The camera makes its way through lush greenery, and the palms move away as ambient animal noises are heard. Portions of a temple are shown, and suddenly the jungle ends, and we see Olmec?s face light up and shout, ?LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE!?

The show?s title card?a pendant of life?crashes together on the screen, and the camera shifts to focus on the temple and its rooms. ?With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!?

The pendant splinters and Kirk is seen crawling out of the Jungle Crevice to run right into the center of the stage and up the Steps of Knowledge as he begins his narration.

?Thank you, thank you!? says Kirk. ?It's nice to see you! Thank you, Olmec. Welcome to the Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we going to hear about today??

Olmec replies, ?The Legend of The Silk Sari of the Muhammad Jinnah!?

?Ooh, the Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah!? says Kirk. ?Well, one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the sari?will it be The Red Jaguars??

At this point, the camera focuses on each team as they are introduced.

?The Blue Barracudas??
?The Green Monkeys??
?The Orange Iguanas??
?The Purple Parrots??
?Or the Silver Snakes??

?They?re going to have to pass some tough mental and physical tests,? continues Kirk, ?and in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec?s temple, but first they have to cross the moat, and Olmec?s gonna tell us how they have to do it today.?

Olmec instructs:
?Before you lie the remains of a old railroad line. When Kirk gives the signal, step onto the bar while your partner stands on the opposite, then lock hands and lean on each other, and walk along the bars. But be sure to keep your balance?if you fall into the water, you must both go back and start again. When you reach the other side, run over and hit the gong!?

Kirk hits the Silver Snakes? gong to demonstrate, which?in turn?lights up a bright silver.

?The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round,? finishes Olmec. ?All right, teams!? yells Kirk. ?Are you ready??

The teams excitedly reply, ?Yeeaahhhh!?

Kirk then asks, ?Olmec, are you ready??

?Oh, yeah!?  booms Olmec.

?Ho-kay, Mr. Olmec,? laughs Kirk. ?On your marks, get set? GO!?

All twelve players step onto their bars. The Red Jaguars and the Orange Iguanas make a smart move by holding on to each other before moving out onto the railway tracks and soon pull ahead after the other teams, trembling and trying to hold on as they step slowly sideways. ?The trick to this one,? explains Kirk, ?is so that when you lean against each other, you can balance?but you?ve got to be careful not to put too much weight on one of you!? The girl on the Green Monkeys falls backward, and her partner falls between the railway tracks, and have to go back. ?The Red Jaguars are coming up fast!? comments Kirk, as the Red Jaguars reach the end and hit their gong. ?We?re still looking for three more teams, though?? The Orange Iguanas and Silver Snakes are the next two to finish, banging down on their moss-covered buttons at about the same time. Meanwhile, the Purple Parrots collapse into the water in the same direction?the girl falling RIGHT on top of her partner as they splash into the misty water?and the Blue Barracudas go ahead.

We see a long shot of the Moat, the fog on the surface of the water dissipating as the Purple Parrots are seen beginning again, and the Blue Barracudas about halfway across the Moat. ?Oh, Green Monkeys lost their balance again!? shouts Kirk as the girl on the Green Monkeys falls between the rails. ?Who?s gonna be our fourth team?? Kirk asks as the Blue Barracudas nearly reach the end. ?It looks like it may be the Blue Barracudas?? The Blue Barracudas finally step off onto the deck, mist completely gone from the Moat, and finally hit their gong to end the round. ?OK, we?ve got our four teams!? shouts Kirk, sounding exhausted.

Kirk is seen standing next to the Silver Snakes. ?Whoo, that was tiring!? he sighs, ?but going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Silver Snakes?and the Orange Iguanas?and the Blue Barracudas?and the Red Jaguars.?

?The Green Monkeys and the Purple Parrots gave it a great effort,? he says. ?They?re not going away empty handed?we?ve got a great gift for them, and here?s what it is.?

Post by: The Bamboo Forest on July 23, 2010, 04:40:41 AM
The screen transitions to a shot of the four teams atop the Steps of Knowledge. ?As the quest continues,? says Kirk, ?it?s now time for Olmec to tell us about The Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah. But teams?pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec?s temple.?

Olmec narrates the legend:
?One of the most famous politicians was Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He was born in India, and became the founder of Pakistan. In 1892, when Jinnah was 16, he was about to get married to his first cousin, Emibai. But legend has it, although his mother wanted the marriage to happen, Jinnah did not.

