well, the Silver Snakes knocked down three soldiers, and the Blue Barracudas knocked down one, uh, two? so that gives the Silver Snakes the full pendant!? The audience once again applauds briefly.

?That gives the Silver Snakes two pendants,? concludes Kirk, ?and the Blue Barracudas didn?t have any? The Silver Snakes are going to the Temple!? Shane and Amber jump up and down, celebrating, as the audience cheers and shouts.

?We can?t forget about the Blue Barracudas,? reminds Kirk. ?They did a great job, gave it a great effort? we?ve got a great gift for ?em, and here?s what it is.?

Dee reads the prize:
?It?s a $200 savings bond from Reebok, because on Planet Reebok, there are no limits. Reebok?the official shoe of Legends of the Hidden Temple!?

We transition to a shot of Kirk with the Silver Snakes. ?They?re excited,? he says, ?and now they?re going to Olmec?s temple, right after this!? The camera backs turns away, then heads toward the Temple. It stops right in front of the Grand Marsh, zooming in on one of the alligators, as a pendant of life forms the show?s logo before fading to commercial.

The logo splits, the camera zooms out from a pile of rocks near the front of the Forest of a Thousand Dragons, and then we fade to Kirk with his hands on the Silver Snakes? shoulders.

?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?The Silver Snakes proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter Olmec?s temple. But first, Olmec?s going to give them some information to help them retrieve The Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit.?

Olmec begins his rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Tigers' Den and climbing down into the Vine Drop. Pull the right vine to raise the stone slab, then race into the Treasury of the Monkeys. Find the right bunch of bananas, and you could choose to go up into the Anaconda's Sanctuary, or into the Grand Marsh. Open the crocodiles? mouths to find the tongue, and you might have a chance to enter The Forest? of a Thousand Dragons. Reach into the dragon?s mouths and find the key?but be careful: one of the dragons might be inhabited by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you?ll have to give up a Pendant of Life. Next, plow through the wall and into the Secret Spring.

?There, climb up the Falls and into the Catfish Cove. Find the correct bucket, and open the door to the Shriiiiine? of the Silver Monkey?where you can grab the Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit. Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Elephant?s Cave. Find the peanut and feed the correct elephant, which will allow you into the Wildebeests' Hideout. Turn the correct horn, and run across the Walk of Faith. Then, pass through the Room of the Tropicana Birds, race down the stairs, and back through the temple gates. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won two pendants in the temple games. Who's going first??

?I am!? yells Shane.

?Very well, Shane!? replies Olmec. ?When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the temple, and make your way towards the Gold-Lined Gauntlet. Hidden inside the temple are temple guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken out of the temple... and it will be Amber?s turn to enter and try her luck. If you can reach the Gauntlet, all the doors of the temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. Return through the gates with The Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded?and here's how!?

Dee reads the team?s prizes:
?   For just going into the temple, you?ll both receive $1000 worth of Toys ?r? Us ?Geoffery Dollars?! Shopping at Toys ?r? Us is even more fun with you?ve got Geoffery Dollars, ?cause they?re good as cash at any Toys ?r? Us store! From Toys ?r? Us.
?   If you can grab the Gauntlet before three minutes is up, you?ll also receive a Diamondback bike! This all-terrain mountain bicycle come with a lightweight aluminum body and 24 speed combinations. From Diamondback.
?   And if you can bring the Gauntlet out of the temple before three minutes is up, you?ll both be going to Busch Gardens! Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, Florida, featuring dazzling scenery and the tallest, steepest, and scariest roller coaster on the east coast?Sheikra! From Anheiser-Busch Entertainment!

?Let?s see if we can get them to Busch Gardens,? says Kirk, ?Let?s get in position? And let?s put three minutes on the clock!?

The clock slams down in the corner of the screen. ?Olmec,? says Kirk, ?lower your gate.? The gate lowers as Olmec moans and the lights around him switch off. ?On your marks, get set? GO!?

