Welcome to Rate the Artifact! I made a topic like this a while ago, but it never panned out and I accidentally deleted it before bringing it back to life. I want to try the same thing again now that some people have showed some interest. And since a couple of my topics are almost finished, I felt that it is a perfect time to host it again.

First up is John Henry's Lost Hammer:

I gave the Lost Hammer a 4. Most of the artifacts in Season 1 had a lame design and looked like some crap they found on the production set. All the Lost Hammer was just a tiny hammer. However, if you research John Henry, you will find out that he is usually depicted with a hammer of some sort. So the producers got that part right. So the artifact is pretty relevant to its historical figure, unlike most legends. Lame artifact, but an interesting legend.

And I also gave this artifact a 4. It was just about as lame as artifacts could get, and it just looked like a poor man's version of the Thornwood Gavel. Plus, you can totally see the Golden Jaguar in the background. Coincidentally another Golden Idol/Treasure Room area artifact.

Also, Lost Hammer and Golden Jaguar were the only artifacts located in that room space for the entire Season 1.    And the artifact is very similar to Thornwood Gavel. Although the Thornwood Gavel was a little bigger and actually looked like an actual gavel.

And I am going to try something different this time. If someone wants to request an artifact to rate for the next day, feel free to do so.    Otherwise, I am going to randomly pick them with a list generator. They will all be covered eventually.

I was just gonna say that too, about both the Golden Jaguar and Lost Hammer being the only artifacts in that room space in Season 1. And if the Thornwood Gavel was actually an artifact from Season 1, that's probably what it would look like. Because you know how cheap Season 1 was with their artifacts. Like you said, at least the Thornwood Gavel actually looked like an actual gavel.

And if I might make a request, let's rate The Stolen Arm of Shiva next. I know lame choice, but if I remember correctly, that was the first artifact you covered in your original topic of this. So why not?

I gave the hammer a 4. It looks like a hammer. Definitely relates well to the legend. Not overwhelming. I appreciate it for the rare use of that room space for artifacts in Season 1.

I am definitely going to do Shiva next since that was the original artifact we rated.  Although it was pretty lame like most Season 1 artifacts. And I like how the Lost Hammer looks like a mallet instead of a hammer. Although it looks similar to the one John Henry carries, but much smaller. So I can let that slide.

Also, wasn't The Lily Crested Crown of Clovis the First covered early on too in the original topic? We should cover that artifact soon too. I know these aren't exactly the best choices, but we should still keep the thread consistent with the original thread. Even if we never made it that far.

Next up is "The Stolen Arm of Shiva":

I gave Shiva a 3. This artifact is lame and uninspiring. All it was just a broken off arm that belonged to a statue. It looked like the artifact was stolen off a mannequin though. Probably some dumb prop the producers found laying around and decided to make a legend out of it. The one thing I remember though is how the Stolen Arm moved during the temple run. That was kind of interesting. Other than that, it was lame and nothing special.

I gave the Stolen Arm a 4. It was a lame artifact for sure, but much better than most of the other Season 1 artifacts.

At least they didn't use the arms that they used in the temple game for the artifact. The ones in the temple game were some flat wooden arms.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't use something THAT small. The producers standards aren't that low.
