Episodes that would've been better if the Purple Parrots won

Wow, through topic digging, I found this topic. And there's another PP fan!

My guess is that if we had made it to the temple in the episodes already mentioned, we'd probably have more wins and probably wouldn't be considered "the biggest losers" on the show.

No kidding. The parrots wouldn't be as bad as they were made out to be on the show. I'm actually pretty satisfied with most of the Season 2 results. It's Season 1 and Season 3 where the parrots really choked the most.

I knew we had a topic like this lingering around here. Anyways, I am going to put my input into each of the episodes that I thought would've been better if the Purple Parrots went to the temple:

The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan: No comment is necessary for this episode. I am pretty sure any team would've done better than these two jokes, and the Purple Parrots in this episode would've definitely be better than John and Tia. Four rooms in 3 minutes? What kind of joke is this? And who gets stuck in the Heart Room? I bet the Purple Parrots would've at least covered six rooms in about the same time John kept running between the Wall Climb and Throne Room.

The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart: Yes, this layout was very lengthy and impossible, but Kristen was just too stupid. I bet the Purple Parrots in this episode would at least have known how to climb the Wall Climb and know how push through an obviously visible wall.

The Silver Horseshoe of Butch Cassidy: Yes, I am another hater of this episode and win. Talk about being the most undeserving team to enter the temple. I think the teams in Map to the Lost Gold Mine and Galileo's Cannonball completed more objectives than her. And what happened if Paula got stuck with Medusa's Lair in this layout? I am sure she would not have a good minute left on the clock.

The Crown of Queen Nzinga: It was just a pathetic run with a pathetic ending. I mean how do you miss the half-pendant that is obviously visible? Especially with an easy layout like this? Just plain awful.

The Marble Armrest of Xerxes: I don't care how tough that layout was, the Green Monkeys team in this run were just so pathetic. I mean the frontrunner obviously did not want to leave the Pit at all and slowly trotted through the bottom floor of the temple (which takes her about two minutes.) The second runner was hopeless also and did not add on any progress. Another undeserving team to enter the temple.

And a couple of more I missed:

Elizabeth I's Golden Ship: I don't really blame the outcome on the Red Jaguars in this run, but I think the Purple Parrots could've made it further in the temple or at least had more time on the clock than these two. Its hard to say though because this had such an unfair temple guard layout.

The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglas: I hate this run so much. Even though Jason and Dana won two pendants, I feel that the Purple Parrots would've been better regardless. I mean Jason had no idea what he was doing in the temple at all, and Dana did not add anything substantial to the run either. At least the Purple Parrot girl wouldn't have been annoying.

You forgot Smashed Printing Plate, Enormous Feather, and (I'm surprised you left this one out), Robin Hood and Marian's Ladder. Also, honorable mentions can go to the likes of Melted Head and Lily Crested Crown, had you chosen to include that. Of course, it's up to you. Word on your above list though, TRJ.

EDIT: Wait, you already included Smashed Printing Plate in your above post. This slow posting of mine needs to stop.

Oh God, I can't believe I missed:

  - Okay, Jeremy and Erica were a dominant team in the pre-temple rounds. But that performance in the temple is just piss poor. Erica was fine in a way, but it was Jeremy who really annoyed me. Really? Are you going to celebrate after pushing two actuators? An above average team would've possibly beat Shaka Zulu.

Enormous Feather of the Me Linh: I didn't realize that this was a Purple Parrot loss. I am pretty sure though that the Purple Parrot girl in this episode wouldn't keep looking moronic after being yelled at Kirk multiple times to hurry up. She is lucky that David laid a nice path out for her, or else she wouldn't have reached the feather!

The Lily-Crested Crown of Clovis the I: Even though the Orange Iguanas won two pendants, that performance in the temple was inferior to usual temple teams. I mean no other contestant besides Katie wasted that much time in the Chamber. And the second runner was not able to add on any progress due to her wasting time. I can't believe this was one of the last episodes I ever saw, it sucked so much!

I love how most of these episodes are Orange Iguanas ones.

I know right? The Orange Iguanas beat the Purple Parrots in all 8 episodes that featured that color combination. And more than half those episodes probably would have been better had the Parrots won instead. Agree about Silk Ladder and Enormous Feather, but Lily Crested Crown I'm on the fence about. Again, I would put that in the honorable mention category. Only because most of the episode was forgettable anyways. I sort of disagree about Golden Ship though. The temple run was beyond disappointing yes, but the team couldn't really help it due to the unfair temple guard placement.

Another honorable mention worthy episode would be the Golden Goblet episode. Shelly was pretty slow, but that layout was just impossible. Still features yet another tiebreaker loss though. Which naturally, is a bit disheartening to watch.

How much better would the Purple Parrot team from the Lucky Pillow episode have done? They won both individual games, but lost a close team game to Missy and John and then lost the tiebreaker.

Wasn't John Henry's Lost Hammer a Purple Parrot loss? I am sure they would've done better in that run too. 

As for the Annie Taylor Purple Parrot team, I could see them score a victory in that run since it didn't have the hardest layout or temple guard placement. But the win probably wouldn't be as memorable as the Blue Barracudas victory.

Okay, I am sure the Orange Iguanas would've done better anyways and would've known how to open a door also.

Yeah, Lost Hammer was not a Purple Parrot temple game loss at all.

As far as Lucky Pillow goes, I think John and Missy deserved to go to the temple. I mean, sure the Parrots once AGAIN choking at the tie breaker was disappointing. But the run was still exciting, and I loved how emotional she was when she won. The layout was a tad easy though. I suppose it could be honorable mention territory, but it's still a great run in my book.