??Jin!? nagged his mother. ?Hurry up and get dressed?it?s time to go meet your future wife!?

??What?s the point, mom?? replied a young Jinnah sarcastically. ?I barely know this girl, and anyway? you know I like Daya??

??You?re going to marry Emibai, and you?ll like her!? his mother insisted, coming up to get him. ?And clean your room!?

?And when Muhammad Jinnah met Emibai, it was love at first sight. They married just days before Jinnah went off to England to work, and he gave his newlywed wife a beautiful silk sari. A few months later, Emibai died, and when Jinnah returned, he was heartbroken. He eventually got married again years later, but he kept Emibai?s silk sari to remember her by. Years later, the sari made its way to the temple. Your task is to find the Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah and bring it back here.?

?Thank you, Olmec,? says Kirk after a short pause, ?so tell everyone?where?s the Sari??

?The Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah can be found in the Anaconda?s Sanctuary!? says Olmec, as the camera zooms in on the sari hanging over the front bar where the snake should be.

?OK,? replies Kirk. ?Teams?you are now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec?s gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you?re right, you?ll move down to the next level, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I?m gonna have to give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams that make it to the bottom level?? Kirk runs down the steps, then walks out of view ??will be one step closer to Olmec?s temple. Olmec, we?re now ready for your first question??

Olmec asks: ?Was Muhammad Jinnah?Indian, English??

The Red Jaguars quickly ring in: ?Indian!?

?That is correct,? declares Olmec. ?Step down, Red Jaguars!? says Kirk in response, as the Red Jaguars move down to the second step down. ?Next question.?

Olmec asks: ?Is India located on the continent of?Africa, Asia, or Antarctica??

The Orange Iguanas  hit their marking: ?Asia!?

?That is correct,? replies Olmec. ?All right, step down, Orange Iguanas!? says Kirk. ?Now it?s tied up between the Red Jaguars and the Orange Iguanas. We?ve still got plenty of time in this match, though. Next question.?

Olmec asks: ?Did Muhammad Jinnah get married when he was?15, 16, or 25??

The Blue Barracudas ring in: ?15??

?Incorrect,? says Olmec.

The Orange Iguanas stomp down: ?16??

?That is correct,? announces Olmec. ?OK, you can come on down, Orange Iguanas!? replies Kirk as the Orange Iguanas move down a step. ?Now they?re just one step away from the temple games. Olmec, next question.?

Olmec asks: ?What was Muhammad Jinnah?s wife?s name??

The Red Jaguars buzz in: ?Emibai??

?That is correct!? says Olmec. ?Oh, Red Jaguars and the Orange Iguanas are tied again!? comments Kirk. ?We?re still looking for our two teams, though. Who?re they gonna be? Let?s find out?Olmec, next question.?

Olmec asks: ?Is the capital of India?Mumbai, New Delhi, or??

The Red Jaguars interrupt: ?New Delhi!?

?That is correct!? shouts Olmec. ?We?ve got our first team going on to the temple games!? exclaims Kirk. ?It?s the Red Jaguars. We?re still looking for another team, though?who?s it gonna be? Let?s have another question, Olmec??

Olmec asks: ?Is a sari?a bracelet, an article of clothing??

The Blue Barracudas stomp down: ?A bracelet??

?Incorrect,? replies Olmec.

The Orange Iguanas ring in: ?An article of coth?clothing??

?Come on down!? booms Olmec. Kirk runs over to the bottom step and excitedly. ?You are the first four contestants in the Temple Games!? he says excitedly, ?and we?ll see what happens from there. Blue Barracudas, Silver Snakes? come on down here, you guys gave it a great effort as well?here?s what we?ve got for you!?

Dee reads the prize:
?Skechers Footwear?makers of fun, exciting, cool shoes, sneakers, and boots. Skechers?it?s the ?S?!?

The screen wipes to reveal Kirk with his hands on the two remaining teams? shoulders. ?These two teams are gonna be playing for the rights to enter Olmec?s temple,? announces Kirk, ?and they?re gonna do it?right after this!? The camera backs out, twisting its way around the air of the set until it reaches a shot of half of the temple and half of the Moat, with the Temple Games floor in the center. Two halves of a pendant form the show logo by crashing together, and the screen fades out.

