Actually, I have neither Blue Pearl nor Queen Boadicea screencapped. I know you have the latter screencapped, so we can work with that. And I also don't have Silk Sash screencapped either. But if you still want to use that as a collaboration, we can. :azn:

Here is a list of episodes we can probably work on:
- Blue Pearl
- Queen Boadicea
- Anne Bonny (Depending on how far along you are on that review)
- Useless Map (This I do have screencapped)
- John Sutter (Also screencapped, saved for last)
- Silk Sash (If you're up for it)

It's up to you of course. The only thing is, I don't have the screencaps for Blue Pearl, Silk Sash, and the like. Maybe it would help if you could list (and remember for that matter), the screencaps you have, no matter how old they might be. ;)

Here are the episodes I know that I have screenshots for to cover every section of the review.

- Queen Boadicea
- Blackfeet Chief? (I might be missing some of the earlier rounds, but I do have a lot of this episode)
- Davy Crockett (same as Blackfeet Chief)
- Polynesian Girl (I think I just need some from the legend)
- Lion-Slashed Jacket? (I know I have this episode saved somewhere because I gave this video to TMH)
- Robert the Bruce

Those are episodes I know I have screenshots to cover most of the review. Some of those images might be really grainy though. :o We can definitely work on any of the reviews listed above in your post or in mine together. We could even do John Sutter last together too since it will be the final one most likely.  :mrblue:

Out of that list, the only episode where we have screencaps in common is Blackfeet Chief. I have every round screencapped there, so if there were to be an episode review done, you could use mine, just like with Catherine the Great. And if they are grainy, no big deal. Some of my screencaps are sort of the same way, those being the screencaps/videos I got from other sources besides the YouTube videos.

As for the collaboration list, here's what we can work with:
- Blue Pearl
- Queen Boadicea
- Anne Bonny (?)
- Useless Map
- Silk Sash (?)
- Blackfeet Chief
- Davy Crockett
- Polynesian Girl
- Lion-Slashed Jacket
- Robert the Bruce
- John Sutter
-

That's 12 episodes total. If you don't object to that, I'll add that to the OP. ;)

All those look good to me, except for Polynesian Girl. I can't seem to fine where I have all the images for that episode saved, and I know I have them saved somewhere too.  :? Although it wouldn't be a problem for me to get pictures for that episode from Youtube. Unless you have screencaps for that episode. ;)  :mrsilver:

Other than that, all the episodes on that list are good to work on together. Maybe we can add Missing Eye on the list too since I do remember saving pictures for that episode. With those 14 episodes covered, we only have about 10 to cover individually. So this project will be complete by the summer perhaps.  :mrpurple:

Also, I promise that Sultan Saladin will be posted tonight. I have just gotten a little sidetrack by other stuff outside this forum. But it will be posted tonight. ;) :mrsilver:

I also don't have Priceless Portrait screencapped, unfortunately. But I'll add the rest of the episodes to the OP. ;) Maybe we could replace Priceless Portrait with Missing Eye? And yeah, at the rate we're going, we might be able to finish this project/thread by this summer, if not sooner. :mrred:

EDIT: And I miscounted, there are 12 episodes we can cover, not 14. I updated my previous post to reflect that.

After promising you guys that I would post Sultan Saladin the past few nights, I finally finalized the review and is ready to be posted. Sultan Saladin is a great episode and I enjoyed rewatching it.  :mrsilver:

THE STAR OF SULTAN SALADIN

MOAT: 7/10

This production day used probably one of the most simplest moats on the show. The first player on each team had to take their ropes and swim out to the other side of the moat. Once they were there, they had to take their rope and tie it around the base of the pole. Their partners then had to cross the moat by using the two ropes without falling in. The first four teams that made it across get to move onto the Steps of Knowledge. This was a very bland moat, but the competition was really close. All four teams that hit their gong finished just a few seconds apart from each other. As a result, we had a really swift moat crossing.

LEGEND: 6/10

The two greatest warriors of the Crusade were Richard the Lionhearted of England, and Saladin, the Sultan of Egypt and Syria. At the time, Richard was attacking the city of Ankor, while Saladin was attacking Richard from behind. Eventually, Ankor surrendered, but Richard's men were too tired to fight Saladin. When the time had come for Richard and Saladin to meet face-to-face, Saladin bowed down and gave Richard his precious jewel called the "Star of Saladin". Richard accepted the gift, and Saladin and Richard signed a treaty to end their fighting. Later, the Star of Saladin was stolen from Richard when he made a trip to England.

