Legends Episode Ranking System - COMPLETE

[The Red Jaguars]

So I finished my review for War Fan. This episode was not as great as I remembered it to be. I guess because I have not watched it in a long time. It didn't even come close to the score that Gwalior got. I guess the only reason people talk about this episode is because of the temple run.

THE WAR FAN OF THE FORTY-SEVEN RONIN

MOAT: 7/10

To cross this moat, both players on the same team had to work together to cross the ancient floating bridge. The first player had to step out first onto the first step, then their partner could join them. Once both players get onto one step, then they must repeat this process until they reach the other side. The first four teams to make it across will get to go onto the Steps of Knowledge. This was a pretty cool moat for the very first production day of Season 3. It was one of those moats where team work was important to cross. It wasn't really exciting though even if the players didn't struggle much. The Orange Iguanas though didn't make it half-way across even after the first four teams made it across. It was your typical moat crossing.

LEGEND: 4/10

The 47 Ronin was a band of bold and cunning warriors that served as the body guard to Lord Asano. The 47 Ronin accompanied Lord Asano to visit the Shogun at the ruler of Japan's Palace. The Evil Lord Kira managed to kill Lord Asano at the Palace. Kobiyashi, the number one samurai, called the other warriors in order to find a way to get even with Lord Kira. Lord Kira was aware of the 47 Ronin though and demanded that his warriors should be doubled, his guards should be tripled, and his dental appointment should be cancelled. For two years, Lord Kira was waiting for the 47 Ronin, but they were secretly plotting their revenge. Finally, Kira assumed that the 47 Ronin gave up and let his guard down. The very next night, the 47 Ronin crept across the snow and valiantly attacked Kira's guards and found him hiding inside a bathroom. The 47 Ronin did away with Lord Kira and the Shogun decided to write their story on a War Fan. The War Fan eventually made its way to Olmec's temple.

This was a pretty unusual and confusing legend. I literally got lost with the plot of the legend. Who was Lord Kira and Kobiyashi? They just literally popped up in the legend with no backstory. I can assume that Kira was the bad guy in this story, but for what? Not only was the story confusing, but it also had the lame one-liners in it like most Season 3 episodes. This time, it was when Lord Kira told his men to "cancel his dentist appointment" when he found out the 47 Ronin was going to attack. What was the point of these silly lines anyways? They are not believable and always detract from the legend itself. This wasn't a very good legend at all, even though the War Fan actually looked pretty neat and the 47 Ronin was a good idea to talk about.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 5/10

The questions asked in this Steps were mainly ripped from the legend. I didn't find any of them to be hard at all, and they even asked the lame "Where the 47 Ronin find Lord Kira hiding" question. The one stand out moment was when the Green Monkeys and Red Jaguars both gave the same wrong answer. Other than that, this round was completely boring and was dominated mostly by the Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes.

TEMPLE GAMES: 5/10

The temple games featured the Silver Snakes facing off against the Red Jaguars. The Red Jaguars featured Joe, who liked to play baseball and collect keys, and his partner Jillion who likes to sing and collect karaoke tapes. The Silver Snakes featured Jeremy, who liked to play basketball and wanted to be a stand-up comedian, and his partner Elise who also liked basketball and horsebackriding. The temple games were slightly above average for the most part. I did enjoy how close the first game was, but the last two games involved each team barely winning. The tiebreaker too for this episode felt very questionable to me. I have seen worse temple games on the show, so this one wasn't too bad.

Temple Game #1 - Infiltrate Lord Kira's Castle

Jeremy and Joe had to infiltrate Lord Kira's Castle by dispatching of all his guards. To do this, they must jump through a hole with the use of a trampoline and throw one of Kira's guards down the hole. Once they were done, they had to move onto the next level and throw the guard down the hole again. Once the player reaches the top, they must throw the last guard down the hole and ring the gong. The first player who rings the gong will win. This was a very tight matchup, and Jeremy barely beat Joe in this temple game. The Silver Snakes earned the first half-pendant, putting them up 0.5-0 right now.

