The Temple Games / Legends Temple Rooms Hurt/Heal game

I don't know if we ever had a Hurt/Heal game for temple rooms, but I want to give it a try.

This game is similar to the team hurt/heal game, but with a little bit of different rules.

Rules:
1.) You can two different rooms and heal two different room every hour. You MUST split your votes though when you are hurting and healing a temple room.
2.) Since this is a long list, you can place your vote every hour. And you don't have to wait for someone else to vote in between that time.
3.) Every room starts off with 5 points. Once they reach 0 points, then they are removed from the list.
4.) You don't have to copy and paste the list in every post. I will try and update the list 2-3 times a page.
5.) We will rank the final 10 remaining rooms

The Heart Room / Best artifact names on the show?

What were some of the best artifact names on the show? We talk about the best looking artifacts all the time, but I want to hear what names you liked for some of the artifacts. There was definitely some strange artifacts on the show. Here are the best artifact names or episode titles in my opinion:

- John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine - I don't know why, but just looking at the title tells me it will be an awesome episode. I kind of liked how Season 1 laid out their episode titles.

- The Lost Love Letter of Captain John Smith - I like how the beginning letter for the artifact all starts with L.

- The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Appleseed - Even though the artifact is just a silly (and cheap) hat, the name sounds pretty cool and I like how it kind of rhymes.

- The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe - Even if the artifact title is way too long, I like how they used a lot words to describe the artifact. It is not overdoing unlike another certain episode. *Cough Battle Flag cough*

- The Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl - The name tells you a lot about the Portrait. I mean a portrait that is priceless? It must mean a lot.

- The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack - The artifact is one of the worst looking ones on the show, but the name of the artifact is pretty cool. And I like how the Monocle (an eye glass for one person) is meant for One-Eyed Jack.

- The Mystical Spellbook of the Imperial Wizard - I liked how they described the Spellbook as being "Mystical".

- The Good-Luck Watch of Empress Eugenie - Another episode title that tells you a lot about the artifact.

The Temple Games / Best Legends Male Player - 3 Strikes Edition

I enjoy having these games on this forum and they are always fun to play. Plus, it has been a year since we have had one of these games. I think we have enough activity now for a lot of people to vote.

And if it doesn't work out, I will just remove it.

Basically, this game is the same as the "3 Strikes" games we had in the past. We will eliminate a player by giving them a strike each team we cast a vote. Once a player is removed from the list, then they are permanently removed from it. Once we get to the remaining 20 guys, we will rank them.

Rules:
1.) You can give a strike to one player every hour. You must wait 24 hours if no one else votes between your last post though.
2.) Once a player receives three strikes, they will be removed from the list.
3.) We will rank the 20 remaining male players.
4.) There is no need to update the list in every single post, I will do it a couple of times on every page.
5.) Have fun! Please take 3 seconds to cast your vote.

The Heart Room / What does your episode "black list" look like?

We all have those episodes that give you a headache just thinking about them. They could be because the episode is so bad that that it is hard to watch, or it is an episode you have seen so many times you are sick of. So what episodes are part of your "black list"? This is a list of episodes that you never want to watch again at all. This is how mine would look:

- Alhambra (The worst ever episode ever on the show! It would be a waste of time to sit through this where nothing but suckiness is the theme)
- Golden Cricket Cage (home of one of the most undeserving temple teams and worst temple run. No thanks)
- Lucky Pig (I refuse to watch an episode where a a chubby girl walks through the temple after her partner did all the work to get there.)
- Lost Hammer (Way too disappointing to watch after the Silver Snakes did good before the temple. PRESS THE BUTTON!)
- Shiva (An unremarkable episode with incompetent players and feels non-existant. It felt like the producers should've never aired this episode and no one would miss it)
- Cracked Crown (I HATE THIS EPISODE! I have seen it 9489383048 times and I hate it more every time. Every round sucked and Kerry pisses me off.)
- Cosa Rara (The retarded legend and Jessica's unbelievably crappy performance makes my blood boil thinking about it.)
- Bifocal Monocle (Climbing was not a competency in this episode)
- Smashed Printing Plate (Want to see cheating, obnoxiousness, annoyance, and incompetency all in one episode? You have it with this one.)
- Enormous Feather (One word: Karisa)
- William Tell (SHUT THE HELL UP!)

I am probabl missing some, but these episodes I refuse to watch. >_<

The Chamber of the Sacred Markers / Worst Episode by Production Day - Day 59: Belle Boyd/Pytheas Day

Time for a new poll since we haven't had any of these for a while.

We are always talking about the best and weakest episode for each production day on the show. I figured why not hold a poll to find the best and worst episode for each production day? The premise of this topic is simple. Everyday, I will hold a poll for a certain production day and we will vote for the best and worst episode on that day. The episode with the most votes after a certain amount of time will be deemed the winner/loser.

