Rediscovery EP: The Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen

Author's Note: This is one of the episodes in my independent project.  If you have any complaints, first thing to do is to go see the episode directory here:
Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 36px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen."

"Well one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Jeweled Lei," Kirk says in response. "Will it be:
"James and Caitlin of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Jake and Megan of the Blue Barracudas,
"Tyler and Jessica of the Green Monkeys,
"Cato and Jessica of the Orange Iguanas,
"Tony and Nicole of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Kevin and Stephanie of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "but in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"In front of each team there's a rod which stretches across the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will climb onto the rod and they'll shimmy across on it til they reach the other side of the Moat.  That'll be his partner's signal to climb on the rod and shimmy across the Moat too."
"As soon as the second player steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.  Hey teams? are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"You bet your sweet bippy I am," Olmec replies.
"All right then," Kirk replies. "On your marks, get set, GO!"

With the exception of the Green Monkeys, whose first player has trouble crossing her legs over the top of the rod, the teams all take off at a good pace.  The boys on the Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas and Orange Iguanas all get off around the same time, giving their partners the signal to get moving.  The boy on the Silver Snakes drops of the rod onto the deck a few seconds later.
?This game is neck-and-neck,? Kirk comments. ?It just takes four teams, let?s see!? The girls on the Green Monkeys and Purple Parrots arrive at the other side at about the same time and their partners get started right away.  About 25 seconds later, the girls on the Blue Barracudas and Silver Snakes climb off the rods and hit their respective gongs at the same time.  About ten seconds later the Red Jaguars, Orange Iguanas and Purple Parrots? second players get off at about the same time, but the Red Jaguars and Orange Iguanas hit their gongs a split second before the boy on the Purple Parrots reaches his.
?That?s it!? Kirk announces, and the camera shows him standing with the Red Jaguars around their lit gong. ?Whoo, it was neck-and-neck? and? neck-and-neck-and-neck-and-neck! But the Red Jaguars pulled it out in the last second, they?re goin? on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Blue Barracudas?? the camera briefly shows each qualifying team? ?and the Orange Iguanas? and the Silver Snakes! The Green Monkeys and the Purple Parrots came up just a little bit short.  We?ve got a great gift for them for playing though, and here?s what it is.? Tyler, Jessica, Nicole and Tony will each be receiving a copy of Monster House on DVD.

Rediscovery EP: The Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen
« Reply #1 on: May 13, 2007, 04:41:15 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, now it?s time for Olmec to tell us about the Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen.  But pay attention, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you one step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"The last and one of the most famous rulers of the Kingdom of Hawai?i was Queen Lili?uokalani.  She was adopted by the granddaughter of the great King Kamehameha and made it to the throne in the late 1800?s.  The biggest problem for Lili?uokalani was that Americans and Europeans had sailed to the islands to create colonies there.  In fact, a group of Americans even threw the queen off her thrown.
"'Is that any to treat a lady?!' she shouted.  The president at the time, Grover Cleveland, sent her a letter saying that she could return to the throne if she pardoned everyone who helped to overthrow her.
"'There?s no reason they should get out scot-free,' she replied.  Because of this, Lili?uokalani never returned to the throne, and without its queen, the Kingdom of Hawai?i crumbled.  The queen was later taken from her home, and the American officials who captured her also took her jeweled lei, the necklace that symbolized a Hawai?ian Queen?s right to rule.  Your task is to find the Jeweled Lei of the Last Hawai?ian Queen and bring it here."