Temple Game #2 - Secret Messages in Japanese Gardens

The 47 Ronin often passed on secret messages by hiding them under rocks in Japanese gardens. In this temple game, Jillion and Elise had to tunnel under a Japanese garden and find the two correct pairs of rocks. If they found the correct pair, then they must bring it back to their team bin. If not, then they had to replace the rock with the one they found and try to find the correct pair again. The team that finds the most correct pairs of rocks after 60 seconds will win. This temple game must've been confusing because half of the rocks looked almost identical. In the end though, Elise found one pair of matching rocks and won the temple game. The Silver Snakes enter the team game with a score of 1-0.

Temple Game #3 - Double Lord Kira's Walls

In the final temple game, both players on each team had to work together in order to double the walls of Lord Kira's castle. One player was hanging down from the ceiling and their partner must throw a ring into their hand. The player on the ceiling then had to take the ring over to Lord Kira's castle. The first team that builds a tower of six rings after 60 seconds will win. The Silver Snakes had some pretty bad accuracy during this temple game, and they didn't get any rings on their tower. The Red Jaguars managed to get two of them though, and they managed to win the game 2-0. This causes the final outcome of the game to be a 1-1 tie.

The tiebreaker question asked by Olmec was, "Samurai always wore two of these weapons?". Jeremy clocked in first and answered "Swords?" before Olmec revealed any answer. The answer was correct and the Silver Snakes earn the rights to enter Olmec's temple. If you ask me though, I ind of feel like the producers were being very generous with Jeremy's answer. After all, Olmec's question asked for TWO weapons. But Jeremy only gave one answer, and he still got it correct. Season 3 was very lenient with their tiebreaker questions.

TEMPLE RUN: 6.5/10

If there was any team that got shafted bad in the temple, then it would be Jeremy and Elise during this temple run. Almost every Legends fans knows how bad these two got screwed. If you don't know, then you are just about to find out. Jeremy started off in the Crypt, where he met his very first temple guard. After knocking over the column in the Pit of the Pendulum, he was only allowed access in the Tomb of the Headless Kings. While inside the Headless Kings, Jeremy had trouble finding the skull even after pressing all of the vines. The reason he could not find it was because it was sitting on one of the Headless Kings lap. Why did this happen? I will talk more about this later. After losing quite some time in the Tomb of the Headless Kings, Jeremy makes good progress in the other rooms of the temple. In the Shrine, he has a very swift Silver Monkey completion and he is eventually forced into the Room of the Secret Password, where he is taken out of the temple.

Now, this is where the temple run gets screwed up. When Elise tries to follow Jeremy's path, she is unable to enter the Headless Kings because the door was slammed shut and would not open. According to Kirk (in a dub over), Jeremy was the one that shut the door. I guess when Jeremy was inside the Tomb of the Headless Kings, he accidentally kicked the door shut for the room. So when Elise tried to follow his path, she could not make any progress because the door would not open. She lost around 30 seconds of the clock before the producers finally got the door open for her. She only made it as far as the Room of the Secret Password before time was up.

Jeremy and Elise were very unfortunate in the temple and there production error was NOT Jeremy's fault at all. The dubbed over voice was wrong for trying to make it sound like Jeremy was the one responsible for it. Because of the faulty door, Jeremy and Elise were denied a chance at a win. I am not sure if they would've won though because Elise was kind of a slow second runner. This team deserved a second shot at the temple though and the producers should've allowed them to have one. According to an interview with Elise though, the Silver Snakes did get their second prize even though they never reached the War Fan. But still, they should've had another shot at the temple either way so they could use their whole 3 minutes to themselves. Out of all the teams that deserved a second chance on the show, Jeremy and Elise are at the top of the list.