The titlecard splits, we zoom out from the stone monkey statue next to the unlit green gong, and then we fade to Kirk and the two teams.

?Welcome back to Legends,? says Kirk, standing in front of The Jungle Crevice with the two remaining teams. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest? so before we get started, let?s meet our teams. On the Red Jaguars, we have David. Now, you collect CDs, is that right??

?Yeah,? replies the tall boy with the long blond hair. ?How many do you have?? Kirk then asks.

?I?ve got about a hundred and fifty,? David says, ?and they?re all, uh, rock music.?

?You?re gonna like Mr. Olmec Rose behind me then,? laughs Kirk, ?but, heh, that?s another story? oh, OK? ha? and we, uh, also have Jennifer?you?re a soccer player, am I right??

?Yeah,? says David?s shorter, but also blond-haired, partner. ?I?ve been playing for about eight years now.?

?All right, sounds good, let?s hear it for the Red Jaguars!? shouts Kirk. The audience claps and cheers for the team, and moves over to the chestnut-color-haired boy on the Orange Iguanas. ?And over here on the Orange Iguanas, we?ve got Bruce. Now, Bruce, I understand you?re a guitarist??

Bruce nods. ?I?ve been playing for six years on acoustic, and about two and a half years on electric.?

?Do you have a favorite song?? Kirk asks. ?Mm, no not really,? replies Bruce.

?OK, sounds good,? says Kirk in response. ?And your partner?s pretty special?she?s come here all the way from Hong Kong, Nickelodeon Asia brought her here, her name is Tina?welcome to America!?

?Thanks,? says Tina, a girl with long black hair.

?So,? says Kirk, ?can you say Legends of the Hidden Temple in Cantonese??

She shakes her head, giggling. ?No?? asks Kirk, acting disappointed. ?Fine, all right, let?s hear it for Tina and Bruce on the Orange Iguanas!? The audience cheers once again, this time for the Orange Iguanas.

?All right, boys can go get ready for the first temple game, and girls can go get ready for the second?? Kirk says, ?and I?ll explain what?s gonna happen, here.? The players all walk off in different directions before Kirk continues talking.

?In the temple games, teams are competing for pendants of life?? Kirk grabs a pendant out of his pouch and holds it up to the camera. ?The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards, as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games?Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec explains:
?Muhammad Jinnah was from India, a country covered with mountainous terrain, and bordered by the Himalayas. Today, you?ll need to make a trade trip across the Himalayas to China. When Kirk gives the signal, grab a sack of jewels and cross the teeter-totter. When you reach the other side, exchange your jewels with a bag of silk, then come back and put it in your bin. The first player to make eight exchanges, or the team that?s further along at the end of 60 seconds wins.?

?Let?s make the trade!? Kirk says, running out of view of the camera. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock!?

The clock appears in the corner of the screen, banging down into it. ?On your marks, get set, GO!? The teams launch into action, Bruce taking a lead at first, but tripping and falling sideways into the pit of foam blocks. ?WHOA!? exclaims Kirk. ?You?re gonna wanna slow down a little to get your balance, and then make the trade.? The Red Jaguars pull ahead as the result of the Orange Iguanas? mistake, and David seems to be keeping the lead well. [0:37] As he runs with his third bag of jewels across the teeter-totter, he stumbles and ends up slowing down, giving Bruce a chance to catch up. ?Oh, the Red Jaguars are coming back!? comments Kirk, as the game becomes a neck-and-neck match again. As the last few seconds tick down, Bruce makes his best effort to keep the score tied, making a dive with five seconds left to score another bag of silk before the clock explodes and time runs out.

?Nice dive!? comments Kirk, as he runs back into view. ?Let?s get these boys over here, and let?s count go to our spotters for the scores.?

Kirk converses with the spotters briefly, then makes his announcement. ?It?s a tie?both teams made five exchanges, so they each get the half pendant of life! Our next temple game is also worth a half a pendant?Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec narrates:
?After Muhammad Jinnah married Emibai, he had to travel from India to England to work. Before you lies the ocean between India and England, and your job is to cross it first. When Kirk gives the signal, cross the water using the stepping stones?but be careful; if you fall into the water, you must go back and start again. The first player to land both feet on the opposite deck wins.

