Stumbled upon this on YouTube which included off camera moments and different angles of what we saw. Be sure to watch to the end because one of the Temple Run victories is in it (spoiler: it’s one of the best ones too)

Hey Alec, it may not be a special, but I saw Olmec in a teaser for a Paramount Plus Super Bowl ad

Of the four possible matchups I think this was the best case scenario.

Rams win it would be in front of their own fans (all 56 of them), Stafford gets his first ring after all those years suffering in Detroit.
Bengals win it’s their first title ever, Burrow completes the greatest ascension ever.

What an epic choke by Kansas City. Chiefs were up 21-3 then got aggressive near the end of the half and got stopped at the one. If only they had that timeout… All of a sudden Burrow and the Bengals score 21 unanswered and take the lead. Chiefs tie it late but could’ve easily won it had Mahomes not gotten sacked. Then Mahomes throws a rare pick and the Bengals are on their way to their first Super Bowl in 33 years.

The Bengals have been one of the biggest Cinderella Stories in recent memory. Two years ago they were the worst team in the NFL. Then Joe Burrow comes to town and out of nowhere they are going to the Super Bowl. I will be rooting for them to win the title.

The ironic part is that the Chiefs got hosed by the same OT rules 4 years ago against the evil Patriots.

Ding Dong the witch is dead! Though it wasn’t easy Brady nearly pulled off another miracle comeback (mostly due to the Rams completely imploding 4 fumble really?). Thank god that D blew coverage on Kupp to set up the game winning field goal.

That Bills-Chiefs game felt like the Super Bowl. Three touchdowns and a tying FG in the final two minutes. This is a game that will go down forever. Bills fans have to be absolutely livid over blowing that game with the number one defense letting the Chiefs go right down the field in 13 seconds after Davis had a monster game. Chiefs won the toss and won the game, the Bills never saw the ball again.

This may have been the greatest weekend ever in terms of quality of games. 4 games with the winning score on the final play with one in OT. That being said the Super Bowl will be Rams-Chiefs. I felt like whoever won Bills-Chiefs would win the Super Bowl after how the other three games went so KC will use the experience to end Cincy’s Cinderella run. The Rams will crush the 49ers because San Francisco  has gotten lucky twice now, doubt they will be lucky a third time.

Fucking special teams ruined the entire season. The 49ers are going to get destroyed by the Bucs or Rams. Doubt they will have a third team in a row completely fuck up against them.

As for the Bengals that ends the longest active streak of appearing in a conference championship! If the Bills win tomorrow then I will root for whoever wins the AFC to win the Super Bowl. Of course now that I said that watch Brady win it for an 8th time

I do find it interesting that those two haven’t gone yet. To put into perspective the Red Jaguars have only gone in twice and took advantage of both opportunities.

The 49ers have beaten us three consecutive times in the playoffs.

Anyway I have the same picks.

Now the NFC is set with the Rams demolishing the Cardinals.

What a shitty start to the playoffs. One game with a bizarre ending, one good game that Refs ended up ruining, and four blowouts. Hopefully next week is better.

Bengals Titans
49ers Packers
Rams Bucs
Bills Chiefs

Bucs prove Philly did not belong.

Lol Cowboys. Biggest self destruction ever. Can’t even get a final play off.

I was going to post mine but then the server went down yesterday.

Bengals FINALLY pulled it off and won their first playoff game in 31 years by knocking of the Raiders. It wasn’t without controversy as during one of the Bengals TD’s in the first half a ref blew a whistle while the ball was in their air which would’ve normally called the play there. The play stayed as a TD.

And perhaps the most satisfying game in perhaps forever (at least in TSM’s mind) was to see the Bills destroy the Patriots! That game felt like twenty years of anger being lashed out. They wanted to win and do so in a massive embarrassment for Belichick. Josh Allen had more TD’s than incompletions and the Bills scored on their first seven drives. The only drive they didn’t score they were in victory formation.

Say it with me everyone: FUCK THE PATRIOTS!

Now if we can get the Bucs to lose too before the Super Bowl.

So this episode I did enjoy. If I’m not mistaken this is the first time I think contestants from the original series had known each other even though they were in different seasons. It just felt destined that Nick & Josh were to go to the Temple.

The Kirk Fogg appearance was pretty special though even though it did cost a couple seconds that they might’ve needed. I do think Nick going for a direct path was more costly though. It never worked in the original series so did you really think it would work in the reboot? I will say the two were more excited about seeing Kirk for that short time than winning the $10k judging by the reactions in the interview. Also is it me or was Josh flirting too much with Cristella?

So I believe we are halfway through the season. I have mixed reception so far

What I like:
Mostly keeping the original format of the show
Olmec being voiced by Dee Bradley Baker still.
Moat and Steps of Knowledge round still pretty much the same
Temple design (this is my favorite part especially with a few homages including the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, Dark Forest, and the Pit of Despair. Also the gong in that mist room is the same from the old Moat (you can see it in the Temple Games as well)

What I do not like
The goddamn interviews, this is not a reality show.
4 teams instead of 6
The entire Temple Games and it’s format. Makes third guard useless.
The difficulty of the Temple (probably why a full minute was added). So far we’ve had one win, one artifact grab, and three fails.

Hopefully I can be impressed with the other five episodes.

In my scoring format, David & Karisa were the only team to get to the artifact and rank behind a team that didn’t get to the artifact (this team was actually Tim & Retina from the Gordian Knot episode while tying in points with the Thornwood Gavel episode). It wasn’t just their pre temple score was tied for the worst of any team to get there (Lucky Pig & Treasure Map). They only won the individual games as well. The Purple Parrots were clearly better than them and probably would’ve won this run. That’s all I need to say.