"Thank you Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So tell us, where is the Jeweled Lei?"
Olmec replies:
"The Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen can be found in the Junction of the Secret Shafts." The camera zooms in on the Jeweled Lei situated on top of the outside wall of the Junction of the Secret Shafts, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we're now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Lili?uokalani the queen of: Tahiti, Hawai?i???
Stephanie rings in: ?Hawai?i???
?Correct,? Olmec replies.
?Nice job, Silver Snakes, step down,? Kirk says, and the Silver Snakes move down to the second step. ?Remember teams, you?re gonna have to stomp hard on that marking if you want to ring in.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Was Lili?uokalani: The first queen of Hawai?i, The last queen of Hawai?i, or The youngest???
Cato buzzes in: ?The last queen???
?Correct,? answers Olmec, and the Orange Iguanas move down a step.
?Good move waiting to hear all the answers before they buzz in,? Kirk comments. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?When Lili?uokalani was queen, foreigners began to settle in the Kingdom of Hawai?i.  Were these settlers from: The United States and Europe, Europe and Asia, or Africa and Australia??
After a moment, Megan stomps down and guesses: ?Europe and U.S.A.???
?Correct,? Olmec answers, and the Blue Barracudas move down a step.
?Red Jaguars can still get on the board,? Kirk narrates. ?Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec asks:
?Was the queen?s necklace called a: Lei, Lee, or Lie??
Stephanie gongs in: ?A lei???
?That is correct,? Olmec replies, and the Silver Snakes walk down onto the third step.
?One more correct response and the Silver Snakes are going to the Temple Games,? Kirk explains to the audience. ?Olmec, next question.?
And given the command, Olmec asks:
?Did the queen?s jeweled lei: Show that she was adopted, Symbolize her right to rule, or Draw attention away from a bad haircut??
Kevin buzzes in: ?Umm? her right to rule???
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Silver Snakes move down onto the bottommost step.
?Okay, there?s one team going on to the Temple Games!? Kirk announces. ?We?re still looking for one more, is it the Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas or Orange Iguanas? Next question.?
Olmec continues:
?Is the largest of the Hawaiian Islands: Kauai, Oahu, or Hawaii??
No one buzzes in for a second, but then Jake rings in: ?Hawaii???
?That is correct,? Olmec replies.
?Blue Barracudas are now just one step away from the Temple Games,? Kirk explains. ?But there?s still time for the other teams to catch up.  Olmec, continue.?
Olmec asks:
?Were the Hawaiian Islands created by: Earthquakes, Volcanoes, or The Island Fairy??
Caitlin stomps in first: ?Earthquakes???
?Incorrect,? Olmec says in response.
Cato hits the marking and confidently answers: ?Volcanoes.?
?That is correct,? answers Olmec, and the Orange Iguanas move down to the third level.
?Orange Iguanas next correct response and they go to the Temple Games,? Kirk explains. ?Red Jaguars can still catch up.  Next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Lili?uokalani?s lei was made out of jewels, but is a  lei usually made out of: Shark teeth, Flowers, or Gold??
Cato stomps down first and guesses: ?Flowers???
?That is correct!? Olmec shouts, and the Orange Iguanas move down to join the Silver Snakes on the bottom step.
?Okay, we?ve got our two teams!? Kirk comments, walking up the middle of the bottommost Step of Knowledge to stand behind the two qualifying teams. ?The Orange Iguanas and the Silver Snakes are gonna go head-to-head in the Temple! The rest of you guys can come on down here.? The Red Jaguars and the Blue Barracudas move further down the steps to meet with Kirk. ?These guys gave it a great effort too.  We got a gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.?
Dee reads the consolation prize:
"Look at the entertaining fun you?ll have when you strap on Moon Shoes.  Super excitement is yours when you bounce higher than ever! Don?t leave Earth without Moon Shoes, from Big Time Toys!"
Kirk is standing between the two excited teams at the bottom of the Steps of Knowledge. ?These teams are fired-up,? he says, ?and they?ll be playing for the rights to enter Olmec?s Temple right after this!? The camera runs along the outside wall of the Temple, stops in front of the Mine Shaft and fades to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen
« Reply #2 on: May 13, 2007, 04:42:58 PM »
Kirk is standing in front of the Junction of the Secret Shafts between the Orange Iguanas and the Silver Snakes, the Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen visible in the room behind them. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so why don?t we talk to our team players?? He turns to interview the wavy-brown-haired girl just stage-left of him. ?On the Silver Snakes, we have Stephanie.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? she answers.
?And you?re into swimming and you also like Heeling,? Kirk reads. ?You want to be a doctor or something??
?Umm?? Stephanie says. ?Oh, I get it now! No, that?s like skating but I wear Heelys, not rollerblades.?
?Oh,? Kirk says. ?You mastered any good tricks??
?Um, just the basics,? she replies. ?Trying to learn to grind a rail.?
?Sounds like a challenge,? Kirk says as he goes to interview the dark-haired boy on the far left of the screen. ?And Kevin, how old are you??
?Twelve,? he answers.
?And I understand you were in a sandcastle-building competition,? Kirk reads on his index card. ?Did you win??
?Um, yeah,? he says. ?It was last year, just a game my friends made up when we went to the beach.  It wasn?t a real thing but, um, my friend?s parents and my mom were the judges, and I scored second place out of the six of us.?
?What did it look like?? Kirk asks.
?Um,? explains Kevin, ?it was like a drip castle on a flat-top sand mountain.?
?Well let?s see if you can score first place here,? says Kirk. ?Let?s hear it for the Silver Snakes!? The audience applauds for a moment as Kirk turns to interview the girl just right of center screen, whose dark brown hair is tied into a ponytail by a blue scrunchie. ?And on the Orange Iguanas, Jessica, how old are you??
?Thirteen,? she says.
?And it says here you have two interesting? uh? interests,? Kirk says. ?You like painting and surfing.  Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Jessica explains, ?I like painting cause I get to express myself, show what I?m thinking, and my older brother Mitchell got me into surfing.?
?What?s the biggest wave you?ve surfed?? Kirk asks.
?I think six, seven, maybe eight feet,? she guesses. ?I didn?t have a ruler.? She laughs.
?Well, either way, that?s a pretty big wave,? Kirk says as he goes to interview the Asian boy on the far right of the screen, whose spiky black bangs stop a few inches above his eyebrows. ?And Cato, tell me how old you are.?
?Thirteen,? replies Cato.
?And you like to play card games, you?re on your school?s track team, and you practice tae kwon do,? he reads. ?How long have you been taking that??
?A year and a half, almost two years,? Cato says.
?What belt do you have?? Kirk asks.
?A danbo belt,? he explains, ?it?s this red-and-black stripe belt.  Just one more rank and I?ll have a first-degree black belt.?
?I wonder if those moves can help you win here,? Kirk comments. ?Let?s hear it for the Orange Iguanas!? The audience applauds again.