When you hear the artifact being a "Star", you assume that this story will be about Astrology or outer space in some way. In reality, this episode was about a war between two great warriors. It was kind of cliche for a Legends story, but there was honestly nothing bad about it. It didn't have many details like most Season 1 episodes seemed to lack, but you get the idea that Sultan Saladin and Richard were great fighters at least. And I like legends that end on a positive note too. And the Star was actually a pretty cool artifact, considering it was a jewel and the design looked pretty good compared to other S1 artifacts.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 7/10

This had to be one of the most awkward Steps round on the show. First off, the Blue Barracudas were not a very smart team. One of the questions that Olmec asked was, "What was Saladin's title?" The Blue Barracudas answered "King", even though throughout his legend Olmec kept referring to him as "Sultan Saladin".  And on another question, the Blue Barracudas answered "the first one" even though Olmec wanted them to actually say the whole question. The Red Jaguars boy was equally as awkward because he gave all of his answers while putting his head down. In the end, the Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes were the only teams to get right answers during this round. While the round was filled with a couple of moronic moments, the awkwardness of it coupled with the Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes competence made this round rather entertaining. :P

TEMPLE GAMES: 7/10

The Red Jaguars featured Leslie and Tom, who were both 13 years old. Their opponents on the Silver Snakes consisted of Lea and Steve, who were also both 13 years old. This temple game round was very entertaining and close in competition too. The first and third temple games were some of the more uncommon games of Season 1, so it was nice to see them used. However, I was not a fan of the "slippery slope" temple game used in the second temple game. Both girls struggled badly to climb up the slipper slope, and it almost ended in a 0-0 tie. And this same exact problem happened in "The Helmet of Genghis Khan", which was also on the same day.  :?

Temple Game #1 - Storming Ankor

When the Crusaders attacked the city of Ankor, they had to take down the walls of the city piece-by-piece. Tom and Steve had to do the same thing during this temple game. Both players had to climb up the wall and grab a brick and place it onto their head. Once they grabbed one brick, they had to climb up again and grab another. The player that grabs all 6 bricks or the one that is furthest along after 60 seconds will win. Both Steve and Tom were fast in this temple game, but Tom knocked two of his bricks down, which disqualified him from those two bricks. Steve was able to grab more bricks, earning the Silver Snakes their first half-pendant.

Temple Game #2 - Collect Crusaders

In the second individual game, Lea and Leslie had to climb up a slippery ramp on their knees and grab one of the crusaders from the ramp. Once they grabbed a crusader, they had to climb back up and repeat the same process. They also had to remain on their knees the whole time. The player that collects the most crusaders after 60 seconds will win. Like most of the times this temple game is used, the teams seem to struggle to complete it. Both Leslie and Lea had trouble reaching any of the crusaders. Leslie grabbed her soldier with about 5 seconds on the clock. It was good enough too for the Red Jaguars to win with a low score of 1-0.

Temple Game #3 - Richard the Lionhearted vs. Sultan Saladin

In the final temple game, one of the players were strapped on the wall while their partners had to take velcro balls and throw it on their partners vest. Their partner who was strapped to the wall could move their body around in order to catch some of the balls. The player with the most balls on their vest after 60 seconds will win. Both players were accurate in throwing their balls to their partners. The end result was also very close with a final score of 11-10 in favor of the Silver Snakes. Although the Silver Snakes actually had 12 balls on their vest and Kirk missed one of the them. Luckily it didn't affect the final outcome though or else the temple games might've been a tiebreaker, or even the Red Jaguars advancing in worst case scenario.

TEMPLE RUN: 8.5/10

Many Season 1 temple runners believe that they could reach the artifact simply by taking the shortest route possible. Lea's original temple plan was to beeline all the way to the Observatory to reach the Star. Could you blame her for testing this strategy out? Season 1 contestants after all had no idea how the temple worked and there are times where the direct path actually works for the team. Despite her way too obvious strategy not working, Lea did not get sidetracked at all and continued along the temple with a good pace. She completed all her rooms swiftly and even tried all shortcuts available, most of the time with negative results. In the Tomb of the Ancient Kings, Lea's temple guard scares her so bad that she almost falls down. After gaining access to the Shrine from the Dungeon, she continues along the top floor of the temple and grabs the Star of Sultan Saladin with 53 seconds left on the clock. After passing by the Cave of Sighs temple guard she avoided, Lea brings the Star out with 29 seconds to spare! Lea's temple run was so fast that the end of the run Kirk tried to buy time by interviewing Lea and her temple experience. Lea was out of breath though and you can tell she didn't care about Kirk's petty questions. Overall, this temple run is a classic and one of the best wins of Season 1. Many people criticize Lea for having an easy layout and for taking the direct path, but at the end of the day she handled the temple quite well. Not every contestant has to move like Joel and Zac Turney in the temple. This was a great and memorable run for all the quirks, and the best solo run of Season 1.  :mrsilver:

