The camera makes its way through lush greenery, and the palms move away as ambient animal noises are heard. Portions of a temple are shown, and suddenly the jungle ends, and we see Olmec?s face light up and shout, ?LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE!?

The show?s title card?a pendant of life?crashes together on the screen, and the camera shifts to focus on the temple and its rooms. ?With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!?

The pendant splinters and Kirk is seen crawling out of the Jungle Crevice to run right into the center of the stage and up the Steps of Knowledge as he begins his narration.

?Thank you, thank you!? says Kirk. ?It's nice to see you! Thank you, Olmec. Welcome to the Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we going to hear about today??

Olmec replies, ?The Legend of The Iron Helmet of Richard the Third!?

?Oh, it?s the Iron Helmet of Richard the Third!? says Kirk. ?Well, one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the crown?will it be The Red Jaguars??

At this point, the camera focuses on each team as they are introduced.

?The Blue Barracudas??
?The Green Monkeys??
?The Orange Iguanas??
?The Purple Parrots??
?Or the Silver Snakes??

?They?re going to have to pass some tough mental and physical tests,? continues Kirk, ?and in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec?s temple, but first they?ll have to cross the moat, and Olmec?s gonna tell us how they have to do it today.?

Olmec instructs:
?Before you lies an ancient log and some vines that have fallen across the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, step onto the log? but be careful?the log will begin to spin, and you?ll have to grab the vines to hold on. If you fall off the log, you must got back and start again, but if you make it across, it?s your partner?s turn to cross. When both partners have reached the other side, run over and hit the gong!?

Kirk hits the Silver Snakes? gong to demonstrate, which?in turn?lights up a bright silver.

?The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round,? finishes Olmec. ?All right, teams!? yells Kirk. ?Are you ready??

The teams excitedly reply, ?Yeeaahhhh!?

Kirk then asks, ?Olmec, are you ready??

?You bet, Kirk!? replies Olmec.

?Let?s get this started, then!? shouts Kirk. ?Teams! On your marks, get set? GO!?

Six players in six different color shirts dash forward towards the logs as shown in a wide shot of the Moat, before we pan through each of the teams? progress. ?The Red Jaguars are doing good,? comments Kirk as we see them holding onto the first vine while beginning to sidestep their way across, ?and so are the Green Monkeys and the Silver Snakes!? The Orange Iguanas fall in right away, losing their balance on the spinning log, and the Purple Parrots are swept off the log while reaching for the second vine. The Blue Barracudas attempt to edge forward, but also lose their momentum and timing, and fall into the water as a result. ?The Red Jaguars are blazing!? exclaims Kirk, as the boy on the Red Jaguars quickly scrambles sideways onto the deck. ?The Silver Snakes are coming up close, and so are the Green Monkeys!? The first player on the Green, Orange, Silver, and Purple step off their logs in that order, while the girl on the Red Jaguars falls into the water.

?We?re still looking for our first team?? says Kirk, as the girl on the Blue Barracudas finally makes it across and her partner begins to cross. ?Looks like it?s gonna be the Green Monkeys!? The Green Monkeys, now with both players across, slam down on their gong to be the first to advance. ?We?re still looking for three more teams, though,? he then says. ?Who?re they gonna be?? We cut to a shot of the end of the Moat, where the Silver Snakes are also reuniting, and the boy on the Silver Snakes runs over to hit his gong. ?We?ve got the Silver Snakes too,? says Kirk, ?aaaaaaand? the Orange Iguanas are in!? The Orange Iguanas also ring their gong to move on to the next round. ?We need just one more team?? The girl on the Purple Parrots is seen slipping and back-flipping into the water, and the girl on the Red Jaguars finally makes it across successfully, and hits the gong to end the round. ?We?ve got ?em?we?ve got our four teams!?

The screen cuts to Kirk standing next to the Silver Snakes. ?Going on to the Steps of Knowledge,? he announces, ?are the Silver Snakes?and the Orange Iguanas?and the Green Monkeys?and the Red Jaguars.?

?The Purple Parrots and the Blue Barracudas gave it a great effort,? he says. ?They?re not going away empty handed?we?ve got a great gift for them, and here?s what it is??