?I think we?ve got some real competition here today? the sandcastle-builder, the Heelys-skater, the tae kwon do master and the surfer,? Kirk says. ?You guys ready to play??
?YEAH!? The players shout as an answer.
?Okay then, why don?t you go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says, and the players walk offscreen in different directions. ?I'll explain what's going on here.  In the Temple Games, each team is competing to win?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life.  The winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games.  Olmec, tell us about the first one.?

Olmec begins:
?One of the problems for Lili?uokalani was that Americans were constantly sailing to the Hawai?ian Islands and trying to colonize there.  In this game, you will try to claim your own island.  When Kirk gives the signal, row out to the island and, without touching the water, mount your flag on the island.  Then, sail back and return to the dock.
?The first player to mount their flag and return with both feet on the dock? or the player that?s furthest along after 30 seconds? wins.?
?Oh, they?re gonna be claiming islands, sounds hard,? Kirk says, standing in the middle of the dock. ?Let?s set the clock for 30 seconds.? The clock then appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Cato and Kevin row out to the islands, but Cato rows out using the flag rather than the oar he was given.  He plants the flag a bit faster than Kevin does, with 19 seconds remaining.  He also manages to turn the boat around much quicker, and runs back up the dock with 4 seconds left.
?That?s it!? Kirk says as Kevin pulls himself in close to the dock.  He sets foot on the dock as Kirk declares the winner. ?Orange Iguanas got back first, so that gives them the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds for a moment, then Kirk turns to Kevin. ?Don?t worry Silver Snakes, you can catch up in the next game.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.?