FINAL VERDICT: 7.1/10

"Sultan Saladin" was a very memorable and strong episode. I would go far to even say that this episode would rank in the top 20 of an "All Times Legends Episode" list. There were so many good things to like about this episode, and most of the rounds were competitive and close. I also liked the awkwardness that every round of this episode purveyed. It showed you how Kirk and the other contestants were not familiar with the show very early on in the season. The temple win in this episode was also one of the best wins on the show. Lea might get a bad reputation among Legends fans, but she was a very good contestant who did little wrong in the temple. The win in general was very memorable too for the awkward Cave of Sighs guard and the long post temple run review. Overall, this was an entertaining episode and it would be a mistake to not watch this episode. Do yourself a favor and watch one of the best episodes from the very first season.  :mrsilver:

Lea is definitely a contestant who gets too much of a bad rap for taking a direct path. First of all, this was still early on in Season 1, so contestants didn't really know better. Second of all, her so called "flawed strategy" worked. She managed to avoid a temple guard by entering the Gargoyle Room first. And she managed to score the first solo victory ever on the show. :mrsilver: I also remember those Blue Barracudas on the Steps of Knowledge. Hello, just saying "the first one" isn't going to cut it for an answer. I definitely agree that this was one of the best episodes of Season 1. Lea was a great player and she deserved to win. How she gets a player ranking lower than Joe and Gabby from Golden Ship is beyond me.

Overall, great review. :mrsilver: I just can't over how masculine Lea looks from behind. She was also on "Get The Picture" too. With equally bad 80's hair.

Poor Lea suffers from the bad 90's hairstyles. :P It doesn't help that she was so tall either. Even Kirk kept calling her a "he" during her individual game. Although she is not as bad as Sabrina or Jennifer from Buddha. :P I've always loved Sultan Saladin since day one too. I never understood the "direct path" crap that Lea always got. I mean it should've been obvious for her to not take the direct path, but she also won. So why do some people hold it against her? And you are right too about her dodging a temple guard, so it helped her out in the end. This was a great episode and one of the few Silver Snake wins I actually like. And I never understood how the Golden Ship team finished with higher rankings than Lea or Jennifer (Gold Mine). I mean I didn't think that Gabby and Joe were horrible players, but Lea and Steven would've had 2:00+ minutes with their layout if it ended in triple capture.

So I guess we can start with the collaborated episodes then? ;) We could probably due Dragon Lady or Queen Boadicea first, since those are the most complete episodes I have completed. Dragon Lady needs more details for most of the rounds, while Queen Boadicea just needs details for the legends and maybe some of the other rounds. Just let me now when you want either one of them.  :mrorange:  :mrred:

Yeah, besides minor hesitations, Lea did just fine in the temple. And after she left the Wall Climb, she never got turned around again. I definitely wouldn't call her a bad player just because she *gasp* took a direct path. Like I said above, it actually worked for her. Maybe I'd understand the flak she was given if she kept trying to pull a fast one, and blew her chances at solo victory, ala Electrified Key and Montezuma.

And yes we can start the collaborations at long last. :mrorange: :mrred: I'll fill in whatever rounds you didn't cover and/or need more detail. I'll take either Queen Boadicea or Blue Pearl, whatever one you feel like sending me first. You can PM me with those. And once I'm done filling everything out, then you can post the next review. ;)

I will PM you Boadicea first then before Blue Pearl. All that episode needs is a summary for the legend and SoK. Everything else will be detailed enough, but you can always change the score if you don't agree. I will have the pictures ready for Boadicea too since I have those saved on my computer. It should finish with an interesting score.

Anne Bonny is going to be the hardest one for me to rank though, which is why I am glad you are helping me with that one. I have a hard time ranking the moat in that episode thanks to a certain somebody in my avatar. Maybe you can help me determine a score for that round in that episode because I have several in mind. Plus, I have trouble ranking the temple run too for that episode. Ron is the reason everything went wrong in that episode. -_-

Okay great, and as soon as I'm done filling everything in (all the way down to the scores), then you can post it. Shouldn't take long if you already have a lot written, and I'm filling the rest out for you. As for Anne Bonny, it shouldn't be THAT hard to rank. For starters, Ron cheated in the moat. That alone deserves a low score. Same with the temple run, since Ron blew it big time. Also, do you have screencaps for Anne Bonny? I personally don't, I'm not sure if you do though. Either way, we could probably churn out both Queen Boadicea and Blue Pearl within the next two days. It will definitely speed up the process of reviewing these episodes, and finishing this project.