The screen transitions to a shot of the four teams atop the Steps of Knowledge. ?As our quest continues,? says Kirk, ?it?s now time for Olmec to tell us about The Iron Helmet of Richard the Third. But teams?pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec?s temple.?

Olmec narrates the legend:
?One of the most short-lived rulers of England was King Richard the Third. He rose to the throne in 1483 at the age of 30. But he only reigned for two years because of a traitor in his midst?Thomas Stanley. He was preparing to fight in the Battle of Bosworth, a battle that many agreed was the end of the Middle Ages in England. Legend has it, Stanley had never wanted to be on the same side as Richard, whom he thought was weak.

??You ready for tomorrow?? Richard asked Stanley a day before the battle.

??Of course,? Stanley grunted. ?I?ve got my army, you?ve got your army, we?re all set for the battle tomorrow.?

?In the morning, the Battle of Bosworth began, and Richard and Stanley?s combined army fought well. But Stanley knew that if he walked out on Richard before the battle, he might get a larger army in time. Later that night, Richard woke up to find something wrong.

??Tom? Thomas??? Richard called. He lit a candle, then looked over at Stanley?s bunk.

??He?s gone!? cried out Richard. ?He?s run away!?

?The next day, Richard discovered that Thomas Stanley had abandoned him and switched sides, leaving Richard with his small army left to fight for himself. He fought with all his heart, but was killed in the battle and all that was left of him was his iron helmet, which later made its way to the temple. Your quest is to find the Iron Helmet of Richard the Third and bring it back here.?

?Thank you, Olmec,? says Kirk after a short pause, ?so tell us?where is the Iron Helmet??

?The Iron Helmet of Richard the Third can be found? in the Wildebeests? Hideout,? reveals Olmec. The camera moves up the central shaft slowly till it reaches the Wildebeests? Hideout before we see a close-up of the Helmet sitting on top of the wildebeest head.

?Alright,? says Kirk in response. ?Teams?you are now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec?s gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you?re right, you?ll move down to the next level, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I?m gonna have to give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams that make it to the bottom level?? Kirk runs down the steps, then walks out of view ??will be one step closer to Olmec?s temple. Olmec, we?re now ready for your first question??

Olmec asks: ?Was Richard the Third?King of England, King of France, or King of Spain??

The Red Jaguars stomp down: ?King of England!?

?That is correct,? says Olmec. ?All right, step on down, Red Jaguars!?  adds Kirk as his hand motions for the Red Jaguars to move down a step. ?Okay, next question, Olmec.?

Olmec asks: ?When Richard the Third became King, was he: 30, 40, or 82??

The Green Monkeys ring in: ?30??

?That is correct!? declares Olmec. ?Okay, Green Monkeys, step down!? says Kirk after some applause. ?Next question, Olmec.?

Olmec asks: ?Did Richard the Third fight in: The Battle of Boston, The Battle of Bosworth, or The Battle of Lexin??

The Red Jaguars hit their marking: ?The Battle of Bosworth!?

?That? is correct,? responds Olmec. ?And like that,? Kirk announces, ?the Red Jaguars are just one step away from the Temple Games! We?re looking for two teams, though. Olmec, next question??

Olmec asks: ?Was Richard betrayed by: Henry Stanley, Thomas Stanley, or Stanley Yelnats??

The Red Jaguars stomp down on their step: ?Thomas Stanley???

?You got it, kids!? booms Olmec. ?We?ve got our first team going to the Temple Games!? announces Kirk loudly as the audience cheers. ?It?s the Red Jaguars?they?re excited!  There?s still plenty of time left for the other teams, though. All right, Mr. Olmec?next question, please.?

Olmec asks: ?Did Richard lose the battle because?his army was too small??

The Green Monkeys ring in: ?His army was too small??

?That is correct,? replies Olmec. ?And now the Green Monkeys are just one step away from the Temple Games!? Kirk then says. ?We?re still looking for our second team, though. Next question??

Olmec asks: ?Did Richard the Third rule England for: three years, two years, or two months??

The Green Monkeys buzz in: ?Two years.?