Olmec continues:
?Lili?uokalani wore a lei made out of many jewels.  In this game, you will gather a few jewels to make your own lei.  Before you stands a huge spider web with several cubbyholes around the outer edges.  When Kirk gives the signal, fling yourself onto the spider web in front of you and climb up to one of the holes and break it open.  If there is a jewel inside, grab it, come back down and place it in your bin.  Otherwise, climb towards another cubbyhole and break that one open.
?The first player to find all four jewels? or the player that?s found more jewels in 60 seconds? wins.?
?So they?re going into those caves to find the jewels,? says Kirk. ?Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Jessica and Stephanie launch themselves onto the nets.  Jessica starts climbing up the left side of her net, finding a sapphire in the top-left cubbyhole, which is the second one she tries, with 47 seconds remaining.  On the other hand, Stephanie starts in the middle, grabbing an amethyst in the dead-center cave and bringing it back down to drop in her bin with 45 seconds to go.  Jessica gets the sapphire in her bin with :41 left on the clock.
?This is gonna be a close match, I think,? Kirk comments.  Both girls meet empty cubbyholes near the middle of their nets, but Jessica finds an amethyst in the next hole as Stephanie meets an empty hole in the top-right corner.  Jessica brings down the amethyst with :26 left, just before Stephanie can put the sapphire she found in the right-side hole in her bin.  With 12 seconds left, Jessica places an orange topaz in her bin and Stephanie drops in a pink agate.  They each reach a new hole at the :06 mark, but Jessica?s is empty, whereas Stephanie finds the last gem.  As soon as she puts it in, time expires and the ceiling spotlights flash to indicate that the Temple Game is over.
?Okay, well the judges say you put it in in time,? Kirk tells Stephanie, ?so you win a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds again. ?So it?s all tied up, half Pendant each, we go to the third and final game, it?s worth a whole Pendant.  Olmec, tell us.?

Olmec narrates:
?Lili?uokalani was removed from the throne by an American forces, but in this game, your team will help her fight her way back.  On the wall before you are four regiments of the American forces.  When Kirk gives the signal, load the slingshot and fire a cannonball, and your partner will catch the cannonball and stick it on the first regiment.  Once you?ve defeated a regiment, you can climb up and to face the next regiment.
?The first team to defeat the entire invasion force? or the team that?s defeated the most regiments in 60 seconds? wins.?
?This is for the Temple Run,? Kirk says. ?Let?s put the 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears in the corner of the screen as Kirk walks toward the camera and then disappears from the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Jessica and Stephanie begin to fire cannonballs that their teammates should be able to catch.  Jessica is a batter shot than Stephanie, so Cato covers the first target with 51 seconds remaining while Kevin takes down the first regiment with 43 seconds to go.  However, Kevin is a faster climber than Cato, so that at least closes the gap somewhat.  The Orange Iguanas cover their second target with 37 seconds remaining, while it takes the Silver Snakes until the :20 mark to get that far.  Cato covers the third target with 13 seconds left, but he doesn?t defeat the last regiment in time, and the Silver Snakes can?t cover the third target before the ceiling lights flash to end the game.
?Okay, so let?s see how they did,? Kirk says as he runs onscreen to declare the winner. ?Silver Snakes took down two regiments, but the Orange Iguanas took down three! Orange Iguanas get the full Pendant, they got a Pendant and a half.  They?re goin? to the Temple!? Jessica jumps up and down and high-fives Cato while in midair.
Kirk then goes to talk to the Silver Snakes. ?These guys gave it a great effort too.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.? Kevin and Stephanie will each be receiving a $100 U.S. Savings Bond provided by Skechers.
Kirk is standing just right of the Orange Iguanas in front of the equipment for the third Temple Game. ?We?ll see if these guys can make it through the Temple and retrieve that Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera passes between the two giant walls used for the Temple Game, then zooms in on the bucket in the Mine Shaft before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen
« Reply #3 on: May 13, 2007, 04:43:40 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs with his hands on Cato and Jessica's shoulders. "Welcome back to Legends," he says. "The Orange Iguanas have proven themselves worthy and earned the right to enter the Temple.  But first, Olmec?s gonna give them some information to help them retrieve the Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts, where you can grab the Jeweled Lei.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
?There, climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Dark Overlook, and correctly place all three torches to open the door? to the Shrine? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, but be careful? one of the suits of armor could be possessed by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life! Next, race up to the Laser Light Room, find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 ? Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am," says Cato.
"Very well Cato," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards? the Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen.  Hidden in the Temple are three ventilation shafts which let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade in your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it's Jessica's turn to enter and try her luck.  Hidden somewhere inside the Temple is the other half of your Pendant.  If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Jeweled Lei, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Jeweled Lei in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:"
?   First, they?re both going to get an XBOX 360 game package, complete with two new video games.
?   If they can grab the Lei in three minutes, they?re each going to get a $1,000 Toys ?R? Us gift card.
?   If they can bring the Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen out of the Temple before three minutes is up, they?ll both be going to St. Martin! The Golden Tulip St. Martin beach resort has its own private beach, water polo, and all the amenities of Golden Tulip International.  Golden Tulip International, for a prize package totaling $13,400!