FINAL VERDICT: 5.3/10

"War Fan" was your typical Season 3 episode and ranks among the middle pack of Legends episodes on the show. This episode does get a lot of talk among Legends fans, mostly because of the temple run. The rest of the episode was average and honestly pretty boring too. The temple run is where all the discussion for this episode lies. Jeremy and Elise got screwed really bad in the temple run and I can't believe the producers never gave them a second chance. Especially considering the production crew would be at fault for it. I would recommend this episode mostly because there isn't much bad to it. There is nothing really riveting though in this episode and the only reason to watch it is for the sake of completion and the production error during the temple run.

And it's funny how you thought War Fan was gonna get the same score as Gwalior. Besides the production error in the Tomb, where Jeremy and Elise got screwed, this episode was completely unexciting. If the Tomb door didn't get stuck shut, nobody would even remember this episode. But yeah, they should've been given another chance at the temple, even if it meant postponing their run for another day. Seriously, couldn't they have just stopped filming and then fix the faulty door? The production crew postponed Secret Battle Plan and Belshazzar, both episodes early on in their respective seasons. Couldn't they have just stopped the clock, fix the door, then let them back in the temple?

And LOL at the "cancelled dentist appointment" line. Were the writers for the legends trying to be funny or something?

I went back to watch the tiebreaker, and I believe you are right. I thought Olmec was asking for two different weapons, but I think that the answer was suppose to be "two swords". I am going to adjust that in my review.

And I definitely overestimated about how high War Fan will rank. I forgot how average the whole episode was. There was a lot of things I forgot about this episode like the lame legend and the unexciting temple games. Plus, the Silver Snakes kind of scraped by the whole episode (4th in the moat, 2nd in the Steps, one pendant in the temple games). It was just an average episode at best. And after watching the temple run again, I forgot how slow Elise was as a second runner too. I don't think this team would've won even if the production error didn't occur. Either way, the Silver Snakes should've been given a second chance. Or find a way to allow them to use all 3 minutes of the run without having time loss from production defects. Like maybe retaping that part of the run like you mentioned. And postponing the run shouldn't have been a problem either because S3 used the same layout throughout the entire season. So no one would know that the whole War Fan run was started over. It was an okay episode, but it probably ranks in the "middle pack" with the rest of the Legends episodes.

Also, I fixed the Erika -> Elise parts too. With War Fan done, we have 28 episodes left to complete. I am going to do "Montezuma" next. Since I finally get a day off tomorrow, maybe I can post it then.

Montezuma should be an interesting episode to rank. Especially for Kelly dropping the monkey over the edge. I'm guessing that will peobably rank in the mid 6 range. Maybe THAT episode will rank the same as Gwalior did.

[The Red Jaguars]

No need to wait long for a new review, because I am finally done with Montezuma.   This episode was more exciting than War Fan and I was able to sit through one sitting while doing it. It was a pretty good episode, and we know the whole story behind the temple run.  

THE JEWELED NECKLACE OF MONTEZUMA

MOAT: 7/10

This moat crossing featured the six teams crossing the moat with three floating Babylonian wheels. The first player had to step out onto the first wheel and swing with their partner out across the moat. When they reached the next wheel, both players have to move onto the second wheel before advancing for the next wheel. The first four teams to make it to the other side will get a chance at the Steps of Knowledge. This was a good and memorable moat that was used in at least one other production day (Two-Cornered Hat/Iron Mask). So this moat must've been that good. I liked the team work aspect of it also and how both players need to work together in order to move onto the next wheel. The competition wasn't too fierce though, but this was one of the better moats of Season 2.

LEGEND: 7/10

Hernan Cortez was a Spanish conquistador who was both brutal and ruthless. During the 1500's, he stumbled upon the Aztec Empire where he was greeted by Montezuma and the Aztec. Cortez never heard of the Aztec Indians or Montezuma before, but was amazed by all of the gold that they wielded. He was intrigued by their gold, so he headed to their capital city that contained many giant pyramid and temples. Suddenly, Montezuma appeared while dressed in a golden cloth and a Jeweled Necklace. Cortez was stunned by his Jeweled Necklace, and Montezuma tells him that he even has more of them. Cortez held Montezuma hostage, and would only release him for a ton of gold. Finally, the Aztec revolved and drove the Spaniards from their city. The conquistadors would later return to destroy the capital city, but the Jeweled Necklace was lost by then.