?That is correct!? shouts Olmec. ?We?ve got our two teams!? shouts Kirk as he runs over to the teams on the bottom step. ?And they are the Red Jaguars? and the Green Monkeys! Orange Iguanas, Silver Snakes? come down here, it was a great match, they just didn?t get the chance to answer. We?ve got a great gift for you all, and here?s what it is??

Dee reads the prize:
?It?s here?the official Legends: Wild Jungle backpack! Custom-designed and made to fit, never venture anywhere without the wildest backpack in the world! The official Legends: Wild Jungle backpack, from Nickelodeon and Jansport!

The screen wipes to reveal Kirk with his hands on the two remaining teams? shoulders. ?These two teams will be playing for the rights to enter Olmec?s temple,? he says, ?and they?re gonna do it?right after this!? The camera turns around to face the temple, which we start rushing toward. We reach the Treasury of the Monkeys, then zoom in on the bananas hanging off the ladder. The show?s logo appears, then we fade to commercial.

The pendant splits, we zoom out from an old miner?s lamp located in plants near the Moat, and then we fade to Kirk and the two teams.

?Welcome back to Legends,? says Kirk, standing in front of The Vine Drop with the two remaining teams. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest? so before we get started, let?s meet our teams. On the Green Monkeys, we have Lacey. It says here that you swim, is that correct??

?Yes,? replies the short, brown-haired girl on the Green Monkeys. ?I?ve been swimming competitively for seven years.?

?Do you have a favorite or best event?? Kirk asks.

?Mm, not really,? shrugs Lacey. ?Okay, well, keep swimming!? laughs Kirk. ?Also, we have Dean. You want to be a marine biologist?why a marine biologist??

?I like the sea,? explains Dean, an equally short boy with dark hair, ?and I like sea creatures, so it?s probably the job I?d enjoy the most.?

?Sounds good,? comments Kirk. ?Let?s hear it for the Green Monkeys!? The audience applauds for the team before Kirk turns to the brunette girl with long straight hair on the Red Jaguars.

?And over here,? continues Kirk, ?on the Red Jaguars, we?ve got Rebecca. You want to become a doctor when you grow up?what kind of doctor??

?I don?t know, really,? laughs Rebecca in response. ?Maybe a pediatrician.?

?That?s okay, there?s still plenty of time to choose,? Kirk assures as he turns to her taller partner, with blond hair and glasses. ?And finally, we have Alex. You play basketball?tell me about that.?

?Well, I play for my school team,? explains Alex.

?What position do you play?? asks Kirk.

?Uh, point guard,? replies Alex.

?Point guard!? repeats Kirk. ?We?ve got a strong team right here, folks. Let?s hear it for the Red Jaguars!? Once again, the audience cheers, this time for the Red Jaguars.

?Okay, you guys ready to play?? he then asks. The players shout and cheer in response. ?Well, then go get ready,? continues Kirk, ?and I?ll explain what?s gonna happen.?

?In the temple games, teams are competing for pendants of life?? Kirk grabs a pendant out of his pouch and holds it up to the camera. ?The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards, as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games?Olmec, can you tell us about Temple Game #1??

Olmec explains:
?Richard the Third?s helmet was just one of many helmets he needed to protect his army. Today, you must help Richard collect all his helmets in preparation for the Battle of Bosworth?but he has lost all of them. Before you stands a maze of several portions: the camp, the jungle, and the lake, and at the end of each obstacle is a helmet. When Kirk gives the signal, run through the maze and collect each helmet as you complete an obstacle. The first player to cross the finish line with all three helmets? wins.?

?Richard the Third sure was a disorganized King,? says Kirk humorously. ?Okay, teams! On your marks, get set? GO!? The camera immediately zooms in on Dean and Alex running towards the Camp?strewn with broken tents and firewood lying all over the place. ?This is a tough race!? Kirk comments as nimble Dean climbs over the mess while Alex tries to remain on his feet instead. ?The Green Monkeys are doing a great job so far, but here come the Red Jaguars!? The first obstacle ends with a small wooden slide to a marked track on the Temple Games floor, and Dean gets there first, taking his first helmet from the small rock stand. The Red Jaguars make an attempt to catch up; Alex grabs his first helmet a few seconds later, and then dives into the jungle?a metal frame filled with elastics. ?The jungle?s real hard to get through,? says Kirk as both boys struggle as they crawl through the strings. ?They have to avoid those elastics and still keep up their speed?? Once again, Dean is first out and grabs the second helmet. Now with both hands full, he reaches the lake leg of the course?a large pool of water to get across. ?He can swim, he can walk, he just has to get across that lake!? explains Kirk as Alex reaches the lake. The Green Monkeys look strong, as Dean simply wades across the bottom of the pool as fast as he can. ?Looks like the Green Monkeys are gonna do it!? Kirk shouts as Dean climbs out and grabs the third helmet. ?And he does!? Dean crosses the finish line to greet Kirk, as Alex does about seven seconds later.