"All right, let's see if these guys can go to St. Martin!" Kirk says, excited. "So Cato, maybe you could tell us your strategy, and how you think you're gonna get to the Jeweled Lei of the Hawai?ian Queen."
"We?re," Cato begins, pausing momentarily after the first word, "gonna head through the bottom, but if there?s locked doors? we?re just gonna go up and come back down somewhere else."
"Well let's see if that works out," Kirk says. "Mouthpieces in.  Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec moans as he lowers the gate.
"And let's set the clock? for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "Oh, and let?s get Cato the tae kwon do master out in front here.  On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There he goes, and he?s headed down!? Kirk shouts as Cato races through the Temple Gate and slides down into the Crevasse. ?He said he?s just gonna head through the bottom, let?s see if that works out!? Cato takes the upper crawl tube to enter the Mine Shaft and climbs down the ladder. (2:46) He piles three rocks into the bucket, but on the fourth, the rock slab which blocked the door leading into the Crystal Cave then rises all the way.  Cato then crawls through the already-open doorway to meet the first TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah! Scared him, scared me!? Kirk comments as Cato hands over his Pendant of Life. (2:34) He pulls down one of the stalactites on the ceiling (the one stage-right of the ladder), but the door leading into the Junction of the Secret Shafts remains shut.  However, the door leading into the Dragon?s Lair opens after the stalactite falls, and Cato climbs up through it. (2:21) He grabs all four horns in the front of the room in one heap and brings them to the back, where he starts placing them in the dragon head around the door leading upward.  When all four are in place, a dragon roar sounds, the dragon?s eyes light up and the door into the Knights? Barracks opens. (2:07)
?He?s making great time,? Kirk comments as Cato picks up the sword lying on the platform on the front railing of the Knights? Barracks, ?and right now he?s on top of the Necklace!? Cato first tries to place the sword in the camera-right sheath.  The door leading into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey opens and he goes on. (1:57) He grabs the base of the statue, but just as he?s placing it on the platform, out jumps the second TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh! Temple Guard! Go Jessica!? Kirk shouts as the Guard grabs Cato.  Jessica races into the Temple and retraces her partner?s path. ?Into the Mine Shaft! Into the Crevasse! Oh, she passes up the half Pendant!? The half Pendant is tacked onto the wall just right of the door leaving the Mine Shaft, and Jessica enters the Crystal Cave without noticing it.  When she enters the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, 1:22 remains.  She grabs the torso and head of the statue at the same time, and places them in position on top of the base rather quickly.  She looks around to see if the door leading into the Switch Inferno opened, and since it didn?t, she crawls through the door into the Dungeon. (1:09) She jumps down, busts through the stone wall and enters the Switch Inferno.  She heads towards the wall facing the Junction of the Secret Shafts, but before she can even reach the wall, out from behind the middle gold door comes the final TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh, that?s it,? Kirk says as the Temple Guard grabs onto Jessica?s wrist with 1:01 remaining on the clock.  The clock soon fades and disappears. ?These guys were fast, but she passed up the half Pendant, it was in the Rock Quarry.  Cato the tae kwon do expert, Jessica the artist surfer.  They cleared a great path, and they still get the XBOX game prizes.  We gotta get outta here.  Join us again next time for another great adventure of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? Jessica runs back onscreen to join Cato and Kirk, and the camera shows several different views from along the outside wall of the Temple as the credits roll.

Pendants Won: 1.5
Location of Artifact: The Junction of the Secret Shafts

There were no Orange Iguanas victories in Season 2, but this Temple Run should probably have been a win.  Cato and Jessica were both smart and insanely fast players, but they had to put up with a tricky Temple design in which all three Temple Guards were impossible to avoid.  No doors to the Laser Light Room opened, indicating that they couldn't have started along the top and thus dodged the Guard in the Crystal Cave.  The only mistake during the run was that Jessica missed the half Pendant on the right side of the door in the Mine Shaft which led into the Crystal Cave.  She entered the Temple with 1:52 left, but was removed one room away from the artifact just fifty-one seconds later.

Trivia and Records:
This is the first loss with the artifact in the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  This is also the only time the third Temple Guard appeared one room away and stopped the game with at least a minute on the clock.