And I once again updated the "Production Day" rankings. Sultan Saladin's day overall score is somewhere in the middle. I would've ranked a little higher, but Alhambra brings it down, big time.

S1L3 is actually a good production day, sans Alhambra. The other four episodes were pretty good, although Genghis Khan and Trojan Horseshoe wins were a little too simple. But they are still watchable and I don't mind them too much. Of course, Alhambra is literally the worst ranked episode and drags down that production day. Other than that, that production day wasn't too bad. ;)

Also, I PM'd you a copy of the Queen Boadicea review. The review is almost complete, but it needs a write-up for the Steps of Knowledge and Legend since that is the only part of that episode I don't remember. I also included the pictures that I have saved to my computer, so you don't need to worry about uploading anything. If you want, you can also fill out the "Final Recommendation" bit of that episode too and average up the score. Also, if you need me to add anything else, just let me know. Otherwise, I included the review and missing details in the message. ;)

Great, and I sent you everything I filled in. :mrred: The only round I didn't go into detail in was the Steps of Knowledge. I don't remember much about that round either. I even have a final score averaged in too. You can change the average too if you feel like it's too low. Feel free to post it whenever once you have finalized everything you and I wrote. ;)

Everything looks perfect to me with all the details you added. I gave you credit for the areas where you added content to the review, and I liked how you bold the changes you made. I really appreciated that. ;) I also agree with the scores you gave the other round. I gave one extra point to the Steps of Knowledge just because there were no wrong answers and for all the teams answered a question correctly. Other than that, I think we nailed the score perfectly for this episode.  :mrred:

So for our first episode review we worked together, Nate and Lissy from Boadicea are in the spotlight.  :mrred:

THE ROYAL TORQUE OF QUEEN BOADICEA

MOAT: 7/10

In this moat, the six teams had to cross by sliding on their bellies across a slippery footpath. Once they reach the other side, they had to grab onto the rope at the end of the path and pull themselves across. If they do not reach the rope or if any part of their body touches the water, they had to go back and repeat the process again. The first four teams to cross successfully will get a chance to move onto the Steps of Knowledge. This was a creative idea for a moat, and it looked pretty fun to participate in also. It also wasn't easy or complex in any way. Unfortunately, this was the type of moat where it took the last team a while to cross successfully. In this case, it took the Green Monkeys and extra minute or two to reach the other side. It was still a creative moat though with little flaws.

LEGEND: 8/10

(Credits to "Purple Parrots Fan" for her contribution to this section)

This legend centered around Boadicea, who was queen of the Iceni. At that period of time, the Iceni were ruled by Suetonius, a harsh governor. One day, Boadicea became fed up with the governor, so she gathered the Iceni together and put on her torque. They decided that they wanted to fight back with the Romans. Everyone cheered and the marched all the way towards London. By the time that they got there, they had a huge army that drove away the Romans. It was at that time that Boadicea became queen of the Britons, but the royal torque was ripped away from her during the battle. The torque eventually made its way to the temple. This was a very interesting legend. I liked how it gave some background about Boadicea, and it actually talked about how she became queen. Even the torque was spoken about at some points, albeit briefly.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 7/10

(Credits to "Purple Parrots Fan" for her contribution to this section)

The Steps of Knowledge were an average round. The Green Monkeys finished first, and the Red Jaguars followed suit not long after, finishing second. This round for the most part was uneventful, with no wrong answers given out. Each team managed to get at least one question right, but nothing else stood out.

TEMPLE GAMES: 6/10

For the second time on this production day, the temple games featured a matchup between the Red Jaguars and Green Monkeys. The Red Jaguars featured Lissy, who wanted to be a film writer and ran cross country, and her partner Nate, who was into soccer and Language Arts. The Green Monkeys featured Jeannie, who wanted to be a pro-golfer and her favorite subject was math, and her partner Chris wanted to be an Olympic swimmer and is also into math. The temple games were your typical Season 3 temple games, especially the giant spinning Olmec and boulder catching game. The Green Monkeys were a lousy team during this temple games round. The Red Jaguars were obviously the better team in all three games. Due to the lack of competition, and one sidedness, this round receives a lower score than what it deserves.

Temple Game #1 - Destroying London

In the first temple game, Nate and Chris both had four towers behind their team line. The objective of this temple game was for each guy to protect their four towers from being knocked over by their opponent. To knock over the tower, the players must use the giant boulders that are on the playing field. While trying to knock down their opponents' towers, each player also had to protect their towers from getting knocked down. The player with the most towers remaining after 60 seconds will win. Nate proved to be the stronger player during this temple game and knocked over two of Chris' towers. The Red Jaguars earn the first half-pendant for the team.

