Legends Episode Ranking System - COMPLETE

You guys remember when I said that I would take all of the rankings and put them on a blog site? Well, I have been testing one out the past couple of days and here is a preview of it for "The Stone Head of the Evil King":

Right now, this is a rough rough draft of how I want the episode rankings to look like. The formatting is pretty bad right now, but I am going to fix it once I come up with a desirable layout. Here is what I want to incorporate for each ranking:

- Background info on each episode
- Section for author of the review
- A way that other people can vote for the episode itself
- A Legends themed background
- Other Legends themed features

What do you guys think so far? It will look much better once I get the best looking format. I am going to work with the Stone Head one before I post anymore episodes.

It's alright, needs work obviously. Maybe you could work on a tribute page too? I want to feel like I should be thanked for all that I've done. If you can thank everyone else for starting random polls in the Chamber, then I should get thanked too for a MAJOR project too.

So, it's been several months since this project has been completed and I still have not gotten around to making a tribute page for certain people that deserve to be acknowledged. No this is not an April Fool's Day joke. I want to finally complete something that deserved to be made a long time ago. I never should've waited this long to post this, but I had several setbacks with graduate school and part laziness on my part. No excuse for this because I should've done it immediately after completing our last episode. This post right here will be my tribute page and I am going to even link it in the first post so people can see who played a part in this project. I apologize once again it took so long to post this, but hopefully this tribute is both adequate and make up for us.

****PURPLE PARROTS FAN (PPF)****

PPF was the biggest contributor to this project. She ALWAYS gave me feedback for every episode I wrote a review for, and always pointed out my Fogg-Ups or mistakes. But the main thing that she did was actually help me out A LOT with this project. Seriously, I appreciate this a lot. If it wasn't for PPF, I would have never completed this project at such a fast rate. I might not even be half-way done if it wasn't for her! I  always enjoyed your feedback and more importantly I enjoyed the reviews you wrote too. I know how time consuming they were, but you did a solid effort in following the format I used. I am sorry I didn't give you the recognition that you should've gotten earlier, that was not fair at all. I really enjoyed working on the compilation reviews the most. Those were the best ones because we were able to give each other feedback and work on the same episodes together. I really hope you enjoyed the episode reviews like I did. I will be sure to give you all of the credits for your reviews when I feature them on my website. Once again, your help was very much appreciated!

I appreciated anyone that gave feedback for these episode reviews too. I know at times some of these reviews were for episode that were not interesting, but I know that some of you guys read them. Especially people like PP319, PP4L, GM1, and TSM. I appreciate your feedback also. Of course, I appreciate this forum for allowing to post such a daunting task. You guys rock, even though that goes without saying.

****TOMB RAIDER FORUMS****

The original idea for this project goes to a user whose name escapes me from another forum. If you don't know what Tomb Raider is, it is a gaming franchise where an [sexy] archaeologist named Lara Croft explores different tombs and ruins. The said user made a "Level Review" thread for one of the TR games where he rated each level by different category and got an overall running score for each level. I wanted to incorporate his idea the same way, but only with Legends episodes. And with 120 Legends episode, I knew it would be daunting but fun task to try and rank every individual episode. I also used some of the ideas from THK's thread too for making this topic. But most of it came from this one user on the TR forum. Thanks once again nameless dude.

To cap it off, thanks for Nickelodeon for creating such a unique and amazing game show for kids. I can't think of any other game show that can generate more discussion then our very own Legends.   You guys gave us 120 episode, and we appreciate that. Even if that means episodes like Golden Cricket Cage and Bifocal Monocle. Other than that, thanks for giving us 3 great years and some amazing episodes.

Yay, the tribute page has been made at long last! It looks great, and I especially love how you color coded everything too. And thank you, for making this whole project in the first place. I always loved reading your reviews, and I especially loved your commentary on downright horrible episodes like Cricket Cage and Bifocal Monocle. And thanks for letting me be part of this too. I always wanted to do something like this, and I thought I might help you out. And boy did I help you out or what! I also liked our collaborations the best. I liked how we could fill each other in with what parts of the review needed writing, and how things should be scored. I loved writing these reviews, even if they took a while to write. I also appreciated your feedback on the stuff I wrote. I always thought I wrote too little, but you still read and enjoyed my reviews anyways. Can't wait until you finish constructing the site. I'm sure it will look great once it's finished.

Thank you once again for letting me be part of this. I almost cringe when I look at my first reviews, because it looks as if I threw it together in two seconds. But hey, the first reviews are always a learning experience, right? And my reviews did get longer and longer the more I wrote them. So there's that. And how did I know you were gonna throw John and Tia into this? I remember you did that exact same thing when you did that "best win tourney" over a year ago. Great stuff there.

Just wanted to pin this thread, so we can keep track of this thread easier. Since this is a project both TRJ and I worked very hard on for months on end, and since TRJ did want to turn our project into a site. I hope nobody minds.

Here is a little update:

I went back and changed all of my episode titles for the Purple Parrot episodes from a Magenta color to a Purple color. I originally chose Magenta because I didn't like how dark the color Purple went with this forum. But I feel that the Magenta color is not accurate for the Purple Parrots. So I changed all of the episode titles in my original post back to Purple and did the same thing in each of my reviews. Hopefully that looks better.

Also, I wanted to put together a photo gallery, which is an idea I've had, (and have brought up a lot), for a long time now. I don't know if you can fit that, but I could make a separate site for it and you could attach/link the gallery to the main site. If not, then that's fine too.

EDIT: And I tweaked my review of "Dr. Livingstone" a little bit. I wrote a little more to some sections to add extra detail to it, and I fixed a bunch of typos in the review too. Just to make the review look a little nicer and more professional.

I think the photo gallery idea sounds great. Will that be all the screencaps that you have on your computer? I can certainly add to your collection too. Especially for episodes like Queen Boadicea, Stone Head, Kamehameha, Atahualpa, Cracked Crown, William the Conqueror, Anne Bonny, and a whole buttload more if you don't have them already.

Yes, it's all the episodes I have saved to my computer, and separate files. My screencaps are frame by frame pictures of each episode from the moat to the temple run. And coincidentally, all the episodes you just mentioned above are all ones I don't have. So it would be great if you could add those screencaps to the collection as well.

Just a slight update: I fixed the Steps of Knowledge picture used twice in the Mata Hari episode review. I was re reading that particular review the other day, and I noticed that mistake. Thankfully, I was able to find the actual moat picture, and I added that to the moat portion of the review. Everything else was kept the same though.