?I?m not gonna get too close to either of them?they?re all soaking wet,? Kirk jokes. ?Well, the Green Monkeys got out first, so that gives Dean the half pendant of life!? The audience cheers as Dean pumps a fist in the air, tiredly.

?There?s still time for the Red Jaguars to catch up, though,? continues Kirk. ?This next game is also worth a half-pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec narrates:
?The Battle of Bosworth was one of the many battles in the War of the Roses, one of England?s longest civil wars. Today, there will be one last battle?with cannons! When Kirk gives the signal, grab some cannonballs, load your cannon, and fire at your opponent. If they are hit, the ball will stick to their clothes. If you run out of cannonballs, go out to the battlefield and try again. The player with the least balls stuck to their clothes at the end of 60 seconds wins.?

?It?s the Battle of the Half-Pendant!? remarks Kirk. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock!?

The clock slams down in the corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? Both girls run out into the ?battlefield? and each gather a handful of the small plastic balls lying on the floor, then fill their cannons through a plastic tube. ?Now they have to both shoot and dodge at the same time,? explains Kirk, ?but they can?t block.? [0:45] A stream of three balls goes flying towards the Red Jaguars, and Rebecca, who?s still loading her cannon, shrieks as she hides behind it to avoid Lacey?s shots. ?Woah!? exclaims Kirk as Lacey moves the cannon. ?Scared the Red Jaguars, that?s for sure?but she?s getting her bearings together now!? The Red Jaguars also let out a barrage of balls, but only one hits Lacey, who fires another three at Rebecca, and getting two of them to stick. ?Ooh, nice move by the Green Monkeys!? comments Kirk, with 23 seconds left on the clock. ?Now they?ve got to go get more cannonballs?? Lacey grabs about ten balls before Rebecca gets any, and reloads her cannon as quickly as possible, sticking two balls to Rebecca?s back as she makes her way to her cannon. ?The Green Monkeys are blazing!? commentates Kirk as Rebecca screams again as she is hit. [0:10] The audience begins to count down as the final few seconds tick down. ?It?s gonna be close!? Kirk shouts. ?Just a few more shots, and it?s over? and? time?s up! Ceasefire!?

Plastic balls finally stop flying all over the stage and the two girls step down from their cannons and run over to Kirk. ?Well,? he says, ?let?s check out the scores.? He walks over to Lacey first. ?Well, the Green Monkeys had one? uh, turn around? yep, just one ball! ? and the Red Jaguars had? one, two? and the back? three, FOUR balls?that means the Green Monkeys get the half pendant of life!? The audience once again applauds for the Green Monkeys.

?Now the Green Monkeys have one pendant,? recaps Kirk, ?and the Red Jaguars don?t have any yet, but we?re going to our third and final game. It?s worth a full pendant?Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Richard the Third was a fierce fighter, and did not give up when Thomas Stanley abandoned him. Before you stands the enemy army. When Kirk gives the signal, load your slingshot and lob a ball at one of the soldiers on the wall. Then your partner will load your slingshot and do it again. The first team to knock down all four soldiers, or the team that knocks down the most soldiers at the end of 60 seconds? wins.

?I?m gonna get outta here before I get hit,? comments Kirk as he backs away from view of the camera. ?Okay, let?s put 60 seconds on the clock!?