The Heart Room / Would Joel have beaten Shaka Zulu's record if he didn't pull a Ron in his run?

We all know that the fastest win on the show was Shaka Zulu, which holds the record at 1:14. In this run though, a product error most likely happened that allowed Bobby to score the fastest win. Could have another team have beaten this record? Rewatching the Enormous Iron Nose Ring run, I forgot how Joel was making amazing time in the temple. He was one room away from the Nose Ring with 2:07 on the clock. Unfortunately, his two biggest flaws were taking a long time assembling the Silver Monkey and pulling a Ron/Tara and taking the central shaft out of the temple.

If neither of these mistakes were made, do you think Joel would've beaten Shaka Zulu's time? I definitely think it would've happened if neither of these mistakes happened. Even after pulling a Ron, Joel was still very fast exiting and finished with :56 seconds on the clock. If he stayed on the upper route, he would've won with 1:20 left on the clock. And I would've liked the Nose Ring win MUCH better than Shaka Zulu's win.

The Heart Room / Does Jeremy from Robert the Bruce deserve the criticism he gets for cheating?

In "The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce", we all know Jeremy was infamous for cheating in his temple game. You probably already know what happened, but I will briefly explained what happened. In Jeremy's temple game, he and his opponent had to jump on a trampoline and jump through a hole to reach the upper level. At one point, Jeremy tried jumping through a small space between the trampoline and hole that he was suppose to actually jump through. Well, Kirk told Jeremy that it was not allowed and made him drop back down and start over again. If this incident never happened though, Jeremy would've won the temple game for sure.

We all know that cheating is the worst thing you can do on the game show. But do you guys think that Jeremy's cheating gets blown out of proportion? I mean I see people say, "Jeremy's cheating was karma for him in the temple because he would've entered the temple with two pendants if he never cheated." I honestly think that Jeremy's cheating was just an honest mistake. I don't think he was trying to cheat his opponent because he was already leading his opponent in the temple game. I just think he thought that it was okay to jump between the small space in the temple game and didn't know better. Not to mention, Jeremy got punished for cheating also. I think people blow Jeremy's cheating way out of proportion. It might've cost him the half-pendant, but it wouldn't have done him that much good in the temple.

What do you guys think?

The Heart Room / Red Sash Temple Run - Shrine door being open intentional or production error?

One thing I never understood about the Red Sash run was that the Room of the Secret Password door was left open from the Shrine. Brandy never had to actually complete the Silver Monkey to enter that room at least. When I see people talking about this run, half of the people claim that it was left open intentionally by the producers in order to make this layout a little easier, while others claim that it was a production error. So what do you guys think it was?

I am unsure because there are arguments that could go both ways. There were a lot of tough layouts in Season 3, but most of the times the producers never left doors open for other teams. Take runs like Discarded Seal and Belle Boyd for an example. On the other hand, Brandy and Quentin's layout was pretty tough to begin with. So maybe the producers decided to be a little lenient? I want to know what you guys think. I am leaning towards it being left open intentionally to make it easier for the Red Sash team...

The Heart Room / Temple Room Rankings Thread

I wanted to try out another type of ranking thread because I enjoy doing these. This time, I want to do it for the temple rooms of the temple. The premise of this topic is same as the "Individual Rankings Thread" and "Episode Ranking Thread". Basically, I will rate a certain room with different categories and give them a score for each category. After I am done ranking each of the categories, I will average them up for an overall score. The final score will determine the final ranking of the room. One thing I don't expect is everyone to agree with these rankings. It is just a fun way to find which rooms are better than others. It is completely opinion based when we get down to it.

Here are the categories I want to rank each room by:

Name: How well does the room name fit with the objective and appearance?
Appearance: Does the appearance or theme of the room fit well with the objective and room name?
Objective and Difficulty: Was the objective too easy or difficult? Did it give contestants problems or was it flawed in anyway?
Memorable Factor: How memorable was the room in its time on the show?
Overall Score: This will be the final score with the other rounds averaged above. This is also the "conclusion" part of the room rankings.

It's been a while since we had the classic "Rating Poll". I thought it would be nice to start 2014 off with another rating poll similar to the ones that GM1 held. This time, I thought it would be interesting to hold a series where we determine the most difficult temple layouts on the show. We always talk about how easy and difficult some temple layouts are. Why not hold a rating thread to figure out the most difficult temple layouts? Just like the past rating threads, you will vote for each temple layout on a scale of 1-10. A layout with a 1 = an easy and cupcake layout while a layout with a 10 = a brutal and difficult temple layout.