Temple Game #2 - March into London

In the second temple game, Lissy and Jeannie had to spin a giant wheel in a clockwise pattern. Once they make one full rotation, then they will earn 1 point. They had to be careful and try to stay on the giant wheel or else they will fall off. The first player to make the most rotations after 60 seconds will win. Lissy moved slow in this temple game, but she never fell off once and made 10 rotations. Jeannie moved faster, but she kept falling off herself. With Lissy's moving slow technique, the Red Jaguars won with a score of 10-8, giving them a 1-0 lead before the final temple game.

Temple Game #3 - Reinforce the City Walls

In the final temple game, one player on the team had to run out and grab a boulder and throw it over their head so their partner could catch it. Their partner then had to grab the boulder and place it into their team bin when they were done. The players had to coordinate themselves when grabbing and picking up a boulder. If they moved too early or late, then they could mess up the other player's task. The team that collects the most boulders after 60 seconds will win. The Green Monkeys SUCKED during this temple game. Their coordination was way off and Chris kept pulling Jeannie back as she tried to grab one of the boulders. The Red Jaguars worked together well and collected 4 boulders. The Red Jaguars swept the temple games 2-0 in the end, and earned a trip to Olmec's temple. :mrred:

TEMPLE RUN: 7.5/10

Nate and Lissy were probably the closest team to getting an artifact out of the temple from the bottom of the central shaft room space. Even though they came really close, it should've been a win though. Lissy was a little hesitant for a frontrunner. In the Crypt, where she met her first temple guard, she stalled a little bit when trying to pull the correct book. In the Pit of the Pendulum, she wasted some time trying to climb out of the Pit of the Pendulum. The only door that opened for them was the Chamber of the Sacred Markers. After completing the Chamber objective, she is taken out by a temple guard behind the door leading to the King's Storeroom with 2:00 minutes left on the clock. Luckily, Nate was a solid second runner and really hauled ass to complete the rooms enroute to the Tomb of the Headless Kings. He had some bad luck in some rooms like the King's Storeroom where it was the third key in the pot and the third pedestal that opened the door. In the Shrine, he met a temple guard that was right in his face and almost caused him to drop his piece of the Silver Monkey. After cleverly taking the Shrine-Dark Forest passage, he was very close to the Royal Torque. He had more bad luck in the Jester's Court though when he attempted to go to the middle painting first, but tried the very dark corner painting. Nate manages to grab the Royal Torque though with 15 seconds, and even climbs up into the Chamber in hopes of taking the high path out of the temple. Even Kirk commented on how brilliant his strategy was. Unfortunately, Nate simply did not have enough time to bring the Royal Torque out of the temple. The picture above with him looking disappointed in the Pit of the Pendulum portrays how all of these runs on the show turned out.

This was a good Red Jaguars team in the temple, and one of their very few good temple appearances. This team would've been successful if Lissy was more fast in certain rooms of the temple. 3 minutes is not enough time to hesitate and take your sweet time in every room. Other than that, this temple run was very exciting and came down to the wire. Lissy and Nate almost pulled it off, but it was still a very exciting and memorable experience in the end.

FINAL VERDICT: 7.1/10

(Credits to "Purple Parrots Fan" for her contribution to this section)

Overall, Royal Torque was one of the better Season 3 episodes, and better Red Jaguars episode altogether. The legend was the high point of this episode, as it went into great detail about Boadicea and the battles she fought. On the other hand, the temple games were a bit one sided. It was pretty obvious the Red Jaguars were gonna sweep the temple games all along. The temple run was exciting too, and a nailbiter at the end when Nate grabs the Royal Torque with time ticking down. No team has EVER been successful at bringing out a bottom central shaft artifact out of the temple. But this team came the closest. However, it probably would've helped if Lissy had moved faster in her short time in the temple. If she had picked up the speed a little bit more, this team probably would've been more successful at winning. Despite that, it is certainly an immense improvement over "The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglass," another Red Jaguars bottom central shaft temple run. All in all, I recommend this episode to anyone. :mrred:

Looking good. :mrred: A 7.1 ranking is pretty fitting for Royal Torque. It was definitely one of the better Season 3 episodes, and better Red Jaguar episodes in general. The temple run was pretty exciting too, but I do find it a bit overrated. Nate was a great player, but Lissy was too slow. If she had moved faster, they probably would've won. :azn:

Overall, everything looks great. :mrred: And feel free to send me Blue Pearl whenever you're ready. ;)