The clock bangs down into the corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? With that, the teams immediately start loading their slingshot, and the Red Jaguars knock down their rightmost statue on their first try. ?Ooh, that?s one for the Red Jaguars!? shouts Kirk as Lacey misses on her team?s first shot. [0:52] Alex fires his first cannonball, but misses and it flies into the Vine Drop. ?Woah, he shot that one right into the Temple!? exclaims Kirk. ?And the Red Mon?uh, Green Monkeys just got one down!? Lacey?s second shot knocks down a soldier, while the Red Jaguars now have trouble, missing four shots in a row after that. ?The Red Jaguars need this game if they want to tie up the scores!? reminds Kirk, as Alex misses yet another shot. [0:20] Lacey also sends a cannonball into the Jungle Crevice, but Dean knocks down a second soldier. ?Ohh! The Green Monkeys have two down now!? commentates Kirk. ?Red Jaguars need to catch up!? But it?s almost too late for that?with eight seconds remaining, Rebecca can?t shoot a strong enough shot towards the soldiers and misses. Soon after, the clock explodes and the ceiling lights flash?TIME IS UP!

?That?s it! That?s it!? yells Kirk as he runs over to the teams. ?It?s over! Well, the Red Jaguars knocked down one soldier, and the Green Monkeys knocked down two, so that gives them the full pendant!? The audience cheers at this outcome.

?So that gives the Green Monkeys two pendants,? Kirk says, ?and the Red Jaguars didn?t have any? The Green Monkeys are going to the temple!? This time, the audience roars in applause as Lacey and Dean cheer and hug in celebration.

?Great job!? praises Kirk. ?Red Jaguars gave it a great effort as well?it was a tough match?and they?re not going away empty-handed. We?ve got a great gift for them, and here?s what it is.?

Dee reads the prize:
?It?s $100 worth of Toys ?r? Us Geoffrey Dollars! A great gift idea, because they?re as good as cash at any Toys ?r? Us store!?

We transition to Kirk standing with an excited Green Monkeys team. ?They made it all this way,? he says, ?and now we?re gonna see if the Green Monkeys can retrieve The Iron Helmet of Richard the Third? right after this!? We see a camera pans past gongs, some lit and some unlit, until we reach the Green Monkeys? lit gong. A pendant of life crashes together to form the show?s logo, and then we fade to black.

The pendant splits, the camera zooms out from the Helmet on top of the wildebeest?s head, and then we fade to Kirk with his hands on the Green Monkeys? shoulders.

?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Dean and Lacey proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter Olmec?s temple. But first, Olmec?s going to give them some information to help them retrieve The Iron Helmet? of Richard the Third.?

Olmec begins his rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Tigers' Den and climbing down into the Vine Drop. Pull the right vine to raise the stone slab, then race into the Treasury of the Monkeys. Find the right bunch of bananas, and you could choose to go up into the Anaconda's Sanctuary, or into the Grand Marsh. Open the crocodiles? mouths to find the tongue, and you might have a chance to enter The Forest? of a Thousand Dragons. Reach into the dragon?s mouths and find the key?but be careful: one of the dragons might be inhabited by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you?ll have to give up a Pendant of Life. Next, plow through the wall and into the Secret Spring.

?There, climb up the Falls and into the Catfish Cove. Find the correct bucket, and open the door to the Shriiiiine? of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Elephant?s Cave. Find the peanut and feed the correct elephant, which will allow you into the Wildebeests' Hideout?where you can grab the Iron Helmet of Richard the Third. Turn the correct horn, and run across the Walk of Faith. Then, pass through the Room of the Tropicana Birds, race down the stairs, and back through the temple gates. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won two pendants in the temple games. Who's going first??

?I am!? shouts Lacey.

?Very well, Lacey!? replies Olmec. ?When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the temple, and make your way towards the Iron Helmet. Hidden inside the temple are temple guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken out of the temple... and it will be Dean?s turn to enter and try his luck. If you can reach the Iron Helmet, all the doors of the temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. Return through the gates with The Iron Helmet of Richard the Third in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded?and here's how!?

