Sultan Saladin, easily. Galileo is overrated and I don't care what anyone says. It's my opinion and no one is gonna change it.

This is a tough choice for me. I love both of these episodes and they were some of the best episodes in Season 1.  :mrsilver: Galileo is my all time favorite Silver Snakes episode though, so I am going to vote for it. It was a very entertaining and solid episode all the way through. It might not have the best production quality as later episodes, but that is part of the charm for this episode. I loved all the early quirks of this episode. From the ridiculous line about Galileo dropping the cannonballs on sandwiches to make pizza, to the temple performance by the Silver Snakes make this a fun episode. And Jammin John was a great contestant and I love the ending.  :mrsilver: Sultan Saladin was a great episode too and I enjoy it a lot. However, I just didn't find the earlier rounds as memorable as Galileo. This was close, but I love Galileo more. ;)  :mrsilver:

Quite frankly, I don't see what the problem is with Galileo. It was an excellent temple run, and that's why I voted for it. It's asking too much and exaggerating to call them "the most overrated team on the show." They're underrated, nobody ever talks about them. Can someone please back me up on this? I love Galileo, and I'm not gonna hate it just because everyone else likes it. :roll:

I really enjoy both episodes equally, but I just enjoyed Sultan's temple run more which is why it got my vote. This was as close to 50-50 for me as any of these matchups have been so far.

And I want to add this too. It's asking too much to expect these early Season 1 players to know the temple like the back of their hand. The way Jammin' Jon handled those rooms, easy or not, was honestly, very impressive for a first ever temple run. Obviously there were some kinks to smooth out. I'd much rather see Jammin' Jon in the temple than the utterly boring wins like Tall Turban, Genghis Khan, and Dr. Livingstone. Where the players were just average at best. This hate seemed to come out of nowhere. I mean, nobody talks about it at all. Jammin' Jon is underrated, and he deserves all the praise he gets. Him and Jennifer deserve to win and I happen to think this was a wonderful episode. I'm sure others, like TRJ, will agree with me on this too.

Galileo is indeed an amazing episode, and it has been my favorite Silver Snakes episode since I first watched it. The awkwardness of the overall episode is part of Galileo's charm. ;) Like the "You must find one of Galileo's cannonballs and bring it back to its rightful owner line" and how flat Kirk sounds in the temple. I am not calling it the best episode ever, but I don't really consider it overrated. As PPF mentioned, Jammin John and Tia handled their layout very well considering what they went through including being the first temple team ever and the malfunctioning Mine Shaft elevator. I don't expect this episode to have a high production value like the last day of Season 3, and it is understandable if the Silver Snakes had their moments. Luckily, Galileo is highly praised on this forum by many. ;)

I hope that makes sense. I am not saying that everyone should vote for Galileo, but I don't feel like it is overrated. People praise because it was a solid episode despite being on the first day ever. At least the temple run didn't turn out like Wild Bill Hickok where it was riddled with production errors. But if Sultan Saladin wins too, I don't mind at all.  :mrsilver:

And I agree, I like Galileo for its quirkiness, and for Kirk's flatness throughout the episode. This was the first temple run, and Jammin' Jon and hell even Jennifer handled their layout just fine. I don't know if this is a sudden thing, but Galileo is underrated and is not nearly as talked about as other wins on the show. I thought it was an excellent temple run, and Jammin' Jon deserved to win, easy layout or not. :mrsilver:

Well, seeing as how Galileo is not currently up against any of those runs, what does that matter?

Well, it looks like Galileo pulled through! This was a close match-up though, and I would've loved to see both episodes advance. Too bad Sultan Saladin didn't get paired with Trojan Horseshoe or Mush Pot Hat, or else it would advance for sure.  ;)