?I didn?t know oceans had stepping stones,? says Kirk, frowning at the camera. ?OK, teams?on your marks, get set, GO!?

?Off they go, across the water!? Kirk commentates as the two girls begin to splish-splash their way across, stepping on the large shaky stones. ?They?re doing a great job balancing so far, but it?s a really close race now!? Both Jennifer and Tina cross the water, putting just one foot on each stone as they move forward, holding their hands out sideways for balance. Within seconds, both players have reached the other side?and they finish so close that a winner cannot be seen!

?That?s it!? shouts Kirk. ?That was too close to call, let?s go to the judges? yeah, come on down here, girls? and our judges say that the Orange Iguanas got across first?good job, Tina?and that gives them a half pendant of life!? The audience cheers as both Tina and Jennifer clap.

?So we have a pendant for the Orange,? continues Kirk, ?and a half for the Red?we?re going into our third and final game; it?s worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec continues:
?Muhammad Jinnah was well-known for separating Pakistan from India. Today, you?re going to be recreating the moment. One team has their hands strapped to the representation of India, the other to the representation of Pakistan. When Kirk gives the signal, pull the wooden block towards your finish line. The first team to cross their finish line, or the team that?s further along at the end of 60 seconds wins.

?This is for the temple!? announces Kirk. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock!?

The clock slams down into the corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set? GO!? The two teams start dragging their color block of wood in opposite directions. ?This is hard work!? comments Kirk as the players continue to drag their ?countries? in their directions. ?They?ve got to work together and get those countries to their side.? [0:46] With a ton of time left, the Red Jaguars are almost at the finish line, the Orange Iguanas lagging behind. ?Red Jaguars look like they could do it!? Kirk shouts. With 33 seconds left, the Red Jaguars successfully cross the finish line to end the game.

?That?s all!? yells Kirk, running over to the Red Jaguars. ?Stop right there, that?s it. Come on over here, Orange Iguanas? come on over? The Red Jaguars got to the finish line first, so they get the full pendant! That gives them one-and-a-half pendants, the Orange had one? The Red Jaguars are going to the temple!? David and Jennifer jump up and down and hug in celebration as the audience?and the Orange Iguanas?cheer for them.

?Great job!? praises Kirk. ?Bruce, Tina? you guys gave it a great effort, thanks for coming here all the way from Hong Kong, Tina, we hope you enjoyed your time?we?re gonna give you something to take home, and here?s what it is??

Dee reads the prize:
?It?s a sports package from Regent Sports! Whether it?s volleyball, soccer, badminton, basketball, or baseball, Regent is the name in games.?

?We?ll see if the Red Jaguars can make it through Olmec?s temple,? Kirk then says, ?right after this!? The camera pans across the temple, fades to a view of Olmec, still lit. The show?s titlecard appears, and then we fade to commercial.
Title: Wild Jungle EP: The Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah
Post by: The Bamboo Forest on July 23, 2010, 04:41:41 AM
The pendant splits, we zoom out from foliage behind the audience sections to reveal the Moat, and then we fade to Kirk with his hands on the Red Jaguars? shoulders.

?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Jennifer and David have proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter Olmec?s temple. But first, Olmec?s going to give them some information to help them retrieve The Silk Sari? of Muhammad Jinnah!?

Olmec begins his rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Tigers' Den and climbing down into the Jungle Crevice. Crawl through the pit, then race into the Treasury of the Monkeys. Find the right bunch of bananas, and you could choose to go up into the Anaconda's Sanctuary?where you can grab the Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah, or into the Grand Marsh. Open the crocodiles? mouths to find the tongue, and you might have a chance to enter The Forest? of a Thousand Dragons. Reach into the dragon?s mouths and find the key?but be careful: one of the dragons might be inhabited by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you?ll have to give up a Pendant of Life. Next, plow through the wall and into the Lion Cage.

?There, ride the elevator up into the Catfish Cove. Find the correct bucket, and open the door to the Shriiiiine? of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Vine Drop. Pull the vines to open the doors, and race up to the Wildebeests' Hideout. Turn the correct horn, and swing on the vine across the Jungle Crevice. Then, pass thru the Room of the Tropicana Birds, race down the stairs, and back through the temple gates. The choices are yours and yours alone. You won one and a half pendants in the temple games. Who's going first??