Dee reads the team?s prizes:
?   For just going into the temple, you?ll receive this iPod Shuffle! It?s compact, colorful, and can hold up to 4GB of songs. Voice-over tells you the song that you?re listening to! It?s the world?s smallest talking media player, from Apple!
?   If you can grab the Iron Helmet before three minutes is up, you?ll also receive a Springfree a Diamondback bike! This all-terrain mountain bicycle come with a lightweight aluminum body and 24 speed combinations. From Diamondback.
?   And if you can bring the Iron Helmet out of the temple before three minutes is up, you?ll both be going to Busch Gardens! Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, Florida, featuring dazzling scenery and the tallest, steepest, and scariest roller coaster on the east coast?Sheikra! From Anheiser-Busch Entertainment!

?Busch Gardens sounds like a lot of fun,? comments Kirk, ?let?s see if we can get them there! Let?s get in position?mouthpieces in, ?cause you never know when you?re gonna go. Let?s put three minutes on the clock!?

The clock slams down in the corner of the screen. ?Olmec,? says Kirk, ?lower your gate.? The gate lowers as Olmec moans and the lights around him switch off. ?On your marks, get set? GO!?

?There goes Lacey, up into the Temple!? says Kirk, beginning his play-by-play as Lacey heads up the front steps and runs behind Olmec, sliding down into the Tiger?s Den. ?She?s going down into the Tiger?s Den,? commentates Kirk as she makes her way through the rockwork. She almost makes it to the exit, but something tugs at her legs? ?TEMPLE GUARD!? shouts Kirk as a temple guard appears in the bowels of the room. Lacey is startled, but stretches out her hand and gives the guard her pendant of life before hitting the actuator and heading into the Vine Drop. [2:40] ?Now she?s got to get the right vine, pull on it, and then raise the rock slab,? explains Kirk. Lacey moves through the room from right to left, tugging each vine as she moves across the rock floor of the room. The third vine she pulls sinks down immediately, and a bamboo contraption in the room raises the rock slab. Lacey hits the actuator revealed, and opens the door to the Treasury of the Monkeys. She then climbs over the ledge and crawls into the room. [2:22] ?Now she?s in the Room of the Treasury of the Monkeys!? says Kirk, misnaming the room. ?There, she has to find the correct bunch of bananas and then put it on the table.? Lacey climbs up the ladder, grabbing two bunches of bananas. She places one on the altar, and then the second a few seconds after. Immediately, the lights go out and the altar glows neon green as a panel above her flips down with 2:05 remaining.

?She?s going up into the Anaconda?s Sanctuary now!? comments Kirk as Lacey makes her way up the ladder, appearing in the Anaconda?s Sanctuary. She walks to the front of the room, grabs the snake, and then begins to slide it into the hole in the rockwork on the left side of the room first. ?Will it be the one?? asks Kirk. ?No, she?s gotta go try the other one.? Lacey pulls out the snake, and then feeds it into the hole on the right side of the room. [1:44] The doors finally open, and Lacey begins to crawl through the tunnel leading to The Elephant?s Cave, entering the room with 1:36 left on the clock. But as soon as she sets foot in the room, the center panel flips: the elephant turns around to reveal the second TEMPLE GUARD!

?She?s out! Go, Dean!? shouts Kirk as we cut to Dean taking off into the Temple. ?He?s got to make up some time now; retrace Lacey?s steps until where she was taken out by the dreaded temple guard?? Dean makes his way through the Tiger?s Den, crawls his way down the tunnel, and then enters the Vine Drop with 1:17 remaining. He runs through the room, then climbs into the darkened Treasury and climbs up the ladder. Dean reappears in the Anaconda?s Sanctuary, then turns and heads through the crawl space. [1:03] ?He?s in the Elephant Room now!? comments Kirk as Dean?s head appears at the end of the doorway, standing up and heading in the Elephant?s Cave. ?Now he?s got to find the correct elephant?which one will it be: blue, purple, or pink?? Dean opens the first box, finding the peanut immediately. He puts it into the mouth of the rightmost elephant?colored pink?and closes it, but it flaps back open. [0:53] He grabs the peanut, and then places it in the purple elephant?s mouth. He closes the mouth of the elephant, which stays shut, and the door to the Wildebeests? Hideout slides open slowly. ?Go! Go! Up the stairs!? cheers Kirk as Dean turns around and begins running up the stairs. ?He?s in the room?grab it!? Kirk yells as Dean enters the room and takes the IRON HELMET with 44 seconds remaining. ?He?s got the Iron Helmet!? shouts Kirk as Dean races out of the room. ?All the doors are open! He just has to make it out now!? Dean arrives at the Walk of Faith, carefully crossing the creaky vine bridge to the door on the other side. [0:32] Dean runs up the steps to the Room of the Tropicana Birds, then passes through the room quickly and runs down the first set of steps to the fork behind Olmec. ?He?s gonna make it!? shouts Kirk, as Dean rounds his final corner and crosses the finish with 25 seconds to spare!