I enjoyed this legend very much because the Aztec conquest was one of my favorite history lessons while in high school. It is tragic to hear an entire civilization wiped out by outsiders. The legend that Olmec told was not so morbid though at least. It was still pretty accurate to the one that we hear in school. Of course, Legends always has to find a way to ruin their legends by adding some silly moment to it. This time, it was adding "cash register" noises to Cortez's picture when he found out that the Aztec have a lot of gold. Furthermore, this round is deducted another half point for the Jeweled Necklace for looking so lame. Seriously, it looked like some 8-year old made it.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 5/10

The Steps of Knowledge questions were literally answered by both guys on the Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas. Neither female contestant even answered a single question. The Blue Barracudas even got 3 answers straight correct! The Green Monkeys did try to answer one of the questions, but they got it wrong while the Green Monkeys boy tries to snarl at Olmec.   It was a very swift round, but the excitement was no there for me unfortunately.

TEMPLE GAMES: 6/10

The temple games featured a matchup between the Blue Barracudas and the Red Jaguars. The Blue Barracudas included Amie, who just joined her softball team and plays right center, and her partner Caspian, who was into running and track. The Red Jaguars consisted of Kelly, who was a gymnast and wanted to be in the Olympics, and her partner Kevin, who wanted to be a general in the Marines like his grandfather.  The Blue Barracudas sucked during this temple game round. 2/3 of the temple games were pretty one-sided and dominated by the Red Jaguars. I did enjoy the temple game sequence though. The "giant steps" temple game and the "zipline" temple games were rather uncommon games for Season 2. So they made this round pretty enjoyable.

Temple Game #1 - Aztec Calendars

Kelly and Amie were on a giant "Olmec Calendar" and they had to spin it in a clockwise pattern in order to earn points. When they make one complete clockwise turn, then that player will earn a point. If the player falls off, then the calendar will stop and they had to get back on again. The the calendar spins backwards, then the player will lose a point. After 60 seconds, the player with the most clockwise turns will win. Both players were pretty evenly matched during this temple game. Amy moved a little faster than Kelly, but she fell off once and gave Kelly a chance to catch up. In the end, the temple game ended in a 8-8 tie.

Temple Game #2 - Deliver Gold to Cortez

In the second temple game, Kevin and Caspian had to deliver Montezuma's gold to Hernan Cortez. To do this, both guys had grab some gold and put it into their bags and then swing out to the other side in order to deliver it to Cortez. They then had swing back to the other side to grab more gold and repeat the process. The player that delivers the most gold after 60 seconds will win. Caspian struggled very badly in this temple game and he could not swing to the other side correctly. He kept coming up short and was forced to go back to start and try again. During the final 20 seconds of the game, it looked like he wasn't even trying. Kevin had no problems though, and won the temple game with a score of 3-1;

Temple Game #3 - Aztec's Stone Pyramid

In the team game, the two teams had to work together in order to deliver the final stone of the stone pyramid. To do this, they had to climb up three giant steps and make it to the top with their piece of stone. In order to make it up the steps, the players had to work together in order to climb up each step. The first team to deliver their stone to the top of the temple will win. The Blue Barracudas struggled with this temple game because they could not get the second player up the first step. The Red Jaguars were moving along with cruise control because they had no competition with this game. Like expected, the Red Jaguars win their team game and enter Olmec's Temple with two pendants.  