Shane springs forward and heads up the stairs of the Temple, his pendant swinging about in his hand. ?He?s going up,? commentates Kirk, ?up into the Tropicana Bird Room.? He enters the Room of the Tropicana Birds and immediately turns around to hit the rightmost bird?s beak, then moving around the room hitting the remaining two beaks. After he slams down on the third beak, the door to the Walk of Faith slides open with a bang and mist from the next room fills the doorway. ?Ooh, now he?s got to cross the Walk of Faith!? comments Kirk, as Shane runs down the steps and edges cautiously onto the swaying vine bridge. [2:45] The bridge rocks back and forth, disorienting Shane, but he holds on and crosses the bridge, gripping the two side vines, and hitting the actuator to the Wildebeests? Hideout with 2:35 left. He races up the stairway, and then sets foot in the room, looking as dark as usual. But out of the gloom steps a figure with a headdress?it?s the first TEMPLE GUARD!

?Temple guard!? shouts out Kirk as a shocked Shane jumps back in surprise. [2:27] ?Give him your pendant!? Shane regains his composure and hands the guard his pendant, then walks him and turns the left-side horn of the wildebeest head. A noise indicates the open door below, and Shane begins to walk toward the ladder at the back of the room and descends down it. [2:13] ?He?s a little fazed by that temple guard,? remarks Kirk as we switch to a crane-cam shot in front of the Anaconda?s Sanctuary. ?Now he?s got to get that snake?? Shane removes the rubber anaconda from a small ledge on the front railing, and then heads to the wall on the left side of the room, where rockwork simulates a miniature cave. [2:08] He puts the head of the snake inside the hole in the wall first, and then feeds the rest of it in, opening two doors?one to the Elephant?s Cave, and one to the Treasury of the Monkeys. ?He?s gonna choose the door that?ll take him to the Treasury of the Monkeys,? commentates Kirk as Shane backs down another ladder. [1:57] ?He?s gotta move if he wants to get to that Gauntlet,? comments Kirk. But as Shane steps off onto the grimy ground, a second TEMPLE GUARD emerges from the corner of the room and grabs onto him with 1:51 remaining.

?Go, Amber!? cheers Kirk, as Amber witnesses her partner?s capture and darts up the stairs, past Olmec. ?Shane got taken out by one of those dreaded temple guards?they?ll get you eventually?? [1:46] Amber runs through the Room of the Tropicana Birds, and then crosses the Walk of Faith in seven seconds, showing only a little trouble. ?Nice move!? comments Kirk, as Amber jumps up from the vines and into the doorway, heading up the twisting stairwell to the Wildebeests? Hideout. She enters the room and immediately disappears behind the box covering the ladder downward.  [1:30] ?She?s gotta go down, all the way,? explains Kirk, as Amber turns around briefly in the Anaconda?s Sanctuary before heading down the ladder into the Treasury. ?Now she?s in the Treasury,? declares Kirk, as Amber tries to look for the bananas?which her partner dropped when he was in the room?on the floor. [1:22] She finds one bunch, and places it on the altar, hesitating and waiting for a reaction before placing a second bunch. Once again, nothing happens, so she climbs up and grabs the third bunch of bananas, and places it on the altar. ?That door looks like it?s not gonna open,? notices Kirk, as Amber continues to look confused. [1:09] She switches about the bunches of bananas again, looking for an open door, but the doors remained locked. ?Oh, she?s gonna have to go back up,? Kirk says. Amber takes his advice and retreats back up the ladder, appearing in the Anaconda?s Sanctuary with 55 seconds to go.

