I forgot that the Ivory Elephant team also ran into all three temple guards.

Also, I'll pass.

It's Robert, not James.

And I agree, this episode was just as filler as it gets. The sad thing is, it was filmed on the same exact day as Lucky Pig. The only thing I even remember about this episode was the rare Blue/Orange pair, and all the dead ends in the temple run. That's it. And by the way, this was the second shortest triple capture on the show. Lost Taj Mahal Turban was shorter by only four seconds. What a shame too, I really like Blue/Orange as a temple game match up. Fortunately, the next episode to feature it was MUCH better.

It's stupid of people to think that just because one player reaches the artifact, it means they were automatically better players. That's irrelevent to me. You're right too, if Karisa had Bent Shaving Pan's layout, and went in first, she'd waste the entire time just making it to the Room of the Ancient Warriors. It would put Brian and Irish to shame in comparison. I hope you cussed him out good for that.

And Cobra Staff is MUCH more exciting than.... Shaka Zulu. Despite Eusinia being easily confused, their path was longer and harder anyways. So victory was already slim enough as it was. And like you said, Eusinia left plenty of time for David to make up for lost time, which he did. Albeit much slower than Eusinia. Plus, at least they reached the artifact at the last second. Cobra Staff is one of my favorite Season 1 episodes ever and it was very exciting the whole way through. I much prefer it over utterly boring episodes like Silver Saddle Horn, Shaka Zulu, and Joan of Arc. In fact, I think I may actually like this failed escape better than Sir Edmund Hilary and Golden Jaguar. It's very exciting and memorable, and a great performance. People just don't like it just because it's a Purple Parrot temple run. It's very underrated and doesn't get nearly enough credit as it deserves. :?

Yeah, this temple run was just terrible all around. How outer space said they deserved to go to the temple is beyond me.

And guess what's coming up tomorrow.... Poseidon. Another dimwitted player who blew their load, big time.

Yeah, I agree. Not to mention, the Purple Parrots were just painfully uncoordinated in the temple games. Courtney was especially bad too, in like every round. If her and Nate had made it to the temple instead, I doubt they would win. I honestly think it would've been just like the actual temple run, where Janeen moved much too slowly. Unless they really turned it around in the temple run, I have very little high hopes for them either. But you're right though, Lacey and Asher definitely would've won that layout. It was way too easy, especially since Jay and Janeen were literally forced to take shortcuts. This temple run for sure was a letdown, because of Janeen. Lacey and Asher were fast enough, so they for sure would've won with a layout like that. ;)

And yes it's gonna be a while before I cover Good Luck Watch in my failed escape thread. Unless I change things around to cover it next. But I think we can wait a while on that.

I think they played it in its early days, but I'm not sure. I never got Nick Gas so I wouldn't exactly know.

Kind of surprised to see the Mata Hari team rank this low. But thanks to the temple games, it does make sense. Kirk just had no idea what he was doing in the temple games. Although the Silver Snakes looked like a MUCH stronger team than Blue Barracudas were. I would hate to see that girl in the temple. And the temple run really wasn't that bad at all. I didn't think Gareth was slow at all. He actually moved pretty fast. He just had a hard time manuvering through tight spaces because he was rather chubby. So I really don't see the problem with him. He was MUCH better than say.... Kristen from Lucky Pig.

Rinette on the other hand, was a lost cause. Imagine if she had gone in first. It would've been another Blackbeard esque temple run. And don't give me that "But she didn't have enough time!" excuse. She was too slow and didn't make ANY effort whatsoever. Any second runner that just walks through every room, no matter how much time is left, deserves to be criticized. Period. End of story.

Wait a second, somebody actually defended the Enormous Feather episode? All because they reached their artifact and NOT Discarded Seal? Man, people have no common sense whatsoever. Just because a player reaches an artifact, doesn't make them great players. An artifact grab is completely irrelevent to whether or not a player is good. Discarded Seal would've mopped the floor with a layout like Enormous Feather. Hell it probably would've been another Lost Hornpipe esque run if Travis and Elisa had won that layout!

And yeah, I also prefer King Tut over Shaka Zulu. It's much more exciting, and it comes down to the wire. I often think King Tut gets way too much hate both here and other sites. People like to put Eusinia on the same level as Sabrina or Lisa. So what if she was a little hesitant? So what if she was easily confused? At least she knew somewhat what she was doing. Which is more than you can say for literally half the Season 1 girls. I have a feeling people just hate this run just because it's the Purple Parrots, and they're the loser team. So they have this bias that the Purple Parrots always have the worst runs. I can't believe it gets hate in any way. What do you think? Is King Tut overhated and needs more praise?