TEMPLE RUN: 6/10

Kevin and Kelly made too many mistakes that cost them an easy win. This temple layout was very similar to "The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe" right down to the fact that both players could've avoided all three temple guards. Right off the bat, Kevin tried to beeline for the direct path by entering the Crypt. He met a temple guard and was forced down into the Ledges and Rock Quarry. From the Laser Light Room, he still tries to beeline for the direct path by heading up into Medusa's Lair. He is removed from that room by a temple guard wearing a head cam.

Kelly moved pretty swift while trying to follow Kevin's path. She was smart enough to avoid Medusa's Lair, which probably was a dead end like in "Iron Mask". She continued along the bottom floor and met her final temple guard in the Dark Forest. She could not find the key in the temple tree, so she plows through the stone wall and enters the Shrine with about 50 seconds left. It seems like victory is likely to happen! But don't count your chickens just yet, because Kelly is about to make one of the biggest fails on Legends. Kelly tries grabbing the Silver Monkey base and torso all it once. While placing the base down, she drops the torso over the edge. As she stands there confused for a few seconds, the torso is thrown back up to the Shrine by a "temple spirit" from the Dark Forest (most likely a stagehand though). Even after getting the Silver Monkey torso back, she still couldn't get it on the right way because it was upside-down. So the last 30 seconds of the run involved Kelly fumbling the middle piece around trying to get it to work. Time expired as she unsuccessfully failed to get the Silver Monkey together.

Despite all the flaws of this run, I still found it to be memorable and kind of exciting. We all remember this run for Kelly's mishap in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Furthermore, Kevin and Kelly were both fast players, so they weren't total lost causes. They really should've won though and the Red Jaguars could've used a respectable win. There was no reason to spend that much time in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey either. At the end of the day, I thought this run was both decent and memorable.

FINAL VERDICT: 6.2/10

"Montezuma" is a decent episode and one of the few enjoyable Red Jaguar episodes from the entire show. Despite some of the rounds being flawed, the episode still remains enjoyable and entertaining because there are some pros that balance out the cons. For example, the temple games were pretty one-sided and I felt that the Blue Barracudas were a sub-par team. At the same time though, the unique temple game sequence allows this round to be enjoyable at least. The temple run was also flawed and both players were to be blamed for the final outcome of the run. At the same time though, the temple run was memorable and entertaining. The Silver Monkey failure by Kelly is also very renowned among temple fans. I would definitely recommend this episode, even though it has it's flaws. It is definitely a memorable and enjoyable experience. [/color]

This was a good and memorable moat that was later used in at least two production days (Two-Cornered Hat/Iron Mask and Henry Morgan/Freydis).

Henry Morgan and Freydis never used that moat. They had the stacked tubes moat, two very different moats.

And I figured Montezuma would rank somewhere in the mid 6 range. Kevin and Kelly were a good team, much better than those woefully uncoordinated Blue Barracudas. My god did that Blue Barracuda boy suck at his game. He had no balance whatsoever. The temple run was alright, definitely memorable for Kelly dropping the monkey over the edge. They definitely would've won if Kevin didn't beeline for a direct path.

Overall, great review. Which episodes do you want to do next?

Yeah, the Blue Barracuda boy sucked in his temple game. I am not sure if it was because he was short or the riggers weren't giving him enough room to make it over successfully. But I was very surprised to see him struggle, especially considering since he owned in the Steps of Knowledge.

I am definitely doing Lost Logbooks next. I know that is a bizarre choice, but that is an episode where I don't see there being much to write about. Knowing me though, I will still get carried away and write a lot about such a boring and uneventful episode. IIRC, that episode is pretty weak and I don't see it breaking the 5's range. This is the last Blue Barracuda episode left also, so I guess we can wrap them up with a distasteful episode.

Guess again, John Sutter also hasn't been covered yet. And you're writing is fine. I never once had any problems with your format. At least YOU actually go into detail, something I never, ever do. But, we've already discussed this. Even for an utterly boring episode like Magellan, I'm sure you'll find something interesting to make note about. I'll probably do Lily Crested Crown next. Which really isn't better than Magellan.