There, she once again looks around, confused. ?The door is open!? calls out Kirk, and Amber finally notices the open door to the Elephant?s Cave. She enters the connecting crawl tube and appears in the Cave moments later. ?Now she has to open up those boxes, and find a peanut to feed those elephants,? shouts Kirk. ?She?s right next to the Gauntlet!? [0:40] Amber lifts open the rightmost box and is met with a mess of hay, but opens the center box to reveal an oversized peanut. ?Okay, now she?s gotta put them in the right elephant?in the mouth of the right elephant,? explains Kirk. Amber opens the mouth of the center elephant first, but it does not close when she puts the peanut in it. [0:34] ?Try another!? shouts Kirk. She then opens up the leftmost elephant?s mouth and closes it, and a door opens. ?Which door?s open? Looks like she might have to go down?? [0:28] Amber checks one of the ladders leading downward?the one at the leftmost side of the room?and then checks the central downward door. ?That?s the one,? reveals Kirk as the camera pans down according to Amber?s movements. She heads down into the Grand Marsh with 20 seconds on the clock, and then immediately wades through the quicksand-looking murk in the room over to an alligator?s head. ?Now she?s got to find that tongue,? says Kirk. ?She still has 15 seconds, but she still has to get through that dreaded Forest of a Thousand Dragons!? Amber pulls down the jaw of the alligator, finding the tongue at once?which unrolls out?and she tugs on it, and a rumbling noise indicates the open door, as does a shaft of green light from the left of the room. [0:07] ?You?ve gotta move, Amber!? shouts Kirk, as the audience counts down the final seconds. Amber navigates the Marsh as fast as possible, but as she?s about to climb into the next room, the clock hits zero and explodes?TIME IS UP!

?Time?s up!? announces Kirk as we cut back to a shot of him standing with a disappointed-looking Shane. ?They did a great job. Just had a little tough time in the Temple?that dead-end confused Amber, and that cost ?em. They still get the Toys ?r? Us stuff for playing, and they had a great time?but we?re out of time. See you next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple. Buh-bye!?

The credits begin to scroll as various ending scenes are shown: some shots of the Temple?s interior, a random stone marker lying in some plants, and an applauding audience. Finally, the camera fades out, and the light bulb-Nickelodeon logo is shown as an electric buzzing noise is heard.

Artifact Name: The Gold-Lined Gauntlet of Peter the Hermit
Location: The Shrine of the Silver Monkey
Result: Ran out of time
Time Remaining: N/A
Pendants Won: 2

This temple run wasn't all that interesting, but I liked the elimination rounds of the episode. The show began with an interesting Moat crossing - players balanced on a constantly spinning log, having to move across it sideways, and only holding on to several hanging vines. The Moat lasted approximately a minute and a half (and it was edited down, as revealed by the sudden disappearance of mist on the water's surface) and the four teams to advance were the Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas, Orange Iguanas, and Silver Snakes. And from the Steps of Knowledge, the Silver Snakes and the Blue Barracudas advanced to a face-off in the Temple Games.

The first Temple Game was played by the boys. They ran through a three-part obstacle course formed by the Camp, the Lake, and the Jungle. The Silver Snakes were first to finish, earning themselves a half-pendant. The second game featured two ropes hanging from a ceiling, which was ridden with "the Crusaders' shields". Players climbed up to retrieve the shields, and then tried to get as many of them in their bin as possible. Once again, the Silver Snakes won. The third Temple Game was the ever-present "knock down the soldiers" game, which the Silver Snakes won with a lead change within the game, for a 2-0 shutout.

Shane, the frontrunner, made some good progress in the Temple, moving at a good speed. He descended down the entire central shaft, missing an open door to the Elephant's Cave, and was taken out from the Treasury of the Monkeys with a little under two minutes remaining. Amber was not quite as speedy as Shane, but because her partner had cleared a path for her, she followed that exact route, ending up in the Treasury of the Monkeys as well, costing her valuable time as she tried to figure out why the doors didn't open. Backtracking from the dead-end, she then proceeded down from the Elephant's Cave and past the Grand Marsh. Time ran out as she was exiting the room. If that one wrong turn hadn't been taken, there's a good chance this team could've laid their hands on the Gauntlet.

Trivia and Records
As Shane crosses the Walk of Faith and goes through the doorway to the Wildebeests' Hideout, a small object can be seen hanging off the door's actuator. It's a random half-pendant which was redundant in this episode, presumably for a different temple run.

Really loving the first Temple Game, the convoluted Temple path and the randomly-misplaced half-Pendant. Keep up the good work!