?They did it!? shouts Kirk as Lacey and Dean hug each other tightly. ?They made it out! They got it all?the iPods, the mountain bikes?they?re going to Busch Gardens! They had a great time, and I know I did too?but we?re out of time! Check us out next time for another great Legend of? the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? Kirk waves to the camera, and then the three group hug.

The credits begin to scroll as various ending scenes are shown: a first-person shot of breaking down the wall in the Falls, the audience cheering by the Moat, and various items of scenery around the set. Finally, the camera fades out, and the light bulb-Nickelodeon logo is shown as an electric buzzing noise is heard.

In 1995, Legends aired an episode called "The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza". 14 years later in 2009, when this episode was aired, I was instantly reminded of the former.

This was the first S2 L5 episode, and it started off with a good Moat crossing - reminded me of Wipeout in a way, with big spinning logs. Holding on to vines hanging over the log, players had to cross the spinning log by walking sideways along it quick enough as they would lose their footing if they stood still. The Purple Parrots were the source of hilarity in the crossing, though - the girl on the Purple Parrots was completely thrown off the log like she was at the end of a conveyor belt, and hit the water with a massive splash. Needless to say, she did not advance, but the Red Jaguars, Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas, and Silver Snakes moved on to the Steps of Knowledge. The legend revolved around Richard the Third, King of England from 1483 to 1485, his time in the Battle of Bosworth (which I later discovered was actually named The Battle of Bosworth Field), and his betrayal by Thomas Stanley. The Steps of Knowledge, however, were completely dominated by Red and Green, and they both ended up in the Temple Games after the minimal number of questions.

The Red Jaguars were made up of basketball player Alex and future doctor Rebecca. The Green Monkeys were made up of two short, small-sized players that screamed Sforza when I saw them: Dean, who wanted to be a marine biologist, and Lacey... who I want to say was the original Lacey's daughter, because she had the same small face with long brown hair, and she was also a swimmer. Either way, the Temple Games were awfully one-sided. The first was an obstacle course of three parts which players ran through, and at the checkpoints, there was a helmet to pick up. The Green Monkeys got all three helmets past the finish line first, and won. The second game was the cannon game seen before in "The Stolen Shovel of Erik the Red" - and I hereby declare it is a horrible idea to put girls into this game. Rebecca's shrieks were those of a stereotypical teenage girl, as high-pitched and ear-piercing as imaginable. Lacey won over Rebecca 4-1, winning another half-pendant. And finally, the third game was the classic "shoot the soldiers" game, where teams used slingshots to fire cannonballs at four statues on a ledge. The Green Monkeys once again won, going to Olmec's Temple with two pendants.

The Temple Run design was fairly simple, though confusing to watch with all its backtracking. Lacey started off in the Tiger's Den, where she immediately met the first temple guard. She then passed through the Vine Drop and headed up from the Treasury of the Monkeys into the Anaconda's Sanctuary. I was half-expecting a dead-end in this room, but surprisingly, the door to the Elephant's Cave opened, and Lacey headed in that direction... but was caught by a second temple guard with roughly 1:30 on the clock. Dean was fairly speedy and was able to catch-up to Lacey's progress with a minute to spare. He went up to the Wildebeests' Hideout and grabbed the Iron Helmet, taking the high road - the only practical way at this point - out of the temple, recording a victory with 25 seconds left. With the players, the similar temple design, and fact that, however lucky a break the team got, you still can't help but love the Temple Run, makes this officially the reincarnation of the original show's "The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza". It was sort of strange in a way, but I liked it. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" />

Call me self-absorbed, but I actually thought of one of my own episodes during the Temple Run as well. :)