Here is my completed episode review for "Lost Logbooks". This episode was very weak like expected, and finished with a low score. Jessica was also a lost cause in this episode. I forgot how bad she was during the whole episode. There is just nothing remarkable about it whatsoever. 

THE LOST LOGBOOKS OF MAGELLAN

MOAT: 5/10

For this moat, the first player had to paddle across on their log raft to the other side. When they made it to the other side, their partners then had to take the same raft and cross the same way. While doing this, the players had to stay on their bellies while paddling. The first four teams that make it across get a chance at the Steps of Knowledge. Like most Season 1 moats, this one was pretty bland. I mean paddling a small board across the moat? I am glad that the producers switched the moats up in Season 2. I will admit that the ending was kind of exciting, considering all four teams that clocked in were very close. It ended up with an average score because there was nothing great or terrible about this moat.

LEGEND: 1/10

Having traveled 3/4 of the way around the world, Ferdinand Magellan was writing in his logbook when his cabin boy knocked. The cabin boy told him that his men were waiting for him on the deck of the ship. Magellan's men wanted to return to Spain because they were aboard their ship for over 3 months and were eating rats, leather, and sawdust in order to survive. Magellan had one hand in his sword and one on his pistol and demanded that his men return back to their post. Suddenly, their ship stumbled across the Philippine Islands where they were excited to see land. Unfortunately, Magellan was killed while on the island. Magellan's men had to continue their voyage on without him. Legend has it, one of Magellan's men stole his Logbook and made its way to the temple.

What...? What did I just hear? This is by far one of the worst legends I have ever heard on the show. The story does not talk about Magellan whatsoever. All it talks about is how his men were unhappy for being on a ship and how Magellan discovered the Philippine Islands. And then two seconds later, Olmec tells us that Magellan is dead. How did Magellan die? What was so notable about Magellan that you made a legend around him? And what were the Lost Logbooks anyways? This was a sorry excuse and sad legend. It was like the producers threw this story together because they could not come up with a plot line.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 4/10

The Blue Barracudas seemed to have trouble giving answers during this Steps of Knowledge round. Jessica kept mumbling her answers and she either never completed them or gave a different answer than the one Olmec asked for. There was one point where Robert was trying to tell her an answer, but she says something completely different and is wrong. This Steps round was kind of close, but the wrong answers galore and Blue Barracudas annoying habit brings this round down. We do get a three way tie between Blue, Green, and Orange on the second to last step. The Orange Iguanas progress though to the Steps first, and the Blue Barracudas somehow manage to be the second team. 

TEMPLE GAMES: 5/10

The temple games featured a rare matchup between the Orange Iguanas and Blue Barracudas. The Orange Iguanas featured Jennifer, who was into rollerblading and singing, and Charles, who was the nose guard on his football team. Their opponents included Jessica, who also enjoyed music, and Robert, who played midfield for his soccer team. According to their temple game interviews, both Jessica and Jennifer enjoyed the SWV (Sisters with Voices) group. The temple games used for this episode were the same tired temple games that were always used in Season 1. The only real interest part about this round was the rare Orange-Blue matchup, which was the only time the Blue Barracudas beat the Orange Iguanas. The competition was bland though, so this round gets an average score.

Temple Game #1 - Spice Grab

Magellan often traded many spices while navigating the seas. In this temple game, Jessica and Jennifer had to grab spice bags from the top of a slippery slope and bring it back to their team bin. They must climb up the slippery slope while only on their knees though. The first player that grabs all FOUR bags of spices or the player furthest along after 60 seconds will win. Jennifer was able to grab two spice bags, while Jessica laid a goose egg in this temple game. On a side note, I hate how Kirk was shouting "on your knees" to both girls during this temple game. Seriously, he literally said it throughout the whole game.