?I am!? shouts David.

?Very well, David!? replies Olmec. ?When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the temple, and make your way towards the Silk Sari. Hidden inside the temple are temple guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken out of the temple... and it will be Jennifer?s turn to enter and try her luck. Hidden inside the temple are temple g? The other half of your pendant. If you find it, and you?re carrying the other half, you will earn an extra life. If you can reach the Crown, all the doors of the temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. Return through the gates with The Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded?and here's how!?

Dee reads the team?s prizes:
?   For just going into the temple, they?ll get $250 worth of Blockbuster gift cards! Good for movies, music, snacks, and lots more from any Blockbuster rental outlet in the USA!
?   If you can grab the Silk Sari before three minutes is up, you?ll also receive an Xbox 360 package! Comes with a sleek new Xbox 360 and two new games, from Microsoft!
?   And if you can bring the Silk Sari out of the temple before three minutes is up, you?ll be going to Hawaii! You?ll spend a week on the island of Honolulu and stay at the luxurious Hotel Renew, located right next from the seaside excitement of Waikiki Beach, the Honolulu Zoo, and more! From Hotel Renew, Honolulu!

?Let?s see if we can get the Red Jaguars to Hawaii!? Kirk says excitedly. ?All right, let?s get in position?mouthpieces in, and then let?s put three minutes on the clock!?

The clock slams down into the corner of the screen. ?Olmec,? requests Kirk, ?please lower your gate.? The gate lowers as Olmec moans and the lights around him switch off. ?All right, David?on your marks, get set? GO!?

?Up goes David, into the temple!? says Kirk, beginning his play-by-play commentary as David disappears behind Olmec and reappears as we switch to a shot of the Tiger?s Den. He crawls through the ledges, making his way down deeper into the room to find the door to the Jungle Crevice. He hits the actuator, and then enters the Jungle Crevice with 2:43 remaining. ?From there, he?s got a couple of choices,? Kirk explains. ?He could keep going down to the Treasury of the Monkeys, or maybe he?ll climb up to one of the other rooms.? David stands up, wades across the room, and opens the door to the Treasury, sliding down?and taking a few foam blocks with him?into the room. But before David can make any further progress, a TEMPLE GUARD jumps out from the corner of the room, as a fitting drum-roll plays. ?Ohhh!? exclaims Kirk, as David hands the guard his pendant of life. ?That was scary! He?s given him his pendant, though, so he can move on.? He climbs up the ladder, grabs all three bunches of bananas, and then lays them on the altar all at once. Not knowing which the correct one is, the altar still lights up in a green glow as a monkey?s scream is heard. [2:26] David looks up, in hopes that the door to the Anaconda?s Sanctuary opened, but moves on the other direction. ?That doors? not gonna open, so he?s gonna head on into the Marsh!? comments Kirk, as David climbs into the Grand Marsh.

[2:18] David wades through the ?swampy murk,? comments Kirk, as David goes over to the right alligator, opens its rubberized mouth, and looks for something in it. He then goes over to the left alligator, and a long pink tongue rolls out as he opens its mouth. ?Pull on it!? yells Kirk. David grabs the tongue, pulls it down, and the door to the Forest of a Thousand Dragons opens. ?All right, nice, now he?s heading into the Thousand Dragon Room!? Kirk comments, getting the room name wrong. ?He?s gotta find the key in the dragons? mouths now, if he wants to go up?? [1:58] David pulls open the mouth of a brick-red dragon in the back-right corner of the room, trying to search for the key. Unsuccessful, he moves to a midnight blue colored dragon in middle of the room. ?It?s difficult, that Forest of the Dragons!? Kirk explains, as David tries one of the dragons lying in the front of the room. After trying a fourth dragon, he finally gives up and bursts through the wall, which collapses immediately. But, with 1:31 remaining, a TEMPLE GUARD jumps out from a trapdoor in the back of the room and takes him out of the room.

?Oh, David?s out?go, Jennifer!? Kirk shouts as we switch to a shot of Jennifer starting to enter the temple, running up the stairs and sliding down into the Tiger?s Den. ?She?s got to make up a lot of time if she wants to get to that Lion Cage, where David was taken out by a dreaded temple guard,? continues Kirk as Jennifer enters the Jungle Crevice. [1:14] She wades across the pit, slides down into the Treasury of the Monkeys, then stands up and jogs across the room to the entrance of the Grand Marsh. ?GO JENNIFER!? cheers David, eagerly yelling beside Kirk. Jennifer enters the Forest of a Thousand Dragons, then enters the Lion Cage. [0:42] ?Is she gonna take the elevator?? Kirk asks, right as Jennifer opens up the cage door and enters the elevator. The elevator slowly climbs its way to the second floor of the temple, creaking noises continuously sounding as the elevator moves. She gets out of the elevator with 23 seconds left, and begins searching around in the buckets for something. ?Grab the fish!? Kirk shouts. ?Grab the fish from the back!? After about five seconds, Jennifer turns around and unhooks a fish from the back of the room. [0:12] She places the fish in the stage-leftmost bucket, expecting something to happen. When she realizes the door has not opened, she heads to the back of the room to take another fish?but we?re out of time!

?Ohh,? groans Kirk. ?Time?s up, that?s too bad? You guys did a great job, they?re still going away with the Blockbuster stuff. We had a great time, but we?re out of time! See you next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple?the Wild Jungle way!? Kirk waves to the camera goodbye.

The credits begin to scroll as various ending scenes are shown: the Silk Sari lying on the front ledge of the Anaconda?s Sanctuary, foliage between the Tiger?s Den and Olmec, and some random stone markers lying in plants beside the Moat. Finally, the camera fades out, and the light bulb-Nickelodeon logo is shown as an electric buzzing noise is heard.
Title: Wild Jungle EP: The Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah
Post by: The Bamboo Forest on July 23, 2010, 06:01:38 AM
Artifact Name: The Silk Sari of Muhammad Jinnah
Location: The Anaconda's Sanctuary
Result: Ran Out of Time
Time Remaining: N/A
Pendants Won: 1.5

An interesting episode, to say the least. The Moat crossing was fairly long, about two minutes long post-editing, and the mist machines turned off by the time the Moat crossing was over. The crossing involved a lot of trust between the teammates, a good thing to see on the show. The Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas, Orange Iguanas, and Silver Snakes all advanced to the Steps of Knowledge. The legend was about Muhammad Jinnah, the Indian-born politician who later founded Pakistan, and his marriage to his first wife, Emibai. The Steps of Knowledge were pretty much over quickly, with the Red Jaguars and Orange Iguanas advancing.

Kirk almost lost his composure during the pre-game interviews, when David mentioned that he had a collection of rock CDs. Kirk then broke out in laughter, saying that he "would like Mr. Olmec Rose", most likely a reference to the time when Olmec sang a line from "Garden of Eden" by Guns N' Roses (still the funniest moment on the show, IMO ). Either way, this was an episode that featured a player from a different country (Tina of the Orange Iguanas, from Hong Kong), something that wasn't too common on the show (I do recall a few more international contestants in the second season, though). The temple games were pretty close, the first being a tie, the Orange Iguanas winning the second, and the Red Jaguars taking the lead back in the third - a game where players pulled along gigantic sheets of plywood representing countries - and went to the temple.

David was a fairly good frontrunner, and he was calm when he was caught by the temple guard in the Treasury of the Monkeys. He did make good progress, until he was faced with The Forest of the Thousand Dragons, hands down the most challenging room of the season. After searching five of the dragon mouths, he finally gave up, having wasted a fairly large chunk of time, and busted through the wall, where he was caught by a temple guard in the Lion Cage with a minute and a half left. Needless to say, by the time Jennifer, clearly not as quick as David, caught up to where David left off, there was less than a minute left, and she chose the sluggish elevator instead of the smarter option of the Shrine ladder. Time ran out as she was completing the Catfish Cove's objective.

Trivia and Records
There was a very large time lapse during the temple games. After the second game, we cut to Olmec's explanation of the third, and after we see the actual game, all the props have been removed, and the entire Temple Games floor was empty aside from the colored finish lines pasted down on the floor for the third game. This is, I believe, the first time there has ever been significant editing used for the Temple Games.

Do I spy a little Kirk-Olmec banter here and there? :P I'm also glad I'm not the only one who thought of a scenario where the Temple Games arena had to be cleared and refilled during the same round? in fact, I just finished writing an episode with the same situation. :P

Eh, one of the flubs was a mistake, to be honest. But the rest were intentional, I swear.