Temple Game #2 - Four Corners of the Earth

One of Magellan's greatest accomplishments was that he sailed to all four corners of the Earth. In this temple game, Robert and Charles are about to do the exact same thing. Inside their team bins, there were six ships. Each player had to take a ship and place it on one of the corners of the earth. Once one of the corners had 3 ships, then they had to place another 3 ships on the other corner of the earth. The first player to get all six ships planted or the player furthest along after 60 seconds will win. Both Charles and Robert were strong contestants, but Robert was faster in getting his ships both corners. He managed to win with more than 30 seconds left on the clock.

Temple Game #3 - "The Crow's Nest"

The lookout point on a ship is called "The Crow's Nest" since it was very high up. In this temple game, the teams had to work together to clear out the crows from the Crow's Nest. One player had to jump up and grab a crow, and then bring it back down and put it into their team bin. The next player had to jump up and do the same thing. Both players had to work together in order to get a good rhythm in order to be successful, or else they could be struggling to reach the top. The player that collects the most crows after 60 seconds will win. The Blue Barracudas won with a score of 8-6. That also gives them a chance to enter Olmec's Temple with 1.5 pendants.

Season 1 had almost a dozen temple runs where it felt like there was some broken door or dead end. In this temple run, Jessica and Robert had trouble with the Room of Harmonic Convergence. Robert chose to go into the temple first, and decided to stay low which included a trip into the Room of Harmonic Convergence. Inside that room, he met a temple guard and tried every step combination possible, but no door opened. We even hear a "door unlock" sound, but nothing opens at all? With no where to go, Robert enters back into the Wall Climb and is removed from the Heart Room as he almost dodges the temple guard in that room. Jessica was a lost cause for a second runner. For no reason whatsoever, she enters the same dead end as Robert in the Harmonic Convergence and faces the same problem he did. Did she really expect that some door opened after her partner tried the same steps?

When she finally decide to follow Robert's steps, Jessica moves really slow and looks confused. In the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, it literally takes her 30+ seconds to assemble the Silver Monkey. She had the slowest Silver Monkey assembly ever on the show. -_- When she finally gets the Silver Monkey together, she is removed from the temple by a temple guard in the Pirate's Cove, with about 20 seconds left on the clock. This was a very boring and bad run in my opinion. It didn't matter if the team found the half-pendant or not, they still would've lost because Jessica was a slow and clueless second runner. She did so many things wrong that there is no way they would've won whether she went into the temple first or not. Furthermore, this run is just plain boring and unremarkable.

FINAL VERDICT: 3.6/10

"Lost Logbooks" was a very weak episode and also forgettable and boring. I don't have much to write at all about a "final conclusion" for this crap. Every round was mediocre and nothing really stands out in this episode. I guess the rare Blue-Orange matchup was kind of significant, with the Blue Barracudas winning this only time. The temple run sucked and was boring. It didn't matter if it would've ended in triple capture or not, this team would've lost. I would not recommend this episode at all. And you won't miss anything if you don't choose to watch it.

Heh, I knew Magellan would rank low. Yet another temple run that would've been better if it were reverse order of players. See, told you you'd find stuff to talk about. Bad episode, bad player, there now you know. End of story.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the whole production days for both Montezuma and Magellan are done. Updates in the "production day" ranking post are to come.

[The Red Jaguars]

Yeah, there is nothing good about Magellan. The only thing I can remember about this episode was the rare Blue-Orange matchup and Jessica's slow ass Silver Monkey assembly. Other than that, this episode is pure garbage like a certain other Blue Barracuda episode that day (*cough Amelia Earhart cough*). I am glad to get that episode done with. It was literally the weakest episode left next to William Tell.

We are down to 26 episodes now. My next episode choice is going to be Sultan Saladin. I love that episode and it is a classic. Should be fun to watch and review again.  

Edit: I also fixed the Montezuma name mistakes for the temple games section. I was unsure of Caspian's correct name spelling since his name tag was blocked by his vest. I also changed the two Brian -> Kevin mistakes. Not sure where I got that from. Maybe I mistaken his name for Brian from Two-Cornered Hat, who sort of looks like Kevin.
